  1. i have almost the same situation with yours. i arrived here in the U.S. on July 19,2007, got married within the 90 days but we file the AOS on May 14, 2009, it took us more than a year to file the papers then i had my interview last December 21, 2009 and i didn't get approve nor denied but my papers was depending and they ask more evidences and medical, and so i did sent back everything papers/documents that i can send to them with photo copies, and i got my welcome letter yesterday and waiting for my gc to arrive.

you will not be deported as per say, we got married legally even if are out of status though we will be idle since we can't work cause we don't have the AED, you will do fine, just file your AOS when you can though cause it's a nice feeling for us to have all documents in hand.

  2. i recieved an email from the USCIS today saying that .........

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident. On January 28, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.

i'm APPROVED! wow ... i am relieved, thanks God.

thank you elenaymateo and thanks to all the vjers and of course to this site.

  4. Hi, we're not yet in that situation, but don't worry so much I think you will be approved, just hang on sister...but just wanna ask you what are those evidences that you were lacking in your interview may I know what are the exact evidence or documents the interviewer had asked you..I just wanna know because we're waiting for our interview too for my AOS, just had my biometrics 3 weeks ago, I just wanna be prepared and bring the documents during the interview...thanks in advance for the reply:)

    had to provide this documents:

documents that shows me and my husband own assets jointly, that we have prepared for our marital future, that we share the same residence and pictures from beginning of our relationship up to the present.

i had all documents except those though i brought my wedding pictures on that day of my interview but still i had to provide what the IO was asking for them to believe. by the way, it occured when he read my pre-nup that's why he asked more evidences and also it is not in my position to put my name on the utility bills and insurances and etc. cause if my partner doesn't want or not interested to put me in everything or whatsoever. i just did all what i can and i have been married to him when i got here and up to the present in good faith nothing else.

  5. i had my AOS interview last december 21,2009, my case was pending cause of lacked of evidences (house bills, insurances and others) had to re-do my medical since i filed my AOS more than a year after i got married but i got interviewed after my second anniversary of marriage, the IO asked more requirements and my medical thingy, and i did all of them and sent all the documents the IO was asking, now waiting for the result.

i'm just kind of worried and anxious for the result.

if they are people here has a similar of my situation, i would gladly appreciate all your comments

  6. Hello..

My name is Osiris. I arrived to the US last February with a K1 visa. and I got marry during the 90 days..

But unfortunately we haven't have the chance to prepare the AOS, because some economical situations, forced us to wait.

    My question here is..

What could happened to me now?..I understand that I am not "legal" now. But I am wondering if my AOS would have any problem because I didn't respect the 90 days???....Could they deport me?....Could they deny me the AOS??...

So I will appreciate if someone could share a similar experience

    Thanks in advance

    hello there osin

you will only be out of status , you can't work or apply for a job yet, you can't go out of the country yet too.

my husband filed my papers (AOS) almost 2 years of our marriage, i never have a problem or whatsoever, they will not deport you no, they will not deny your AOS when you file just be sure that when you have your interview later on for your AOS you can prove that your marriage is legit.

  7. Ok, I'm getting kinda worried, still no request for an interview.

I know some couples got transferred and some got interviews for next month.

    Anyone still waiting like us????

    How long again???

    Shelly

you're not alone in this road, i am also waiting for mine, up to now i have not recieve any schedule for my interview, i'l just wait, i know the waiting time is so stressful,we all are eager to know when can we have our interview date.

  8. Me and my husband filed my AOS documents last May 13,2009, I have my AED already, but I still don't get my AP nor the schedule for my interview, the waiting time is killing me :crying: I keep checking my status on the USCIS site but it isn't changing, hmmm, i wonder if it will takes a long time to wait, i tried calling them but the person who answered me said that my papers is still on the process. was wondering too if they will wait for my second anniversary of marriage on Oct. 14 since we file very late, it took us a year and seven months to file (financial reason).

Is anyone here has the same situation?

    Any opinions are welcome.

    Thanks.

  9. I'm a K-1 and i got married before the 90 days expire... i haven't tried work here yet but now i got bored and i wanted to work but my AED been expired already and I'll file my AOS later on for some reasons. i know that there will be a $340 fee when you file a renewal of your AED, my concern is if a K-1 can renew the AED.
