Hello, can someone plz tell me what should we bring to the interview besides medical package and passaport. Should we bring like pictures, video casettes or any other proofs that is not mentioned on the Interview paper but we should bring it anyways?

Below is a graphic of the actual DS-230 cover sheet for your reference.

Zil is probably right, you probably don't have to change the upper barcode, everyone else normally does, from what I have heard, but it is up to you.

As for the sizing, just do the best you can, get it as close as possible to how it looks in the real coversheet below and close to how it appears in James's shortcuts.

To change the size you can normally, in Word, hover your mouse over 1 corner of the graphic and drag it in or out (I think that is what you are asking?)

If you decide to use James' shortcuts to generate your own DS-230 coversheet, you will have to change the case #, barcode and personal information to yours because the ones that are already there are just sample #s he used. The shortcuts show you how to generate your own barcode and how to paste it on the DS-230 coversheet.

The upper one is smaller. I believe that is only used when mailing the document to you. It is visible through the window of the envelope they use, so it can be scanned from outside (for sorting and tracking purposes). I think that one can be left out when you generate the cover sheet (either remove it or change it to your case number). The lower, larger bar code is more important, most likely that is the one they will scan ones they receive it from you.

I dont know if this is normal but it's been almost 2 months since Nov 12 that NVC said they sent out DS-230 and I haven't received it yet. So I called them and asked y is taking so long and they said the document returned back to them for whatever reasons so they said we sent it back on December 13, and I'm still waiting for ittt. So I guess is useless to wait more time for the document to be here. They said u can download the form DS-230 from the website and for the bacode sheet u have to wait for them.

My question is if I use Jamie's shortcut for the barcode coversheet do I use the second date(Dec 13) that they sent it out again or the first date Nov 12?

And pls anybody who knows what do you do with those barcodes the one on the top and the one on the bottom, what size should they be changed to and how do u change it? plzzzzzzzzz someone tell me or show me I would really appreciate it )

Trailmix ...the Marriage Termination Document is on the required list of my husband's country consulate...and it asks if the applicant was married previously and if that marriage was terminated ...but if in your case you didn't get married before why should we show that proof I don't get it....So does everybody has to show that no matter what right?

Also...I heard they don't work during the month of December is that true?

No ....I'm supposed to get the form DS-230 soon b/c they sent it on November 12 and I'm still waiting for it ....but is taking long time that's y i'm concerned and I can't use James shortcut cuz they want form DS-230 to be sent back to them with their own envelope (that's what I heard...I'm not sure) so I guess I have to wait ...I mean James shortcut is nice opsion but confuzing....I have no idea what size or what should the barcodes (the one on the top and on the bottom) look like..... I'm not sure if the barcode sheet is the only paper we should include with the other documents or the sent smth else?

And are the Cover Letter and Barcode Sheet the same thing or what?

NVC sent the form DS-230 on Nov 12 and I'm still waiting for them, I think they lost them or something cuz it usually takes a week for them to get here....So can I just go the link print the form myself, fill it out and sent it back to them, and for the Barcode sheet is it ok if I use James shortcut? So should I wait for them or do it myself.. but still I'm not sure to do it myself b/c they might sent smth else that i'll be missing. Any idea?

And for the forms that go with DS-230 ...like the Cover letter... what is that about? And for the Marriage Termination Documentation where do we get that and what should we show about it?

My husband is in Albania and I'm in the last step, they are reviewing my DS-230 but when I spoke to one of the operators to find out when they send the paperwork he said "they give you an interview date first then we send the documents"

Does anyone have an idea of how it goes??? How long does it usually take for an interview date???

tito then for a person to be and act like that is not worth it even worrying about it, I know u have feelings and they're stronger then u right now but after u get over this everything will be fine trust me.... and time passes by quickly if you try to concentrate on other things...and whatever we say here is not going to make u feel better I know that cuz that's how it is ...but good luck

Yes, I guess that is what I am saying.

However! I don't think that is necessarily going to be true in your case. They may not have looked at mine properly, although I attached a copy of the PR card to the DS-230, second batch, maybe they didn't see it, maybe someone wasn't on the ball that day.

I think in your case where you are sending original documents (the PR card is just a photocopy) they will be more likely to look at it, if you know what I mean.

P.S. The form you sent is probably actually the I-864 affidavit of support (instead of I-184)

I'm experiencing the same thing with form I-184 because I forgot to include some of the documents that go with I-184... I sent them one day after (which actually they'll be there before form I-184 since I sent them using express mail) .... so u're saying that they will ignore the second form u sent in my case (I-184) and concentrate only in the first documents you sent which in my case are brith certificates....this is confusing, I don't know what they do with it though

No wayyyyy....I think I screw it up now... u know what I did...on October 29 I sent form I-184 but forgot to include birth certificates and I used regular mail, and today I just sent the birth certificates (using express mail) explaining in few sentences that I forgot to include them with the form.... So the problem is that the birth certificates are going to be at National Visa Center before the form I-184 this suckss

So are u telling me that i'm screwed up for sure right?

I totally agree... There have been new developments. While i was waiting for my mom to be discharged last nite, She started calling my phone but i was upset and didnt pick up as i didnt want to get into another arguement.

She eventually sent text messages saying she was going to throw my things out of the apt. I responded that i will get the authorities involved if she did so.She further went on threatening to annul the marriage of over a year and get me deported.

I told her to do what suits her but not to throw my things out.

She had done it on one occassion where she packed up all my things and brought them to me in the office while at work.

So i knew she wasnt threatening... I decided to go home and as expected all my things were in trash bags ready to be dumped..She asked me to move out but i told her my name's on the lease of the apt and will only move when its condusive.

Her father then came to the apt and got involved.. Since i was driving a car registered in her name [even though i was paying the note on the car], he requested the car keys and when i hesitated, he tried to intimidate me by threatening to punch me.. So i gave in, and she packed some of her things and left with him... She said its over and she was going to start working at seeing me deported..

I asked them only 1 question, and i said, 'so is it cos my mom is in the hospital and i've spent the last 2 days looking after her there that youguys are doing this'?.. They said i was being manipulative by insinuating that...

Its miserable going thru this but i think i'm about to just count my losses and move on with life...

Whatever happens, i'm gonna accept my fate... but i think for my sanity and the life of loved ones... i gotta move on.

I guess u did it cuz the relationship between the two of u didn't go well or something, unless you changed your mind and wanna get back together, in that case the most important thing is for you two to work things out out rather than worry about this now... it sucks but what is done is done...you have the chance to do this process again and it will be easier for u since you already went over some stuff... be patientttt alright

This I-864A, right? There actually are three facts to prove:

1. U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residence of the household member (passport, birth certificate, permanent resident card)
2. Residence address of the household member (driver's license, utility bill, etc).
3. Relationship of household member to sponsor (sponsor's birth certificate usually)

If you sent out a document but forget to include something in one of the forms you already sent out what do you do?...

Like in my case I forgot to include my birth certificates and proof of residency... so my question is can you sent out another envelope that will include the documents that you forgot to include right after you sent the first envelope? Will it be ok with them to get 2 envelopes from me cuz I don't want to get a RFE.... and if I do that probably I won't get the RFE
