Hi everyone,

My wife had her visa interview on March 28th and the visa was issued on March 31st in Guangzhou. However, we still haven't received the passport and immigration packet in the mail. We registered for Premium delivery service through EMS for home delivery to Shanghai. All mail has been suspended to be delivered to homes in Shanghai due to the extreme lockdown measures. My question is about the process. After the consulate issues and prints the visa, do they hand it over to the courier? To CITIC Bank and then to the courier (EMS)? I received a airway bill in my first two email notifications and the last two, the airway bill tracking number was then removed. I guess that means it is still at the consulate in Guangzhou? Is there anyone else who has their passport from Guangzhou or has their passport stuck in Guangzhou (or stuck in transit)?

I never got DQ'ed, but I did finally get my expedite approved! The interview date is on March 28th...finally!!!

I applied for medical grounds as well. I was rejected the first two times. Keep trying! They changed their mind on the third try for me.

I need to preface this post as showing that I applied 3 times to NVC. The first two times, I was rejected. I called my congressional representative and they worked with me to apply and get approved the third time. Without her help, I don't think any of this would have been possible.

* Date NVC Acknowledged and Replied:  February 21, 2022

* Date US Embassy/Consulate Approved Expedite: February 22, 2022

We were reviewed. Our submit date was Sept. 30th. Every civil and financial document was accepted, except my tax return. It didn't say why other than it was "incomplete or missing parts". It is my full tax return that my accountant prepared as a PDF...not even a scanned copy. I am so confused.

I received a message in the inbox that said "tax return" in the subject line asking me to re-upload my tax return. I thought the message subject line was supposed to say "Case FE Review note"? Is this difference significant? Will this push me to the back of the queue again?

My situation is unique. I am American citizen and my wife is Chinese and we live in China. I filed my I-130 with USCIS (Nebraska service center) on June 4, 2021 and received a job offer in US on Sept 1, 2021. I received an approval notice from USCIS on Sept 8, 2021 and NVC case file creation and invoice ID numbers on Sept 10, 2021. My lawyer applied for DCF with the consulate in Guangzhou. Still haven’t heard back from the consulate. I can’t withdraw an approved I-130. Can I re-file with DCF? Is DCF even worth it? Would I qualify for NVC expedite? I don’t know what to do! Help!
