  1. We are just getting ready to submit K-1 and hear that the Embassy in Manila is very tough. is that true?

if you have all the documents that they require and will prove that your relationship is authentic, you'll be ok.

  2. you got married and applied for a visa because of ur husband right?and the reason why u'll be going here is because of him,if ur scared of what he might do to u why take the risk?why not just stay there and save urself from misery?please save urself and ur family.ur lucky that u found that out while ur still there,u still have lots of time to run from ur sick husband.

  4. My Filipina fiancee was issued an annulment decision on March 20. It is now June 1, and she still doesn't have the decree. What is the normal lag time between the decision and the decree? It is the only thing holding up my filing of the I-129F. We paid a 10,000 PHP Sheriff's fee to help expedite the process, but that hasn't seemed to help. When she questioned the lawyer on the status last week, he got annoyed.

Thanks for any info on this, Lane

After the decision has been issued, the she should go back to court after 15days or more to get the finality. The clerk of court is the one who'll issue it.You got scammed by the sheriff, you should've not paid any amount since the annulment is almost over, all you need to do is wait for the amount of time required.

  5. hello again po.,

ako ulit., ask lang po ako about sa annulment, im expecting the decision this week na, and hindi ko alam what dapat gagawing move after i have the decision na., salamat po ulit.,

    GOD BLESS US!

After the decision, wait for the court to release your finality, they will ask you to have it certified(decision and finality),then register it at the local civil registry office where your marriage took place, after a few weeks, they will issue you a certificate of registration, and together with all the documents that you have, submit it at the NSO east ave. area b together with a filled up application form for marriage cert, pay the fee at the cashier and after 10 working days, you'll get your annotated MC.

    good luck

I got the decision last friday po and advice me to go to the solgen's office to avoid delay., Is it true po that theres a possibility that the solgen might appeal and its the reason why theres a delay.,? I thought po i have to wait 15 working days after I got my decision., Im really so confuse po., Please help me., maraming salamat!

    GOD BLESS!

You dont have to go to the solgen's office. After 15 days or so,you can go back to the court and ask for your finality, the clerk of court is the one who releases it.

    good luck

  6. She can get a statement or letter from the pension plan people that states her pension income and for how long she will receive it. It's probably for the rest of her life. That would take the place of an employer letter for some evidence of her income.

She won't have w2s with her income tax (if she's not working for wages), but she will have a 1099-R that shows the pension income, so be sure you send a photocopy of that with her 2008 tax return information. Also some proof of her US citizenship like a photocopy of a birth certificate or passport bio page. (Or other legal status if she was not born in the USA.)

I appreciate all the infos that you gave Nich-Nick,that really helps. :star:

    Thank you so much.

  7. Hello,

I'm confused. I thought each passenger only allowed 25 kgs. check-in baggage but some airline are only 23. But as what I've read here they have two 23 kgs baggage, so all in all 46? Makes me confuse now. I just want to clarrify if it's ok to bring a lot of baggae as long as each baggage wont excess to their limit?? Am i right?

NO,most airlines allow only 2 bags that has kgs limitation.like what they said,it's best to call ur airline.

    have a safe trip

  9. We've already filed for a K1 petition 3months ago,we're still waiting for our NOA2.but there's a question that's now bothering me.When filling up theI129-F form,i remember i wrote "none" to the Question#7(Other name Used).Did i make a mistake?i was married before and it was my ex's last name that i used when me and my fiance started corresponding,it was also the last name the i used from our hotel receipts and money transfers.i wasnt annuled yet and the id i had was all under my ex's last name.

Will this be a ground for our petition's denial?please :help:

What service center? If the petition was filed at CSC then there is still not anything to worry about.... If they have a question they will ask for clarification.

We filed at CSC.i just hope they will just ask for some clarification and get approved at once.

    thanks

  10. I'm sorry for posting it on the wrong category,to the mods, kindly please move it where it really belong(K1).

    Thanks so much!

Before filing the K1 you both must be legally free to marry, if this is not the case and you were not divorced, this could be a problem and the reason for the delay.

Before we filed and sent it to the service center,we made sure that we're both free to marry.I am now annuled and he's divorced and we've included my annulment's decision and finality as well as his divorce decrees in the petition.so does this mean we're good even if i wrote none on the said question?

    thanks for the reply :)

  12. Have any of you been able to figure out how to print Yahoo Messenger's archived messages?

I've been trying to print the messages out without much success. Everytime I try to print a message its only printing out one page. It doent print out the entire conversations.

Thanks. Any help would be much appreciated.

You can copy and paste it to MS Word, that way you'll be able to print all the messages and you can edit it too if you like :)

  13. Ive called probably at least 5 to 7 times with the same pin. As far as I know it doesnt expire but im not sure. They do talk really slow there and phenitically spell everything which can get old. I do think it is a good service though at least from my experience. This is the only part of this whole k1 process where the operators can give reall answers to your questions unlike the USCIS operators.

it's nice that you were the one who called coz it's cheaper than calling from here.yes,USEM operators were trained to talk slowly to make you stay longer and accumulate more minutes :P

    good luck on your journey.

  14. What USEM/USCIS/NVC will accept is NSO copy of documents (Birth certificate. marriage certificate, etc.). If his name on the BC is correct, then there's nothing to worry about with regards to his father's name since his father is already deceased.

If any documents have problems with spelling (applicant's), the usual process is:

    1. To apply for a "Correction of Entry" and this only cost P1,500.00 that includes the forms, the publication for 3 weeks. And the applicant need to present supporting documents where they (LCR) will follow the "right name" (like baptismal certificate, others). This usually takes about a month.
    2. Then after that, the LCR/Registrar will give the applicant a "new copy" of his/her "corrected" document.
    3. The applicant then will have to request for an "Endorsement Letter" from the Registrar addressed to NSO. The applicant will be paying for this (courier: LBC) and he/she will receive a copy of the endorsement letter together with the corrected document.
    4. Once he/she received the endorsement letter, he/she needs to go to NSO in Quezon City (not the Main NSO but at Vibal Building cor. EDSA). Present the endorsement letter and he/she will be asked to proceed either to the 2nd/3rd floor to verify if NSO have indeed received the copy from the LCR.
    5. If they already have the copy, then he/she can apply for the "unconverted copy" (use to be php60.00/copy) of the "Annotated Document" (Corrected document). While there, make sure to apply for at least 3 copies as "Annotated Documents" will not be available in any of NSO's Serbilis Stations (not even the Main NSO Office in QC). Annotated documents are only available at NSO-Vibal Building and this usually gets into their system (electronic) after about "5years" (According to Ms. Hufana, who is the Asst. Director of NSO for Region 3).
I went through all this process, so does my Mom and my brother-in-law. My Father's Middle Name was typed as "A" rather than "E" but I did not bother to correct it anymore since my father is already deceased and besides I cannot present other supporting documents since records from his LCR was destroyed due to a fire years ago. I hope this info helps.

this is somewhat correct except that he/she will submit the finality to the NSO East Ave Area B and not at Vibal blg anymore.

for more clarification regarding change of name or correction of errors, you might want to check this RA9048. hope this helps.
