No, the total wait them is from the receipt date on your i601A. Unfortunately, from the other support group that im with, the current wait time for Nebraska is around 22-26 months, and Potomac is way longer which is around 33-36 months. Plus if you're from Mexico, from the time you get your case closed with NVC is 2 years of waiting to get an interview at the embassy

I haven't any interview waivers for i-601A. All of the people who got approved on the Fb support group had to go to their home country and take the interview. The current date of approval for Nebraska is around 22-26 months, meanwhile in Potomac is 32-36 months they're reviewing May 2019 receipts.
This is new and is start now in 2022 all lawyers it’s saying they gonna waive the interview because of the backlogs from 2020 and i think this will help some 601a cases

Hi everyone I’m hearing about the waiver on interviews over seas or inside the Us anyone know if this is applicable for the 601A too?
I hope this is for us too 🤞🏼

Thanks! I know it's just the beginning but atleast this is done. I'm expecting 2-3 years before I get an approval. Let me know when you get your biometrics appointment because I'm really curious how's the processing is after the 2020 covid lockdown and all that stuff
I already did my biometrics on August was very fast I didn’t spend more than a 20 min on total inside

Oh sorry to hear about that, it sucks that we entrusted and pay so much money for these attorney and they don't seem to care.. But at least now it's already there and submitted so I'm happy for you. I really hope and pray that it's only 1 year and a half because that's what most people say in the other posts but the thing is they filed from 2018 and 2019. I never heard anyone from at least 2020 and 2021 that's why it's making me sad that we might have to wait for the maximum time of 3 years and that seems so loooong! 😭
It’s okay now my new lawyer said I’ll be about 1.6 to get approval so let’s hope that’s right !!!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I know it's still a long way to go since according to the USCIS time frames it's about 27.5 months to 36 months 😥...I'm really curious how the 2019 and 2020 filers are doing, and if any of them got approved yet?! But I guess we'll have to wait for a very long time.. Please update me if you get your approval verrry soon!
Yes I start my process in 2019 I get my I130 approved on Jan 2020 i had a bad lawyer how did the wrong tipe of waiver the (601)so I I get denied and had to cancel my interview on my consulate because I just hat started the new waiver the (601A)it’s been so stressful but now the only thing it’s wait I don’t know if ill get approve this year I don’t think so but let see how it’s goes if anything change I post it .

Hi guys! I'm new here. I just wanted to share my experience and hoping to hear from others who's going through a similar process with me. We hired an attorney for I-130 ( I'm a spouse of a US citizen) and i601-A Provisional Unlawful Presence and here's my timeline so far:
1) Submitted the I-130 on May 26,2021
2) Received receipt on June 10,2021
3) Approval received on July 11,2021, only 31 days after the receipt notice! Service center was Nebraska office and during the application the time frame for approval was 3-7 months so we just got super lucky that it got approved so fast, and we did not request expedited service.
SECOND PART IS THE WAIVER:
1) Submitted the I-601A Waiver on October 6,2021
2) Receipt date October 11,2021, Field office is at Potomac Service Center (estimated approval time is about 29 to 36 months) ------(UPDATES TO FOLLOW)-------
PLEASE if you're a 2018,2019,2020 I-601a filer, I would like to ask if you could share your experiences too like when did you submit the i-601a waiver, biometric appt, and how long it took to get your i-601a approval. It's very stressful and very uncertain and I wish it won't take years for me but I know we all need to wait in line and trust the process but if you guys could share some insight I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks so much!!
Hi I’m on same process send my 601a in may 30th and the receive date is June 7th did my biometric on august 27th
Until now nothing more just waiting.

Hello everyone,
My dad just got approved about 2 weeks ago. Have a lawyer and gathering what is needed after. My dad was telling me that the lawyer is telling him that there is a chance that he might get denied once he goes for the consular processing in Mexico for having brought me over as a child. Just hoping to get some info on that if anyone has heard of that happening and what can be done if that happens? Yes, I know I will probly get some replies saying to ask the lawyer, but just wanted to see if anyone has gone through this before and what their experience was like. Also, would love to get some info from people who have done the consular processing in Mexico recently and have a list of what is needed
Thanks
When your dad have file his 601a? im on

It’s because I start my process in 2019 with a lawyer and she did the wrong process for me she did the 601 instead the 601A that’s why I have a case on NVC and they schedule my interview last may but I just had start the right process on end of April so now I don’t know if Have to start a new process in NVC or use the other one they have there .
