yea it took us two years....some mistakes on the forms so ofcourse it slows the process down.....

intially the process was just delayed here. it went from vermont to chcago lock box and then who knows where....

anyway in the end we have an interview....

Ok so the topic title gives it away....we finally got the interview date for September 15th. Thanks to all of you who guided us through this process. It wasn't too bad and definitely you don't need a lawyer.

Anyway so does she need bank statements or something to prove that we are living together. I really haven't put her name on our bills

What do they ask for at the interview? That might be an easier question to answer

Yeah she is already here living with me but I applied for IR-1 long before she moved here. I also paid all the fees.

So I wonder how to proceed. Should I put her current address on the DS-230 as living with me or her address in austria? I know its some sort of fraud and Adjustment of status takes too long.

So here is the situation. Our case is in the NVC and should be going for embassy processing. But the kicker is my wife has legally obtained a job, and a G-4 visa here. Is it better to continue the IR-1 or change to AOS?

IR-1 is much quicker and I have paid all the fees.

Any advice?

I`m just curious, did she stated as married and something about her ongoing I-130 when she applied for visa???

Ofcourse she stated she is married even changed her name....Governmental organizations have lots of pull when you have a request from them to issue a visa.

She got a job here....we had no intent to circumvent the process. She went back home to get her visa too.

Is a G visa a dual intent visa?

Its a Governmental Visa for like World bank, UN etc.

So I finally got my NOA1. I filed my wifes paperwork with the new family name. Does her passport have to match this or does it not matter?

I am trying to fill out the I-130 and wanted to know do we have to change her name on the form although her passport still has her maiden name. Does the names have to marriage?

Our marriage certificate has her new maiden name and also the new one. What should we write on the I-130

SO I been reading I could go the CR-1 route but can she go back and resume working or are you stuck here like the K-1 visa.

I am a US citizen and I would like to marry my fiance in US and then file for the K3 visa.

Is this acceptable? SHe is from Austria and doesn't really need a visa.

The reason we don't go the K1 route is because she can't leave the country like you can with the K3.

Any help is appreciated
