Hi everyone.
Are there many May filers who have NOT being transferred to CA and who DON'T have an interview date yet?
Just wondering what's up with my file, received EAD & AP on time, but no updates since then, no RFE's, no interview...
Hope I'm not alone in that, as I've seen lots of May filers already receiving their green card and many others at least having their interview scheduled...
Ben
You're not alone. I'm on the same boat also. Haven't heard anything since my biometrics. No updates at all. :-(

Wow, that sounds very quick... congratulations to you!!! At least, you're free from worries related to USCIS for now... I'm happy for you guys... Hope USCIS will shower us some blessings too...:-)
I'm tired of worrying about my case... I guess I'll just focus on looking for a better job... I don't like the job I'm doing for now...:-(

Hi there guys,
I'm calling those who are from North Carolina and belong to Charlotte/Raleigh local office. Can we please exchange details or info about the AOS progress? I have filed my AOS last May and had my biometrics last June. I have observed that those who filed after me either have their GC already or have received their interview appointment. I'm wondering if my papers are lost, something went wrong with my case, or the Charlotte/Raleigh local office is just "way too slow"... I have already received my AP and EAD but haven't received any feedback about my AOS. Based on my NOA, my case was received at MSC/NBC and was never transferred.
Anybody experiencing the same progress (if I can call it progress) with mine? Is this normal with the Charlotte/Raleigh local office?
Thanks!

As far as I know, your status here in the US is still legal. You married within the 90 days period so no worries on that... Even though the K1 visa has expired, the legality of your stay is still valid. If you can ask your wife to sign for the affidavit of support then good... just be prepared on how to gather proof for the interview about your marriage since the two of are no longer together...

Our AOS case got an RFE a while ago, and afterwards, it was transferred to CSC... it hasn't been touched since 8/22... what is going on?!
We're on the same boat about "the waiting" stage... it's just so frustrating. Got no update and no interview appointment for my AOS. Those who filed after me already have their appointment... my AOS has not been touched since biometrics...:-(

I'm one of those in a long wait... haven't received any feedback yet about my AOS. A lot of May filers having identical timeline with mine already got their appointment letter for the interview and some got the approval already... It's so frustrating to know nothing of what's going on with my case...
I'm wondering, can I make inquiries at USCIS at this stage now? I mean, would they entertain my inquiry? It's more than three months already... I'm wondering if I can call them and ask about the progress of my case...
-
No news for me... it's such a long wait...

Congrats to the GC's.......filed mine on the 30th of April and was received May 3rd. Received EAD July 14 and still no news for AOS...Does it mean we might be having an interview?
There's a big possibility for that. I am a May filer and has no feedback about my AOS too. Last month I was hoping my case will be transferred to CSC, but after 3 months, I think I'll just have to start preparing for the interview.

Hi there, just want to get this topic on the go again coz I'm having the same dilemma...:-(Me and my husband are gathering the requirements for our church wedding in the Philippines by next year. I have contacted the church in Cebu where we want to get married, but I was asked to contact the Chancery office first. Mix marriages, like for example marrying a foreigner have different requirements. One of the difficult one is the Declaration of Nullity of the previous marriage (since my hubby was a divorcee). At first I was thinking it would just be easy coz we are already married and no need to go through the 11 day wait period for the marriage contract in the Philippines, we'll just provide our marriage certificate here in the US. Oh well, we contacted the Matrimonial Tribunal here in our area, and we were so shock coz we were told that it would take from 12-14 months waiting period to get the Declaration of Nullity of hubby's first marriage. As in, we're shock coz we're planning on getting married in the Philippines on April 2009 and that's just 8 months away. We need to submit the requirements to the Chancery office in Cebu so we can make the reservation of the church. It's so frustrating... I guess, being married already has the disadvantage... coz if we haven't get married yet, hubby can still ask for the Legal Capacity to marry at USEM, and therefore skipping the Matrimonial Tribunal. :-(
I don't know, I'll try to contact the Chancery Office in Cebu again on what we need to do. We might try to talk to the parish priest in our area if we can have a sort of recommendation letter, as substitute for the Declaration of Nullity. It's frustrating... we just want to have a church wedding in the presence of our family and friends as witnesses. The paper work sometimes is just too much... It's just non-stop... government paper works, and then church requirements... I can't decide which is more difficult...

Here's some good news...i got my approval notice last July 23 without interview and recieved my greencard in the mail last July 27.
Thank God.
Hi there Jeaay, congrats on the approval. I'm a little confuse coz I noticed that your cased was never transferred to California Service Center, and yet you got approved without the interview. What i usually encountered here in VJ are only cases which were transferred to CSC got an approval without the interview. Did you ever received a transfer notice before your case was approved?
Congrats again!!!
She was transferred, she just never put it into her timeline.
Ahh, ok... i was wondering...:-)
Hi:
Did your AOS get transferred to Cali?
I don't have any update with my AOS. The last touch was during the biometrics. No transfer notice also. What I received were the approvals for my AP and EAD.
Hmm how late do they do transfers? Aside from EADs it's been pretty slow for May filers.
I haven't had a touch on my application since the day after the NOA date.
Hmm, as far as I have noticed with most of the transfers... cases are usually transferred less than two months from the day the case is submitted. For May filers, it has been almost three months already. I noticed some from May filers were already transferred... and I'm thinking that since my AOS is still at NBC, the probabilty of it being transferred is getting slim since it's more than two months already...
now...

Hi there WaltnRafi... I didn't really think about that. I just believe that it is appropriate coz I've already changed my family name. When we applied for AOS, that was the time I changed my signature, to reflect my husband's family name, which is my new last name.

Today CRIS just sent me another e-mail for EAD card production ordered. I already got one on 24th Jul and another one for today...I think I have too many EAD now. They really want me to work here. Thanks!! hahaha
Congrats!! Ive noticed that the 2nd time they send you the EAD notice in your email, is when USCIS officially sends out the card. For this date, count 2 to 3 business days and you should get your EAD Card.
Hi..Me again
Today I got both my EAD card and interview appt. mail. But my online portfolio AOS is not updated yet... still the same date since biometrics and pending now. But I already got the interview letter. It will be on Sep 03 at 2 p.m.
Gosh, that's fast... your case was not transferred and we filed few days ahead of you guys. Guess, I'll be expecting our interview appointment soon. And that means I need to prepare our evidence now. I was hoping our case will be transferred and be approved without the interview since I got here on K1. But I guess, there's a big possiblity for an interview. Keeping my fingers crossed. :-)

Same case with Heliosphan... I got NO touches on my case since biometrics, but then I got my EAD card just two days ago and my AP was approved last week. Don't worry too much about touches... You'll probably get your EAD card in less than two months from biometrics.

Hello everyone!
I am so happy today i got notice from CRIS that my green card has been ordered! Praise the lord indeed!
I have not heard of my EAD and my AP yet though...
My timeline:
May 10 - church wedding
May 21 - filed EAD,AP and AOS
May 23- receipt date of USCIS
June 25- Biometrics
July 1 - AOS transferred to CSC
July 28- AOs card ordered .......Hallelujah!!!!!
Wow that was crazy fast! Congratulations!!!
I have more good news, when it rains it pours. I got my EAD approval email this morning. Tonight I checked the mailbox and my EAD was in the mail.
Same here Heliosphan. I noticed my approval status on CRIS site yesterday afternoon. I was thinking I'll receive the card this weekend or within the week, but as I read your post this morning, I remember we forgot to check the mail box yesterday... So I ran outside to check our mail box, and golly, my EAD card is in the mail... almost like magic, heheh...:-) I'm happy! :-)

Hello everyone! Some good news for us - we received a biometrics appointment letter last Saturday - I think what triggered it was that I called 2 weeks ago and made them do an inquiry for our case.. So hopefully things will finally start moving after August 12th
Good news!!! And good luck with the process... The waiting is really frustrating...:-( I just received a call for a job offer awhile ago. They're interested in considering me for the position but the problem is my EAD...:-( so frustrating...:-( No news for it yet!!! :-(
-
I got my AP in the mail last Saturday, but haven't got any news with my EAD or AOS, and no "touches" in USCIS site either.:-( Guess, I'll just have to wait and wait...

I know someone who does the same work as you do... the term I can use to this is "call-in employment"... that's just my term, I don't know the exact term for it. But anyway, this person I know cares for adults, not mentally retarted, but adult who can't take care of themselves because of old age. She would sometimes stay in the house for days in a particular week and then she would have another employer which she would just work for a day or two. She gets her income from more than one employer. And yes, you need to file income tax for USCIS to consider your income. You mentioned agencies, you can asked W2's from these agencies and then file your federal ITR.

It's been a while since I've checked VJ and I guess I haven't posted my interview sched. I got busy preparing the papers for my interview this coming Tuesday (Jan. 13). I'm tense and a little worried that I have overlooked on a needed document. My husband told me not to worry too much but still I can't help it. Oh well, as i can see her on VJ, those who had their inteview pretty much had a smooth sailing process. I'm hoping mine would be that way too. (Lord, please). :-)
