  1. Just wanted to ask a quick question. I have a friend who is a non-citizen that has been married to a USC since 2004. She is significantly younger than he is (about 20 years) Their marriage is on the rocks, so she moved out and bought a house on her own, and had him sign a post-nuptial agreement saying that he would have no stake in the property...she currently lives in her property with her boyfriend, who is also a non-usc, that is married to a USC...as long as they keep low profile, would this raise any red flags to the immigration department? (Her boyfriend already has his greencard too..)

  2. Thanks for your response- I am in NJ so now I am looking into some of the suggestions that people stated here. I have work for my husband lined up for when he comes- I had my own job ready for me also but that will be on hold now. I have a strong family system to support me- its just the financial aspect in the first couple of months that will make it tough. As far as all the comments about tax money and issues some individuals stated regarding their "tax money being sponged on by people like me" I have been paying my taxes for years- even when I was a student- whats the point of being an American if you can't have your government give you a little support when you need it?

You'll be fine...maybe you can take the job and keep working up until the second or even latter part of your pregnancy...MEDICAID will pay for all of your pregnancy related expenses 100% percent if you meet the income requirements while employed, and if not employed, they will cover you...someone else also suggested WIC, which will help you while you are pregnant with nutrition, and also help by providing formula (if you so choose) after the baby is born.

If you want more info send me a message...I became pregnant shortly after my fiance arrived in the US, and he was not employed, and I had to stop working temporarily due to complications...it was tough for a while but the programs for USC's are there to help us and do not affect the status of non USC's going through the immigration process!

    Good luck...

  3. Ok, so I want to see a whole lot more white & asian people on BET, I am insisting that they reflect the multi-cultural society within which they operate :protest::jest:

White people are already everywhere in the media. Most black people I know don't even watch the mess you believe is for 'black' people (BET).

Asians and natives are also amongst the discriminated and underrepresented persons in this country. When was the last time you have even seen an asian or native in a major TV movie, or talk show? Or on the radio station? And I"m not talking the bull ####### with martial arts movies that stereotypically represent them...or old cowboy movies...

You really need to pick up a book and read. It is truly fundamental. Just as you say some have no excuse for wanting 'AA' to work in their best interest, there is no excuse for you to be as ignorant as you are in this age of technology. Take off the blinders and educate yourself. You should be capable, if not, then it's true as the saying goes, ignorance is bliss.

I suppose you like all the attention that you are getting...negative or not...truly pathetic. I almost feel sorry for you. However my best advice to you is, if you want to get a free education, go attend an HBCU...(historically black college/university) However, I suppose you would say that it isn't good enough for you...and still find any reason to complain...

  4. I specifically spoke of eliminating the need for welfare by requiring education for young people. You are aginst education for young people? welfare will never go away until we eliminate the NEED for it. Just like illegal aliens will never go away until we eliminate the economic incentive for them to be here. You can build fences, have amnesty, whatever, it does not matter. If there is an economic demand for illegal aliens, they will be here. Period. Welfare is an economic reality. The people who are generational welfare receivers simply cannot make as much as they get from welfare in any job they can qulaify for because their education SUCKS because no one ever encouraged or required them to get an education. Highly educated people simply are not on welfare for multiple generations. the two conditions are mutually exclusive, completely and without exception. People on welfare in my state collect more than $700 per week in benefits and cash for a family of three. So how, exactly, does an un-wed mother of two children who dropped out of high school make $700 per week (after tax!!!!) and THEN have to pay for medical insurance, deductibles, co-pays which she gets now free? She needs to earn something like $1200 per week GROSS to match that and cover her deductions for medical insurance. How can she do that? It isn't possible, not even in her wildest dreams. How does a person like that get a job paying $62,400 per year? Given the circumstances the SYSTEM put her in, welfare is the BEST she can do! We have institutionalized welfare slaves and thrown an economic noose around a couple million people. Like I said, the KKK never had so much absolute control of so many people. If you manhandled a woman like that in Alabama they would call it RAPE!

The way to END welfare is to end the NEED for welfare. The way to end the NEED for welfare, 100% guaranteed, is to provide education for ALL people and require education for all people. the way to end Affirmative action is to educate people. I would think you would be HAPPY if welfare and affirmative action died for lack of interest...would you not? Wouldn't you be HAPPY if people did not need welfare because they could make much more money and live much better in gainful employment? I believe they can do it with education. I believe they can overcome any obstacle if they have incentive and a path they can see. I believe they can ignore peer pressure if they can look ahead to a a future that is not being on welfare, diabetes, prison, obesity, drug addiction, or being killed in a drive-by at age 17. (you think cheap, addictive crack cocaine and crank was a fluke? A coincidence? That stuff is MAN-MADE, who do think made it? It is another poison to cripple a race and keep them where "they belong")

I believe in people. Racists do not. I say they CAN, racists say they CAN'T. Racists say "give them a hand-out" I say "Give them a hand UP". Racists say "you need us" I say "you don't need anyone but yourself" Racists say "we will feed you and house you and care for you like a pet monkey" I say "I will teach you to feed yourself, build your own house, and care for yourself so you don't need to be anyone's pet"

^5 to this post, and the rest of the free thinkers in this thread. Its good to see that there are sane, educated, and humble people out here...that understand why we as a PEOPLE are in a certain position, and why things will remain the same.

You are absolutely right. The system of inequalities was created for the very reason of keeping the rich rich, and the poor poor...if everyone had the tools needed, education, opportunity and the means, then these programs would not be needed...I'd like to see the day that happens...but hey, we live in a capitalistic society...it's a dead dream...

  5. I just think it's complete and utter BS that someone can start a business, from scratch and with hard work. Then later the government gets to tell this person who he should hire at the exclusion of others. complete and utter BS, racist and wrong. There is opportunity for everyone to start their own damn businesses and decide for themselves who they want to hire, whether from their own clan or not.

That's your opinion and I value it, thanks. You're more than welcome to add to the discussion, perhaps without having to throw out personal insults?

The insults started long before I entered this thread...all of the things that this dumb #### thread is implying about minorities in general is a damn travesty.

    Now try this on, because its truly meant to be insulting;

The United States would be better off without another dumb #### broad/dude joining the ranks of the many that we already have. IF you don't like the policies of this country, keep your ignorant African #### in Africa with the rest of the ignorant #### 'Africans' that you are spewing so much hate about...

    Yeah...I said it..

  6. It's definitely up there in the top 10. Nothing fires up some members here than stories of Black minorities getting scholarships. It's all the rage these days.

With attitudes and ignorant mindsets such as these, there is no wonder why affirmative action, and many other programs are still needed to help everyone that doesn't fit in the status quo of the upper echelon white males.

It also strikes me so funny, that these same people, who without fear spew this type of ignorance without fear of retribution online, would never have the courage or the decency in the name of the being HONEST, talk the same bunk out in the ordinary.

I'd love to hear people speaking of their opinions like this in the workplace, at church, out in public, and not just behind closed doors. That is the problem with people in America and beyond...too biased, racist, sexist, you name it.

Why are so many afraid to talk about this in the open? Why must people hide their true agendas? Programs like AA will never go away if the nutty fools are afraid to have an open dialogue about it.

If you can't talk about it out loud and not behind a computer, then you may as well just shut up, or go join the 'blacks' and other minorities that you are accusing of being whiny and begging for handouts.

    Ignorant a$$ f&*@!

  7. Fail! I said a hell of a lot of folk in ghettos are clearly not interest in progressing. If you cannot succeed in forty years, then when will you succeed? Furthermore, how does one succeed or progress hanging out in street corners? Fact, as in not opinion, students in ghettos receive a hell of a lot more funding per student than those in rich areas. So don't even pretend that they do not have the opportunity or resources allocated to them to progress.

Though, I do like this group them all together tactic that's once again deployed.

Edit: There are millions who have migrated to the US with nothing, yet have achieved more in 10 years than those who have been here a lifetime. I am not talking about wealth but about becoming functional members of our society.

So, your argument would be that, its ok for black people, (minorities) to receive AA, financial aid, etc etc...if they did NOT live in ghettos?

FYI: The majority of "AFRICAN AMERICANS" do not live in ghettos. Affirmative action is also for WOMEN, not just minorities, but ALL WOMEN...

This is about the most ridiculous and ignorant thread I've ever seen on vj.

  8. Okay, like seriously, please check on the OPs signature. I think shes still on the process of getting her GC! how the heck will the "faudulent guy" be able to have her sponsor him for a GC when shes not a USC herself!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't anyone realize her signature before??????????????

Her post is full of BS!!!!!!!!

I mean if you're mature enough I don't think you'd still be asking peoples opinions on whether you should report someone who is living illegally in the USA without proper documentation because there are certain rules to be followed and it would be unfair for us who got proper documentation/papers legally and have to go through the process all the way.

TO THE OP: PLEASE ACT ACCORDINGLY!

    Well I'm just saying......

Why are you trying to read between the lines? Check timeline for full info and not signatures...I haven't updated my signatures in a while...anyhoo...Many thanks to everyone with responses, as I've been offered some good advice, and some not so good advice, while many have pointed me in the right direction...thanks

  9. what i meant was, do you know for a fact that they were engaging in such activities?

Yes. Confirmed by private investigation. All of this info was confirmed after I assisted the help of a PI to find out what the true whereabouts of my child was. If I really wanted to get back at him, I would have just called the police for him leaving her with an unauthorized person.

Instead I wanted a background check to find out who was going to be around my child...Jane Doe, aka Jane Doe D., aka Jane X Doe, aka Jane Y Doe, and the same as her father, John Doe, aka John Doe X.

No, if you really wanted to ensure the safety of your child, you would have called the police. Instead you're investigating the background of who's around your child? The point of this endeavor being?

I have called the police before and the child was released to me. However it has become a situation where he continues to defy the order. I have tried to resolve this through mediation but there is always a new twist and turn in the situation, and complete denial of residing in a different physical address than the one he is giving me and the courts.

It looks like this is becoming a never ending process that is going to cost thousands in litigation, or per the advice of an attorney, report the situation to ICE and be done with it...

Reporting is NOT what I want to do, I want her father to clean up his act and have a RELATIONSHIP with her, I want him to clean up his act so he can be a positive role model in her life, and help her to become the best person that she can be, but I cannot FIX him, nobody can.

Doing all of that requires 'responsibility', honesty, integrity. If he would just tell the truth I wouldn't have any surprises or reason to ask questions about where she is and who she is with...why the secrecy?

    Responsibility seems not to be an issue in his life. If he would just TELL me where she is and who she is with, then I wouldn't be inquiring about his personal business and finding out all kinds of crazy mess to begin with;

This looks like the tip of the iceberg...how many people REALLY are involved in this identity theft ring and whom?

Things like this you only hear about on the news, not deal with in real life, and its scaring the bejezuz out of me...my logical MIND says report, my heart says keep trying to resolve the issue without extremes, but its not working and I'm afraid for my child, as he's already threatened to leave the country with her...

Perhaps I should just keep my mouth shut, and just let him do as he pleases, and just pray to the almighty that nothing happens to her, but if it does...I could never forgive myself...

  10. what i meant was, do you know for a fact that they were engaging in such activities?

  11. Perhaps they will do with her identity the same that they have done with others,...USE IT...as stated before they have multiple aliases and identities....

do you know that for a fact?

Fact. I had my social security number used when I was underage by one of my own parents. It caused a lot of trouble and money and cleaning up when I became an adult; if I had not paid for it myself, I would have had to prosecute my parent...imagine the trouble...

  12. What's the saying.... "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"

This is payback, and putting a child in the middle.

I wish it was payback, I'd find something better to do with my time if my child WAS NOT in the middle. Common sense says that if you are hiding who you are, and who you are associating with, and cannot and will not let me know whereabouts of my child, then something smells, and I found out what that something was...

There is a saying called, 'if you do the crime, do the time'.

  13. If your source of information is your daughter, shouldn't you consult her about whether or not to report? If you do decide to report, be prepared for ICE to take no action whatsoever. If those involved have their green cards, it's legally OK for them to live this way, but of course not morally right.

My child is under 5 years old...my source of information is not my daughter. My source of information has been his relative.

If he has a conditional two year permanent resident card and has not filed for removal of conditions then it is not LEGALLY ok for them to live that way when they are both supposed to be living with their 'spouses' whom they married if it was legitimate. That is why it is 'marriage fraud'. They married with the purpose of obtaining LPR; cash for vows.

He and his current girlfriend both obtained 2 year cards by marrying USC's of whom they do NOT live with. Per our custody arrangements he is supposed to inform me of my daughter's whereabouts when he has her or who he leaves her with. He will not give me the address/number of the woman he leaves her with which concerns me about her safety and well-being...this is a complicated situation...

Why would ICE bother to relieve reports without any action, and why do they make laws regarding immigration if no one is going to enforce or abide by the rules?

What if these people who already are using multiple identities steal my child's identity and begin to use it/sell it for their own purposes? Or to help someone else stay here legally...

The shyte isn't right. Should I stand by and do nothing...? And what I'm trying to do is ensure my child's safety and future is protected...

  14. So initially I posted a thread about suspected marriage fraud...see this link :

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry3287675

Upon doing some more research to be sure that it was indeed fraud and obtain more information to provide ICE with to help with their investigation, I found out even more information.

I found out that not only is the person that I initially thought was committing marriage fraud, the person he is dating has possibly also committed marriage fraud.

These two married people, are living together as girlfriend/boyfriend, while their USC spouses live elsewhere at separate residences...

Am I about to open a HUGE can of worms by reporting this one person? This is looking bigger than what I initially thought it would be; multiple fraud cases...

I must admit that I am afraid because my child is in the middle of all this mess and I want to be sure that her protection is FIRST and FOREMOST if they are going to be investigated by ICE and that no harm comes her way if these people find out that I reported them...

Please help me people...this is a moral issue that is deeply paining me...

  15. This is nothing new..... this is a clear case of identity theft.

You seem close to this person and his family. With everything you know, looks like you still communicate with him.

I agree with everyone, report him before its too late. If you think he successfully got his green card, he's prolly using he's real identity now.

Unfortunately I can't write this person out of my life...I have to maintain a certain level of communication with him; however I will report him for abusing the system. He has not only abused the system, but has been conning and coercing people to support his cause.

We don't need another person here that is doing that, life here is hard enough.

So there is NO circumstance whatsoever that can make you cut off all ties with this guy?? The only thing i can think of is if you both have a child together etc. But look, its none of my business why you can't, i just really feel bad that you are associated with someone who is willingly and disdainfully committing fraud. It seems to be weighing on your mind. Everyone here has given the best advice possible, you need to contact ICE or USCIS (not sure which one specifically) and report him.

LIke one of the other posters wrote, how do you know he is not using YOUR SS no. or a friend/family's??

I know all of us on here who have gone thru the long process of doing things legally and had the satisfaction of being able to live in this country as free men and women get frustrated and angry when people commit visa fraud. I know that if i was in your shoes, i would be calling the appropriate numbers to report him. plus, YOU don't want to be accused of harboring a known fraud, it could affect you and your family.

    those are my thoughts...

    :)

Yes, and I have given it long thought to the effects that it may be on our child. But I suppose he should have thought of that before breaking any laws, and no he's not using my information. I check my credit reports on a regular basis and he has no access to any of my other family members or even the personal information of our child....

I already decided that I will report him. I was just asking if it did seem as if he had broken the law based on the information I gave...

    Thanks

  16. This is nothing new..... this is a clear case of identity theft.

  17. And by the way - if you actually know this person (or actually know of him) I would seriously wish you would consider reporting this to the proper authorities.

The last thing I'd want is a illegal/fraudulent person working at an airport (too easy for them to be bullied/blackmailed into possibly doing things they might not ordinarily do which puts us all at risk).

Sadly I do know him, he tried to marry me for a green card, that is why we are no longer friends. I want to report him, how can I do it? Just call ICE? Can I report anonymously?

  18. After 9/11 I think its wierd because somehow he was able to still obtain someone's ss number, or recieve an ID or work permit, when F-1 visa holder's are not supposed to accept employment until after completing a program.

I don't know about how people are able to obtain illegal documents that 'check out' without being caught; especially working at an airport base...that's why its wierd to me...

  19. I wanted to ask the advice of people up here on whether or not they think this situation constitutes marriage fraud:

Alien comes over on F-1 visa...doesn't maintain requirements of the visa and becomes out of status by not staying enrolled in the school and carrying a full course load as this particular visa requires.

Alien continues to work, without authorization. (At and near an airport, wierd right?)

Alien then gets married and adjusts status for Green card, and does not live with his spouse, and has a girlfriend that is definitely not the spouse...

Alien's sister also has confirmed that he doesn't live with his spouse and has multiple women in his life...

What do you think? And if it smells like fraud what/how, would you do to report it?

I just think that it is really unfair and unjust for those of us who honestly and correctly go about these procedures of being with our spouses...

  20. No - you can't.

That's tax evasion - which is illegal...

    Bobby, and others...

I believe the OP has clearly stated he intends to make this money and not pay taxes or claim it...which is illegal, true. BUT until the end of the year he is simply working for cash, not unlike the auto mechanic that fixes my car, the roofers who put a new roof on my house last month, the waitress you tipped at the restaraunt last night, or the guy selling hot dogs and soda on Church Street in Burlington. There is NOTHING illegal about being paid cash, which is why our currency says "legal tender for all debts public and private". Though his intent may be tax evasion, and I do not know if he indeed failed to claim such income for last year...his current receipt of this money is NOT illegal and CAN be claimed as current income (if he can verify it to the consulate's satisfaction). MOST employers CHOOSE to pay by check as it is of benefit to them in record keeping and verification if they are audited or for reporting to stockholders, partners, etc. They NEED a means to verify and balance everything, a self employed person does not. There is no obligation for anyone to pay by check nor an obligation for you to accept a check, a check is NOT legal tender and is not currency.

What the OP does after December 31, 2009 will determine if this is a crime or legal self employment income. IF he chooses the criminal act of not reporting income, he will not be able to claim it as such on his 2009 tax return and will not be able to show it as such for the AOS, loan applications or any other process requiring income verification.

    Wonderful response!!!

  21. Dr. Allan: Oh! You are with child? That explains that pregnant glow on her skin. I have got to have this woman. I have never met a woman more beautiful. Take it easy Lester. Go slow. Here, let me. Have a seat. Did you want something? Coffee…tea?

    Melodee: Tea please. Thank you.

Dr. Allan orders two peppermint teas, and comes back to the small table to continue his conversation with his newfound beauty.

This is getting really good now...and EWWWWWWW @ the doctor...NASTY NASTY NASTY!
