  1. WOW.....

what a difference from the male point of view and the female point of view.....

You both right......but 2 rights does not make a relationship works either....

it seem that neither side is willing to make a small compromises....

    I think we need to add a sub-forum to this....like such;

A guide for KANO husband with Pinay wife......

Your wife is a another "human being"....just like you...treat her with respect as you may want to be treated by her.

Your wife is not a victory price to be shown around.....she is not a thing...again she is a human being with feeling and emotions!!!

How would you feel if your mother or sister was treated in a certain ways?....

remember is or will be someone's mother and she is someone's sister......

A guide for Pinay wife with Kano husband.......

USA is "NOT" the land of MILK and HONEY and not everyone has a money tree in the backyard...

if you have that illusion..... leave it at the airport, before embarking on the trip.

Life here is very hard, harder then were you coming from, because without an income or a decent income life will be miserable.Extended family is not the same due to culture difference among many other western culture things...

    100% Agree!!!

  2. We just moved here last week. All my friends live in another States and so I don't really have that much friends here right now. My husband wants to go to a christmas party tomorrow so, it would really be nice if I know somebody from here who will be going to that same event too and meet.

we're not from colorado either but my husband and i just've been there (crested butte) a week ago to snow ski...it was my first time there and i liked the place very much...crested butte is just a small town but we like the place bcoz it is quite and most people in there are friendly and helpful... :star::thumbs:

Good for you! Can't wait to go skiing. It would be my first time too and I'm just sooo excited about it although we can't do it right now because we still gotta have to find a babysitter for my baby:(.

  5. Right now, I'm feeling so excited because me and hubby are gonna go to a filipino restaurant later for our dinner. I'm always excited when it comes to filipino foods you know.

    To chris@beth,

My prayers goes out to your daughter. I hope and pray that she will feel better soon. I know how you feel right now. It's not really easy when you see your kids getting sick or hurt. I am also a mother myself and everytime we go to the hospital for my baby's check up, it always makes me feel like passing out especially when they pricked needles in his arms and everything. I don't usually watch the nurses doing it because it would just make me cry seeing my baby taking all those sharp needles and obviously hurt.

  6. Oh, yeah. Time apart was like hell especially with all the waiting for the day until we would be together again. Time together is like heaven. Everyday's always a great day with your partner right by your side. Sometimes you have misunderstandings and LQ's but as long as your love for each other is solid, nothing can ever break it, no matter what.

  7. K-1 visa is different than CR-1 visa ...

With K-1 you must first file AOS after arrival and getting married ... takes about 10 months ...

With CR-1 the greencard is mailed out automatically when the visa holder passes through POE ... and should arrive at the visa holders home about 2 weeks later ...

Also you SHOULD have received your Social Security card by now ... it normally arrives 1 to 2 weeks after the greencard ...

The address change may have delayed things ... but I think it would be wise to start actively trying to resolve this ... you have waited long enough ...

    -- George

Ooopsss, sorry Tito George. I didn't know she's CR-1. Well, I hope she will get her problem resolved:).

  8. Being paranoid again..... :wacko

Been here for 2 months now (Tennessee)....but I haven't received my GC..

I change address at my POE and I ask the immigration officer if I should call USCIS and inform them that I have changed address, but she told me its okay coz she already changed it for me.

And now,its been 2 months and still no GC...called USCIS customer service and ask about my GC, and they don't have any idea about my greencard... the last update they have in their system is my NOA1..and that was ages ago, they havent update it eversince...

This is the number that I've been calling... 1-800-375-5283 (or am I calling the wrong number?or been talking to a stupid operator? or am I just stupid?! :P )

Don't be :D. I got my greencard almost 10 months from the day I got here Via K1 Visa:). You'll get it one day for sure. Try not to think about it too much and you'll see, it will just appear in your mailbox unexpectedly :D .

  9. Hi there. The only advice I can give you for your friend is to go back to the Philippines. . I know it would be hard but it would also be harder for her to stay here illegally since it will be the only option she has if she really insists to stay here. The thing is, you can't always run from the law and if she gets caught, she will be deported and face an up to 10 years ban from coming back here in the US depends on how long she's here illegally. If I were her, I would go back and start over. There's always a lot of opportunities out there to be able to come back here in the US. Please don't get offended by the advices that people gave you here. Those were just their opinions. At the end of the day, it will be your friend's decision whether to stay or not here in the US. Good Luck and I hope your friend will make a right decision :)

  11. congratulations! babies are always great gifts until they grow up and talk back at ya! :D

this post definitely made me laugh so hard hahahha

you know what moms would say after the children talk back??? it's the " do you know how painful it was to give birth? "

I assure you it definitely looks very painful.. and everything just gets soooo stretched out for the baby to come out ...

that's why childern must try not to dishonor/disobey/disrespect the parents esp. the moms...

but sadly we all can be rebels at one point hehehe

but congratulations to the OP you must be very excited :):)

 And it's like " If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have lost my modesty" :D
