That sounds good. Our email was similar. I think that a job offer or having to move to the U.S. because of your current employer is a reason to qualify for DCF.

We also included the information that I was expected to come to the US on an H1B visa, but the former government suddenly changed some rules so that my future employer could not sponsor my H1B visa anymore. Therefore, we wanted to apply for a Green Card, which usually takes about a year. So we asked for the accelerated DCF process.

We also mentioned how hard it was to be separated, especially during the pandemic and that it was very difficult to get reunited in Germany because of all the travel bans. I think the coworkers at the embassy are quite empathetic.

Be nice and polite in your email, I think your chances are very good!

No, my wife actually didn't have the "Aufenthaltserlaubnis" at the moment when we asked for the DCF since we just have gotten married. But it is required once you submit the I-130 package. Therefore, I would suggest to apply for it as soon as possible. Also, I read that some people sent the I-130 package with the note that the spouse has applied for the Aufenthaltserlaubnis, but that was not enough. So make sure you already have the Aufenthaltserlaubnis as a "real card" in hand. It took about three weeks to get it.

    Hello,

We did not need any proof from the employer. My wife just wrote an email to the embassy explaining the situation. They responded about one week later that they would accept the case.
I am hopeful that it will also work out for you!
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
