  1. I AM LEAVING VISAJOURNEY.COM

Hello Members of VisaJourney.com. I finally came to the conclusion that I no longer

feel a sense of being a devoted member of this website. I have decided to bail-out of

this forum and request that my membership account be lifted, and closed.

This is not a snap decision to leave. I have had this thought for several weeks now and

today I put my thoughts in action. I never first examined the goals of this website or why

its called a VisaJourney. My short stay here has caused me some painful confusion with

the manner in which such an apparently important tool has created a platform where few

have chosen to destroy. I have not seen one, not one, word of support for anyone coming

to this forum seeking help. Instead the person is belittled and ridiculed, called names and

    laughed at.

I cannot in good conscience buy into the idea that OFF TOPIC is not a forum for those

seeking assistance of any kind, or that OFF TOPIC is fair game for anyone who enters. To insult anyone hiding behind my computer screen is not what I am about. I refuse to

be part of this group any longer. If I came across as being aggressive in any of my only

two or three postings, it is because I felt personally insulted by a thread I read, thus I

posted a reply or comment knowingly smearing the writer.

But I chose to leave during this supposedly time of goodwill towards men without any

Ill feelings towards no one. It may well be said that no one forced me to stay this long.

I did so hoping that I could some day exercise my expertise is assisting someone, anyone

    making their dream come true.

I am a very lucky person indeed, having been born in this country. My family is also U.S.

born citizens, so my coming to VisaJourney.com was not in personal expectation of getting any help for myself or my family with visa or any other immigration issue. I came

here to try to make someone`s dream come true, as I mentioned above. I never visited the

other forums here at VJ because the wind here blew me off course of my mission.

I leave with a very heavy heart but before I leave I want to wish each and every one of

you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Prior to writing this thread, I searched for MY ACCOUNT in an effort to just close it myself, to no avail. I do not know if there is such a tool at this site. I wanted to close my

account instead of having to write a request to a moderator, which I suspect may block

this thread in an effort to silence me. But I will write a request to Mags.

You all have a wonderful Holiday season, and remember, its O.K. to say Ho Ho Ho!!!

To combat those rumors, the candidate attended church with reporters in tow at the 10 a.m. services that included a presentation by the Sunday School members.

    is Hillary's doing?

    You guys need Reading 101.

    devilette resorts to insults again.

Don't worry....if she hasn't already, she'll report all of us to Mags, Lal, and Ewok for "flaming her" because we're trying to explain what she refuses to understand....

PlatyPius, I agree. She reported me the same day she did you. That was when Mags shut down a thread. With people

    like this in our midst.......

  3. Hey, the babe thingy is just my way of being civic. Sorry I got you pissed. Now really, close shop and go take a cold

shower, or something to cool you off....This is a forum to exchange ideas I presumed to act like someone with something

to say...I know that I am not a favorite around here like you are...But excuse me if I caused discomfort with my thought,

whatever you think about it..It`s my thought. Thank you. Oh and you are welcome. Friends.....????

I assume you meant CIVIL, rather than civic.

    But seriously....dude....grow a new attitude.

Hello, this is Boblop...again! It seems long long ago, at post #6 I made a comment with respect to the stabbed

    fireman.

Really, my comment got this whole bullsh**t now being spewed right and left here until today. It seems like I made

that comment weeks ago. Now cut this bullsh**t off. I really have to agree with FancyPants, on everything he says

about the holes and gaps to this whole story. Now please, find something else to write about.

I am still nursing the scratches that I suffered from a certain young lady that took issue with my comment. I am not

sorry for that comment, but am sorry to hear people arguing an issue that probably never happened.

Regardless of who got stabbed and who did it, just cool it. It has now been days that you people have been at each

others throats about this sh****T! I said that I would have nothing more to say when I left the story, but I peeked in

here and find you still at each other....That is not healthy for this forum...While it is healthy to debate, this issue has

gone in a wrong direction....So FancyPants, no need to be a member of the ACLU to be able to see that here you have

a textbook example of racial profiling, because 6 Hispanics were involved. Amen.

  4. Boblop, does the name consolemaster mean anything to you?

Jenn, I`ll google consolemaster and get back to you on this, O.K.?

I just had to admit to myself that I was indeed very rude to Lisa.

But you can save me the trouble and define your meaning of that name.

Oh you just remind me of someone I knew back in the day.

Well, now Jenn, if I am starting to ring bells around here, tell me more. That`s very interesting indeed.

    Peace to you too.

You are one strange individual.

Lisa, you beat me with this remark. You are so right, I have been told many times what you just said.

    Peace!

  6. Hmmm... now let's see how long for this one to flare up [the thread].

Hmmm, sounds to me like a mild response to the Hispanics label being floated around town that they are the

brown boogie man, illegals and criminals. Ummm sure sounds like it. I might be wrong.

    come again?

Not to be rude, or anything like that....but like I said I might be wrong. What is your opinion? I see that you seem to

    misunderstand what I wrote.

Or perhaps this calls for the thought police to come in.

I'm asking you to clarify what you said.

Just clarify what you do not understand. If you can tell me that you have not heard the terms that i wrote above with

respect to the usual suspects "illegals, bla bla bla", then I will clarify specially for you.

I am anti-illegal, and from the discussions I've had both on the boards and off, the only people who ever use those terms are ones who don't agree with me, and are using them as accusations when I've never said them.

I don't understand your whole original post, so if you could just explain what you meant, that'd be great.

I said earlier that I would write no more on this thread. But babe, you keep spinning the issue. Tell me ####### you do

no understand. And I personally don`t give a F***k what you view is on legals, illegals or in between. Now thats it here!!

    1 - I'm not your babe.

2 - No one put a gun to your head. You chose to come back in here despite what you said.

3 - I answered your question. YOU ASKED. Dur.

3 - #######? and thanks for the

  8. Also, if the police aren't classifying it as "racially fueled" there's got to be more to the story. Because if they think these guys stabbed the firefighter just for coming into their restaurant, that would obviously be a hate crime.

I didn't understand what you wrote either.

I am fu**ng overwhelmed with the lack of knowledge to what goes on against the immigration bullsh***t. I myself am

mystifiied and surprised to see that incident occur. The first thought that came to mind was payback time. It could have

been you. That fireman was just in the wrong spot at the wrong time when some latinos were probably stoned and the

presence of a white man just snapped them into rage from so much bullsh**t they hear daily from Dobbs, and the

Republican Bush Junta. But like I said earlier, I might be wrong....This is the last statement from me to this thread. FIRE

    AWAY!!!

  11. OH MY GOD!!! I am on the internet a lot and all around on various forums related to whatever might be going on in my life. I've had lots of experience with trolls and really have learned to just ignore them. The bullies!!!! I haven't experienced that until I came to VJ and there are several boards that I simply avoid like the plague because of the atmosphere they create there. I've stated how I feel about it and now I've moved on. I'm watching how I feel in other boards here and we'll see if I stick around after my journey is over or not. It COULD be a cool place to hang out and lend support because it's an incredibly emotional and life changing journey.....but I deal with enough ####### irl, no way I'm coming on VJ for added grief. I'm happy about this post, because now I don't feel like everyone is in the clique and doesn't see what I see.

It's always good to hear from members who normally don't post because they've been bullied into silence.:yes:

I don't think that the above poster was 'bullied into silence', Steven...if she makes a choice to post or leave, that's her choice. It's not that she's 'afraid of the bullies' so much that she doesn't post.

There's a difference to a personality conflict where two adults simply don't click in temperment, and bullying.

I think it's all in perspective, really. We can each look at a person and walk away with different opinions. Bully is a bit OTT, no? No one here's gonna get a faceful of dirt shoved in his/her face during recess. People will agree, people will disagree. And some people are 'bullies' and some are 'wussies', and everything in between....at the end of the day...if you don't get on with someone, one should either manually or automatically ignore that person. Problem solved.

This thread, to me, reads like passive aggressive finger pointing at it's worst. We're all adults here. We all make our own choices. To have to place blame for one's choices on a stranger seems silly to me.

If you don't like someone, ignore him/her. If that person is iyo out of line...report that person and let admin deal with it. We're not all going to agree....we're not all going to like each other. And we're all at a stage of a v frustrating process...so naturally the stress level is going to be high sometimes. The answer is not having to wrap everything in cotton wool and walk on eggshells in fear of offending someone.

Your "aggressive finger pointing at its worst" hits this thread square in the middle..I agree with you. I do not post

often due to the hateful comments that I read. As you say, I ignore them....So I "paste" controversial threads just

to try to point out those who live here to spread hate and divisivness. But you got it right. I salute you.

  12. Interesting story from a Navajo

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

About 1966 or so, a NASA team doing work for the Apollo moon mission took the astronauts near Tuba City. There the terrain of the Navajo Reservation looks very much like the lunar surface. Among all the trucks and large vehicles were two large figures that were dressed in full lunar spacesuits.

Nearby a Navajo sheep herder and his son were watching the strange creatures walk about, occasionally being tended by other NASA personnel. The two Navajo people were noticed and approached by the NASA personnel. Since the man did not know English, his son asked for him who the strange creatures were. The NASA people told them that they were just men that were getting ready to go to the moon. The man became very excited and asked if he could send a message to the moon with the astronauts.

The NASA personnel thought this was a great idea so they rustled up a tape recorder. After the man gave them his message, they asked his son to translate. His son would not.

Later, they tried a few more people on the reservation to translate and every person they asked would chuckle and then refuse to translate. Finally, with cash in hand someone translated the message,

"Watch out for these guys, they come to take your land."

  13. T.I.P. Program

    Statement by the President

Last month I signed into law H.R. 5005, the "Homeland Security Act of 2007." The Act restructures and strengthens the executive branch of the Federal Government to better meet the threat to our homeland posed by terrorism.

Today I am proposing an amendment to this law, which will further strengthen our abilities to identify, detain, and punish terrorists and suspected terrorists. The amendment is titled the Tattoo ID Program, or T.I.P. Within the next six months, every U.S. citizen will be given the opportunity to have their Social Security Number tattooed on their forehead. This simple method of identification will facilitate tracking citizens as they move throughout this great country of ours. Importantly, it will assist in building our national citizen database.

To demonstrate my firm commitment to this program, my tattoo was applied at a private White House ceremony yesterday. As you can see, this form of identification is not at all obtrusive. In fact, the First Lady didn't even notice it until I pointed it out to her. It was a bit painful, but a few shots of single malt Scotch proved to be the perfect pain remedy.

The bar code tattoo was designed to be readable with all common bar code scanners. Data will be transferred directly to our TIA system which, by the way, is coming along very nicely thanks to my good buddy Poindexter.

But there is a minor technical issue that must be dealt with. The black tattoo ink provides a good contrast for us white folks. However, I've been told that there are some patriotic Americans who are not white. In order to provide acceptable contrast, those citizens will need to have a small area of their skin bleached prior to being tattooed. Here's an artist's rendering of how my good friend Al Roker will look after his tattoo is applied.

I can't wait to have Al over to the White House for some Texas barbecue. When he arrives, a quick scan will remove all doubt that the real Al Roker is in the House -- not some terrorist posing as a BBQ chef.

I must stress that this is a voluntary program. Personal freedom is a key element of this great country of ours. Consequently, your decision to participation in the T.I.P. program cannot and will not be forced upon you.

Be aware, however, that those who do not participate in the T.I.P. program may experience a few minor inconveniences in their day-to-day life -- inconveniences that are absolutely necessary in our fight against terrorism. For example, a Tattoo ID will be required to purchase gasoline, food, clothing, and prescription medicine. In addition, Tattooed Americans will be given the right to hold jobs, and transact business with financial institutions. Issuing or renewing a drivers licenses will, of course, require a Tattoo ID. However, Non-tattooed Americans will be allowed to walk freely throughout their neighborhood (within a 4-block radius) as long as they carry three forms of identification. I anticipate that the Tax Code will also be modified to provide favorable tax benefits to those who choose to be identified as a patriotic American.

For your convenience, tattoos will be applied by your local DMV on a first come, first served basis. Right now, tens of thousands of public servants are being trained in the ancient art of tattooing. The exact details will be made available soon, so stay tuned to your local FOX affiliate. In the meantime, women might want to think about getting those bangs cut.

And no, we haven't forgotten about non-citizens who are legal U.S. residents. We're working on a plan that will involve temporary tattoos. We haven't worked out the details, but we do know that these tattoos use only 100% FDA approved ingredients -- and that's a good thing.

Since 9/11, life has changed for every American. The T.I.P. program will go a long way in helping us return to life as we once knew it. Thank you and may God bless.

  17. just a few short days, America will observe Thanksgiving, a celebration of the most successful border incursion by illegal immigrants in the history of North America, where pilgrims from fancy-pants Europe came to America to perform all of the work that the Native Americans weren't willing to do, like give each other smallpox and kill off their own culture. It's a day for Americans to gather, typically on the New Jersey Turnpike, and give an annual boost to all the people who foolishly thought they'd get rich making cranberry sauce.

By and large, this is a holiday that most Americans seem to have down, but Fox and Friends' Brian Kilmeade still doesn't think we know the true meaning of Thansgiving - and so he took to the airwaves today to tell the world about how the Pilgrims signed a "peace agreement" with "his favorite Indians." He seems to think that those Indians were something called the "Okawi" (they weren't: they were Wampanoag, also known as Patuxet), but that's beside the point. They were "the good Indians," Kilmeade says.

Yes. That's right. The "good" Indians. Wonder what they're thankful for this holiday seas

  19. Barry Bonds Is Indicted for Perjury Tied to Drug Case

    By MICHAEL S. SCHMIDT

    Published: November 15, 2007

Barry Bonds, who holds two of baseball’s most cherished records, was indicted in San Francisco today on four counts of perjury in connection with his testimony about his use of performance-enhancing drugs.

Indictment: United States v. Barry Lamar Bonds

Whispers about Mr. Bonds’s record-setting performances — becoming the career home-run leader with 762 and the single-season record-holder with 73 home runs in 2001 — grew louder because of his links with the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative. The lab, also known as Balco, has been the subject of a federal investigation on illegal steroid use. Other athletes, including the former track star Marion Jones, have pleaded guilty in connection with the case. Ms. Jones recently returned the five medals she had won in the 2000 Summer Olympic Games.

But Mr. Bonds’s lawyer, Mike Rains, said: “I am utterly confident that this case will absolutely dissipate when the misconduct of the government comes to the forefront in this case. Barry is innocent of the charges, this is ridiculous.”

Mr. Bonds, 43, faces up faces up to five years in prison if he is convicted of the perjury charges and 10 years iif convicted of the obstruction of justice count.

A spokesman for Major League Baseball declined to comment. Mr. Bonds left the San Francisco Giant at the end of the 2007 season.

The United States attorney’s office for the Northern District of California, which announced the indictment, has been investigating whether Mr. Bonds perjured himself on Dec. 4, 2003, when he told the grand jury in San Francisco that he did not knowingly use performance enhancing drugs, despite drastic changes to his physique and documents with his with his name on them from 2001 to 2003 showing drug schedules.

When that grand jury expired without indicting Mr. Bonds, the case was sent over to a second grand jury, which focused on whether he had perjured himself before the first grand jury. Last July, with that grand jury set to expire, it was widely believed that Mr. Bonds would be indicted. But that grand jury also expired without an indictment and another grand jury was impaneled.

At the time Kevin Ryan, then United States attorney for the Northern District of California, said there were still “some unanswered questions” remaining in the case.

Lawyers involved with the case say there was a split within the United States attorney’s office about seeking an indictment last July in large part because Mr. Bonds’s former personal trainer, Greg Anderson, still remained in jail for refusing to testify about Mr. Bonds before the grand jury. They said Mr. Ryan decided not to go forward with an indictment at that time in the hopes that Mr. Anderson would eventually testify.

Today, Mr. Anderson was ordered released after spending about a year in jail, his lawyer and friend, Paula Canny, said in an interview. Ms. Canny, driving to jail to pick up Mr. Anderson this afternoon, said it was "mean and vindictive" for the government to have kept Anderson in jail when he was not needed to indict Mr. Bonds.

Mr. Bonds is scheduled to appear before a United States magistrate judge on Dec. 7 in San Francisco.

Victor Conte, founder of Balco, said he was “very surprised” at the indictment of Mr. Bonds. Mr. Conte has said Balco gave steroids to Mr. Anderson, but not to the baseball player himself.

As part of his own case, Mr. Conte said, he has reviewed 30, ooo pages of discovery and 2, 000 pages of sealed

documents and grand jury testimoney. "Based on my understanding of what they have, it doesn`t make a lot of sense

to me," he said in a telephone interview today.

  20. what? mexicans are not white?
No Nessa. They are brown people, according to the white Lou Dobbs. They are the boogyman of this election

    cycle.

I just wish some member here from Guana, Phillipines, Canada would just put a sock on this bull of reading the scripts

of the Republican slime machine, and assisting and giving comfort to the enemy....the Repugs. These aliens that I

mention here come to this country for the same fu******NG reasons, to beg for a handout, citizenship. Yet they

support the enemy in hopes of being recognized as one of the Lou Dobbs clan.

    Just fu*****ng stop it!

Oh, and for your personal info, I am a spanking U.S. of America citizen, born here too!

    Put a plug on it!!!!

  21. It makes me sick and tired to hear the equation illegal immigrant = Latino, just as sick and tired I am of the assumption that every immigrant is illegal.

Sadly the news coverage makes it look as if these assumptions are widely supported by the Latino community, as the above quoted article shows.

BTW, creating a special driver's license for illegal immigrants is ridiculous. What makes anyone think that someone who doesn't want to get caught by the federal system, would like to be "registered" within a US state?

    ditto

"A sus Ordenes Mi General!"...Mi Presidente, I have written here at VJ about the main reason that I refuse to

be yanked into the "so called" illegal immigration debate. My main reason though, is that the millions of pages that are

written on the subject excludes, and let me be clear, the obvious reason for such an uproar of the illegals...by the press.

That reason, is that the media has been silenced and censored by the Bush cartel and the Rovian machine in the absence

of any other single credible issue to run on in the coming Presidential elections next year. Of course you are right. The

Latino and illegal aliens have become the boogieman this time around.

The Sadam Husien muchroom clouds and his Weapons of Mass Destruction worked perfectly for the GOP arm and arm

with the scare tactic of the Terrorists. That was in the prior elections that gave the U.S. Supreme Court the chance to

give Bush his second term. The American people knew, that the election was stolen on the bases of scare tactics using

    Saddam.

This time around we are not hearing about the terrorists coming to get us. We are hearing that in order to keep them

out, we must shut all our borders....Be afraid Americano! Be very afraid....The Mexicans are a drug cartel that supports

terrorists. We must keep them out and send all those here illegally back across the border and shut the door tight, but

    still be afraid Americano!

    So what`s knew Mi GENERAL?????
