Thank you! The AOS and supporting docs/financial documents that we uploaded in CEAC was like 2020, do we need to upload the latest financial documents in ceac?

Yes you’ll want most up to date financial information. Also make sure the NBI is current.

  2. Hello. We just went through the interview Mid-July. We had sent a certified copy of our marriage certificate ahead of time to his mama just incase and it was requested of us to upload since I am a co-sponsor via CEAC. They only asked her for her original birth certificate. What we also did, was send copies of all of the financial documents in sealed envelopes to her and told her not to open unless they asked for it. They never did. She will bring them back to us. We didnt wan’t to share either.

  3. Thank you so much for your response! Very helpful.

Our status has said ready for three days now on the tracking site. I did go ahead and register on the CGI site but it just says no appointments available each time I check. I have also sent an email asking for help prior to posting here.

In regards to the medical, I have read conflicting information saying that you have to have an interview letter to get an appointment. I have also seen that you dont have to and they will accept the DS 260. Do you have clarification on which one it is? We would most definitely like to get the medical part finished and willing to do it twice if need be (due to expiration). It would feel better to be done with it. She was able to get the Covid vaccine a while back so that part is done.

I was on the FB group but most of it is Tagalog which I can’t speak so it was ultimately  not helpful. I had to keep asking my husband to translate :)

  4. Greetings. Our case (my mother-in-law) was approved for expedite (via our Senators request) and NVC has sent it to Manila. I have questions…

1-Do we need to book an appointment somewhere or do they reach out to us?

2-Does anyone know the approximate time it is taking to get said interview at this point?

We are trying to make sure everything is in order since its been years now in the making. Pending an appointment,

1-will the next thing be making an appointment for the medical bit?

2-Do we schedule that now or after we get the appointment?

In regards to the CFO part, after medical and after the interview (with approval),

1-is it just a matter of registering and printing off a certificate? It’s for a senior.

Is there anything else we need to know? I feel like this has been the most terrible process and every single step has been very unclear. I appreciate any assistance.

  5. I’ll dig it up tomorrow. I printed it from an announcement here. I tried to find it on their website and couldn’t. It was massively confusing. Regardless, it’s a requirement for entry to the US.

  6. Greetings. We are waiting for an interview for  an IR5 (mother of US Citizen) in Manila. She is 64yo. Does she need this CFO sticker that I have seen around? What is the PDOS? What is the process and is this something she can do while she is waiting? Im trying to get all these things sorted so we know what happens and when and also how much so the money can be set aside. It has been clear as Mud…. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

  7. Another Question: Is the 485 something we need to do for a Greencard? We were not advised about this and I have been reading about it today. I thought that it is automatically included with the I130. Please educate me. Thank you.

  8. Thank you for your replies! So, as I was asking and didn’t convey clearly, what happens next? Are we in a line? Do I need to do anything more or will we get some sort of notification? All I’m aware of is once we get an interview we schedule the medical? Anything else?

  9. Hi there. My husband and I have filed for his mother to come from Philippines (I5). Covid has really rocked this process. We filed I-130 11/2019, got excited when it was approved 5/18/21. Four days later we were notified by NVC that they had the case and we could log on and start that process. We were DQ’d on 7/1/2021. Now what happens? We got an email saying it would be forwarded to Manila. How long is this part of the process taking these days? Any other information would be great about what to expect next. We really want this to get moving for a multitude of reasons.
