I've submitted my RFE info and everyday I have a touch on my account, but nothing has happened yet. Seeing my account touched everday is driving me crazy! Do I get excited?? Do I get scared because they might find something else wrong?? Will it take 30 + days for my approved petiton to reach NVC??? This rollercoaster of emotions is NOT healthy!

The RFE has put me somewhere is the range of 14-20 behind schedule. (if I get the NOA-2 in the next 6 days) I should have been approved already!

My NOA1 was dated 6/20. Honestly, when do you think I will hear something?

But what date did it arrive at VSC? Its supposed to be processed according to that date, so hopefully very soon! They really need to get moving!!

Mine is dated 5/31 but was received at VSC as of 5/25. I really hope I am next...

I really don't understand how this system (USCIS) works... It's super frustrating. It appears some approvals were done within 3 months, some within 6 months but some within 1 month... I don't get it! I've decided not to call anymore because their answer is "it is still within the "6 months". I really want to see what course of action they will take if it gets passed the 6 months (not that I want mine to go past the 6 months). I can only hope for the best for every one of us. Anyway, at this point I feel as if nothing I say or do will get them to speed up the process... so I continue to wait...

APPROVED!!!!! The young lady who place me on hold came back to tell me she would transfer me to an officer. I spoke to the officer who ASKED for my case # and put me on hold again. She came back to verify my address and tell me I should be receiving something in the mail... I was approved on Oct. 15th. I told her I rec'd no email she said they were really busy. That must have been the reason for the touch on Oct. 16!!!

MIRLA YOU MUST CALL AND IT SEEMS THE INSTRUCTIONS I REC'D ABOUT CALLING FOR A REFERRAL WORKED BETTER THEN THE RFE... I GOT AN OFFICER ON THE LINE.

SOCH - did you call the USCIS or the VSC?

IF you want to know..email them and ask...simple as that..maybe he's miltary...maybe there is extenduating issues...maybe they did a request for expidite....maybe congressional intervention...ask...

But according to their own admission, they don't have any idea why they were so quickly approved.

So even if we email them and ask, they will probably say the same thing, right?

I agree. It appears that they just happened to get into the right adjudicator's box of files at the right time.

To put your timeline in your replies you need to edit your signature. If you go to the top of the page, under "Processing Times" there is a "My Controls" link. When you click on it you go to "Edit My Signature" on left menu.

I'm facing something similar. I can't go back to visit my fiance until maybe February and it makes me feel even more sad. I'm trying to be happy and he keeps reminding me to be faithful. I'm not being very successful I must admit. Please, Please God, make a miracle happen and send my Bassi home for Christmas.

dont worry my friend, the time flies when you keep busy! i remember when i came to the terrible realization that i wouldnt be seeing my baby for 6 1/2 months...i couldnt even fathom such a long time because prior to this current seperation we had only been seperated for a maximum of 4 months...i didnt think i could go any longer...we have just now reached the 4 month seperation mark and only 2 1/2 more to go! im getting pretty close, right?! lol dont sweat it, you'll be together soon enough, and very soon you will be together forever! how wonderful...i know that both you and i simply cannot wait =) hang in there troops

WAKE UP VSC!!!!!!!!!

i managed to get through to the VSC earlier today to ask for any updates as i have received nothing thus far... (no RFE's and case still not touched) and the women told me to just be patient... i've been patient since may 31st when i received my NOA1... little do they know how tough it is to be going through what we are going through!
