Thanks everyone! Aey and I hope that you will soon know our surprise and happiness as well.

I just wanted to take a moment to share my joy.
I logged into my email this morning to find, quite unexpectedly, an NOA2! I called Aey this morning and surprised her at work. She started cheering, crying, and certainly had the attention of everyone in the office. I know how she feels! This is certainly I will be back in Thailand with her in about 19 days, and we really didn't think this would happen until closer to (or even after) my trip. Now, I can take her the paperwork she will need in person!
Congratulations to everyone else who has received NOA2! It looks like things are moving faster now

I had to mail a package of personal documents back from the Iraq to the States. There's a FedEx office here on base, and since I was under a bit of a time crunch, I decided to use them.
The package (a standard flat envelope) cost me over $30.00 to ship, and from checking the tracking numbers, it took over 9 days JUST to leave the country!
Letters and packages sent from the APO (for example, my K1 filing) take less time and are, of course, cheaper.

Hello All,
I just wanted to pass on that our NOA1 was sent from the VSC on 2 October. Our packet was sent 17 September. I would have posted sooner, but I've been in Thailand all this time enjoying my fiancee and her parents, and have not had too much time on the computer!

Thanks for the welcome! I would like to add that given where I am currently located, mail generally takes about 7-10 days to get just about anywhere else. I should have the little green return receipt card sometime soon as well.

Howdy all,
I mailed our package on 17 September, and just wanted to pass along the word that our check was cashed 05 October! WOO HOO! We are ON THE WAY AT LAST! Unfortunately I just see it as "check replacement doc" on my bank, so I don't have the nifty scanned image. I'm off to call the USCIS and see if they can tell me my case number!

GRRRRR! It's a little disheartening to read that VSC is about 10 days behind on new application (IF our I-129F is in the "all other" category.) Hopefully ours is there now and in the stack... I mailed our packet the 17th, and mail typically takes about 7-10 days to get back to the States from here.
Oh well... back to watching the bank for the check to hit!
