my I-130 got approved on Dec 6, 2006.. so i sent it last sept. 06 and i called today.. the lady said u had an intview and before she could finish saying interview she said no u dont and she tired to get a supervisor and than she told me she couldnt find out and told me to call back in a couple of weeks.../

Ok, that sounds really really weird. I wonder why she started to say it then went and got a supervisor....very strange. I would call back and ask to speak to a supervisor - they will put you through to one and the supervisors actually do know what they are talking about.

they acutally didnt look anything up she just flat out told me that.. i was kind if surpised she was kinda of being rude...

Do they track the times call and do a comment history?

I am sure they do, I have read posts from people where the operator says 'you called yesterday' etc etc, a few that have been told not to call back so often - whatever!

That's interesting, because it seems to happen all the time, everyone getting different answers. Did the person you spoke to actually seem to be looking it up?

The person I had was really nice and friendly and you could tell she was actually looking. She said it's strange as they normally finish at the end of the 2nd week or whatever, however she said "they haven't told us they are finished yet".

I think the different answers come from whether the operator actually bothers to look it up or they just say - finished Friday' because that's when, in theory, it should be done.

Thanks Liz! I spoke with NVC just now, she mentioned to me that Montreal has not told them that they are finished scheduling for the month, so she suggested I call back on Wednesday as they should have completed scheduling for this month by then.

I called just now they told me that they were acutally finished on friday.....

i called yesterday they said nothing yet. they told me once i have an interview the automated response will let me know i have one and than if i wanted to know exactly what date they speak to an operator....

yeah i have, but nothing yet.. we should have something for us in janaury becase our dates are very close with the person that finished on 11/08/07...

hopefully we will know for sure by the end of this week...

Nobody got a December interview? I surely didn't, just got done at the NVC. Although that didn't stop me from calling them...twice...while they were scheduling this month. Got my first introduction of the canned "we don't know when you'll be scheduled, we get open slots from the embassy" line.

Has anyone thought of using FOIA to get NVC metrics per embassy?

Yes, I had a look at her timeline because it seemed awfully strange. The thing with her is that she actually applied in October of 2006 - so it took 10 months from application to interview, took 5 months for the NOA2. Makes you wonder if interview dates have something to do with original application date as opposed to just finishing at NVC date...hmm

I got a letter from the NVC in like october or Nov. 2006.. and i acutally had a VERY HARD TIME getting all the paper work for packet 3.. if i got everything i would have finished in like jan or feb... but it took me like 5 months just to get everything together because of all the differnt wait times i had to undergo and than they actaully wanted the orginals so i had to wait another month. Im hoping it is like this.

When i called the NVC they tell me that they are working on the secudling and it might be in dec if not jan... So i think i may have some sort of priority? what you guys think??

i was wondering if you went to the montreal consulate or ottawa embassy wouldnt they allow my wife to get a visa to come in until her interview date is near? instead of going to the border...?
