  1. Hi all,

I tried to search the forum but it seems to be down. My only question is this. My fiancee lives in Mexico City, here children are 17 and 18 yrs old and are not coming to the US. She wants to know if she is allowed to leave the country to visit them, just a short visit and then come back to the US. She heard from somone that you could not travel for a certain amount of time.

Could someone more knowledgeable than me clear this up?

    Thank you in advance

    Greg

  2. Hi Dakota and thank you for the reply; on page 3 of the I-29f they ask if you have ever been convicted in a court of any crime involving drugs/ alcohol three or more times, that is my concern

Oh okay I got younow. Is there any way you can get into your "criminal records"?, I dont know how they work in the US but my guess is that it was back in the 70ies and might not even still be in your records.

I would just find out and if something is still in there,I am sure you will find the exact dates in there.

Hi again and thanks for taking the time to help me out. The I-29f page in question specifiacally states that even if the offenses are no longer on your record or the records are sealed. I don't know what court to inquire at. I guess I'll just have to estimate and hope for the best

    Thanks again

  3. Hi All,

I met my Fiancee about a year ago on eHarmony. She lives in Mexico City and I have traveled there 3 times to meet her and her family. She has been to the US twice to visit me. My question is in the details: do I use staples to hold all the papers together? paper clips? what sort of envelope do I send it in? Also: I was arrested 3 times back in the 70's for drunk driving. I have no idea what the exact dates were or what court I went to. I was an alcoholic back then. Do I just estimate the dates?

Any help will be greatly appreciated as we cannot afford a Visa Attorney to do this for us

    Thanks in advance

Some people use binders etc to hold the papers together,we had them "loose". You can also check the guides here on VJ which are very helpful indeed.

As I read above I am guessing you are the petitioner so why would you want to give out info on your past?

Your fiance will need the police records and the medical exam not you as the petitioner.
