Thank you artcodex. Appreciate it!

Hello All,
I'm trying to navigate through the NVC stage. I went to the NVC website trying to determine what I need to submit. Following their instruction, I found the country. Then I looked for CR-1 under the visa classifications but could not find it. There is C1 visa. What did I do wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot, pushbrk!

Excellent. Thank you all for your kind help!
Anyone knows the answer to my second question? 2) Part 5, information for another alien of a previous petition, "provide the name, place, date of filing..." 3.a. "City or Town" and 3.b. "State." What "place" does it refer to? Once again, thanks in advance.

Ryan, on which line do I write "deceased?" So I leave the whole section blank, not provide their names, etc.?
Do you know the answer to my second question?
Thank you very much!

Thanks a lot for your kind reply. I did not make the second question clear. 10 years ago, I petitioned for another alien. I am providing the information about that first petition on I-130. I am the petitioner at both times.

Hi, I'm starting to fill out I-130 form. I have two questions and hope someone could help. 1) In part 2, information about petitioner's parents, both of my parents passed away. Do I leave this section blank? If not, what do I put in the boxes for city and country of residence? 2) Part 5, information for the beneficiary of a previous petition, "provide the name, place, date of filing..." 3.a. "City or Town" and 3.b. "State." Do they ask for at which USCIS center the petition was filed or my residence in the U.S. when I filed the petition? Thanks in advance!

I am the GC holder, my husband (obviously the USC)has children from previous marriages and we did not list any of his children. Accdg to a reply to my post for the same question, you only list children who are also going through the ROC. Hope this helps.
Thanks for both replies. It seems people really have different understandings about this one.

I'm in the process of filling out the I-751 form. On page 2, Part 5, there is the instruction "Information about your children-list all your children" My question is, whose children should I include? Both my wife and I have children from our previous marriages. She is the one who applies to remove the green card conditions. Thanks.
Bummer...

My wife received her AP and is planning to visit her family and take care of some business in China this summer. We are wondering what limitations we need to be aware of for her trip. She wants to stay there for 3 to 4 months. Is it too long? Are there rules concerning how long one can be away from US on AP while waiting for adjustment of status to be approved? Is there anything else we need to know about AP so that she can reenter US without risking a denial?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

We are waiting for adjusting status from K-1. We received approval for advanced parole. We want to use it mainly for my wife to go back to China this summer. Meanwhile, is it possible for us to use it to go on a cruise to Bahama? The approval is good for multiple entries.

I read conflicting messages on this issue. Some say I-864 has to be notarized and some say it does not. The official instructions for I-864 does not mention it. Who should I listen to?

My spouse entered US on a K-1 visa. I read on this forum that her visa page should have her A# on it, but there is no such a thing there. Is it a problem?
Thanks,
A# = Alien Registration number may not be assigned in time to appear on the first NOA (NOA1) but will definitely be there on the approval notice (NOA2) - as stated, it will appear under/above the beneficiary's name.
Thanks everybody. I looked for about a hundred times on the K-1 visa page but could not find it. However, I found it on NOA2. This forum is really great.

Mox, you truly are a good and considerate man and your SO is lucky to have you. She will be happy when you break the news to her!
Thanks!
Just got the email from CRIS, so it's completely official now and not just the word of some anonymous person on the phone. Yay!
Congratulations Mox! Good luck with the rest of the journey!

I'm filling out the I-134 form and need help with the section "Name of spouse and chidren accompnying or following to join person." My fiancee's son has no plan to follow his mother to US at this time, but he may decide to join her within a year after she gets her K-1 visa. Should I put his name down on I-134 form now. If I don't, is he still eligible if he wants to follow to join his mother within a year she gets her visa?

My fiancee's son is 18. He is not planning to apply for a visa just yet. Will he still be eligible for immigration in a year after my fiancee enters US? In I-134, in the section "Name of spouse and chidren accompnying or following to join person," should I put his name down now in case he changes his mind later? If I don't, will he still be eligible later on?

Another approval! I received an email notice tonight. Super Monday for September filers.
Congratulations to those approved, and good luck to September fellows who are waiting to be approved. Your turn is coming soon.
Congratulations wind! What service center did you file through? Any chance you'd be willing to update your timeline? (instructions in my sig)
Super Monday for September filers indeed! It's been a long time coming.
Thanks. I applied through CSC. I've just updated my timeline. I hope it worked.

I'd say if I don't get one right after Thanksgiving then i'm definately in the "lost" category
My heart goes out to you and other September filers who have not received NOA1 yet. I know sick it can make you feel. I don't think they'll lose your petition. I have not heard anybody's package has been lost. It's just that they don't file our petitions in any logical way. It's frustrating, but hang in there. your turn should come soon. I believe that you will finish filing all September filers soon.
-
Finally check was cashed. It's been 70 days. I must be the last September filer who has not received NOA1.
-
Congratulations to those who've got NOA1. You gave me hope. No news for me yet. I gave up on trying to figure out a system by which they do things. Those September filers who have received NOA1 so far, their dates of filing I-129 have been all over the map. CSC are not opening packages by the order of their arrival. My only hope is that they honor the date they received our petition.
-
That's good news! Two September filers now. Is it possible that finally it is our turn? Keep fingers crossed.
Still trying to figure out a system. First October filers, now September, but started with two files received on 28th. Seems they are opening packages backward?
Does the location where white books are done matter?

Hi,
We did my wife's notarized white books of divorce/marriage in a province different from where she had them in China. I read somewhere that it could be a ground for conditional approval at interview. Does anyone have information on this matter?
Thank you in advance.
