  1. Um, yes I know that your is approved and theirs are not. However, I find it more than a bit strange that so many people got identical strange emails in the span of a few days (and people in different parts of the process - yours long completed for instance). I am trying to connect the dots here using what information is available. My guess is that it is some sort of error and only people with current petitions have been posting about it. Perhaps other people with completed petitions got the same email but did not post about it... yet.

funny !! i was trying to remember who i know on visa journey with completed case just to ask them if they recieved the same email

you are right,, it might be a mistake,, many people recieved the same email...

we got a little freaked out becuz we were thru all the pain and we dont want to go there again ,,

    thank you a lot

  2. I think a lot of people got this email on that day. Hopefully someone will come along and confirm/link... in the meantime I will try to search for other posts, but I think I have seen that verbiage on here a few times in the past week.

    EDIT: Ah, here for instance:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/284334-please-helpcase-sent-back-to-uscis-from-state-deparment-for-review/

the differnce between my case and these people case is i have been approved 2 years ago for my i-130 while they still pending..

but i appercite your effort.. thank you

  3. Hey everyone,

its been long time since i posted here,, but i know i will come back if i need any help..

    so here is the story;

i recieved an email from uscis says this

(((((Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On November 22, 2010, a USCIS office received this case from the State Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we complete our review, or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. ))))))))

this i-130 was approved in dec 2008,, been almost 2 years.

i called the uscis and i asked what this could be, basically they said we cant tell you anything , we need to tell who filed for you - which is my wife- and i tried to pull something from them and the guy from uscis said it might be a system mistake or the dept of state isnt satisfied with the decesion been made by uscis on your case  ..

my wife called and they told her the same thing..

but when i told the guy that i have a green card he asked how did i obtain it?? and my answer was that my wife filed for me and we got green card according to usa immigration laws and policies!

    nevermind now,,

my wife searched everywhere online about something similar and nothing appeared about dept of state sending back approved applictions to uscis to be reviewed!!

so i would like to hear what you people think or if anyone has expeirnced the something close!!

    thanks alot

  5. Hi,

We are finally getting ready to file our K-1 visa and we have NO pictures together I just realised. I was in Jordan for two weeks back in May and on my fifth day I got so sick with some Montezuma's revenge that we hardly left the house and forgot to get one. Any advice or suggestions? I have plane tickets, phone bills, a couple emails, etc... Plus insha'Allah I am planning to return at the beginning of the year and can do that then as well.

    Thanks a bunch,

    Tam

I had an interview in april this year and i had all kind of proofs! emails, chats, phone bills, etc etc,, and pics! the only thing i have been asked is just a pic showing me and my wife with my family!!! so i guess u must get pics togather when u go back!! espacilly with ur spouse family!

  6.

will this help? http://dhi-yazan.com/trans_en.html or do you need it in english characters?

hahah... When I first met me fiances family, I had the great idea to use an online translator. Well, I was talking to his sister at the time, and thought, hey... this is the sh_t and the coolest thing. Well, turned out I told his little sister she was 'beautiful like her grandfather', and then proceed to sell her corn. Humph! She continually laughed and I did not find out until later!

 thats hilarious! i used this to impress yazied a couple times, but had to admit i was cheating :P it never steered me wrong though

  7. That sounds like a blast but i dont have that much time to take off.

woman? are u gonna pay 4500 for that?

i will learn u arabic for free. and we will stay at the huge house that my dad for me and brother! and we will eat for free everyday of what my mom make and also make uncle hammodeh take us all over jordan for free in yousef's car!! we would only pay the tix?

    woman?!?!? :bonk:

using my family as their spolied faraway kid!

  8. Hi everyone! I have a few questions, let me explain some of the history behind the questions, My husband and I applied for a K3 Visa and it was approved he has been in the US with me since Dec. 13 we just had our first child we are now married for two years and we are waiting to to the AOS until the beginning of the new year, and were going to file for EAD for him to work now to save some money!

    1. When they arrive in US do they get paperwork confirming that they are here, or some sort of card saying they can work when they arrive?

    2. Does the stamp on his visa I94 count for anything?

    3. Do I need copies of all the applications and paperwork that I filed to complete the AOS?

    4. How long does it usually take for the EAD to be approved?

    5. His visa expires in Dec. 2010 what process do we have to go through for him to stay while AOS being processed?

    6. How long does the AOS process usually take?

    7. What information should I save or have for AOS interview so I can start now?

Any information would be a great help! Please feel free to provide any info that you think would be helpful for this situation!

Thank you so much in advance! :)

here is what i think is :

** the 194 shows he entered the usa on certain date. and also shows his A# but it doesnt allow him to work. the only thing that allows him to work is EAD card and/or green card,

and for the future keep copies of everything so u go back to it once u need!!

EAD might take till 3 months to be done!! i got mine on aug 24th and thats about 2 months .. almost 2 months!

and as i knoe the aos takes about 6 months as maximum and u go thru an interviw,,,

things u show up with in the aos interview are close to the proof u prvided in the embassy.. such as house contract that have u both guys names on it" if ur renting a house" joint IRS documents,, " filing taxes togather" .. pics also in the usa for u guys togather and any other documents that shows ur having stuff togather!! like him on ur insurance or something!!

    good luck

  9.

Im christian and my husband is muslim. We talked about raising kids and I have no problems raising my future kids muslim or for my son to start learning now. We dont debate or disagree about anything religious. We do talk about the similarities between the two religions. I love to learn about religion anyway, I always have been fasinated with other peoples beliefs.

My husband has often said... I dont ever think of us as having two different religions.

I'll report back in 20 years and revive this thread for an update :P

  10. Well, he is here and his trip went great. Everything was easy as pie and it his first trip ever.

Paris.. he said, was easy to get around and why did I tell him it was hard. When he was ready to board they asked him.. where are you going?, who are you seeing, and who payed for your ticket and that's it.

At POE in Atlanta, he said, OMG!! it was so easy. :) Guy came to get him at booth took him to a room, he spent 15 minutes there with others. Guy came back and said follow me and took him to another room. In 30 minutes total he was given his passport with the I-94 and was told you're done. Only thing happen in Atlanta was his flight delayed 2 hours.

He's happy as a bee and so am I. I will write later as i've got to try and get in touch with his family so they feel better about his arival hearing his voice.

But in that way your husband will not be able to work untill two years of your marriage. Which I think as per your timeline may 2010. Otherwise it will be perfectly ok.

no actually, a k3 holder can file a stand alone EAD application and receive work authorization.

You dont have to file AOS to get work auth on a K3. this is one of the benefits to a K3 holder. You can bypass lifting conditions by filing AOS timely so that you get approved after your 2 yr anniversary.

Its the only spousal/fiance visa that gives you a way around the lifting conditions if you are married under 2 years upon visa issuance. Even the CR1 is a 2 yr GC and requires lifting conditions in 2 years :)

  14. Also, what kind of pics did you include? Pics of just you and your hubby?

oh ya, pics! we had an album full. The CO was only concerned about pics of me with his family. We had lots of those too, tahnk goodness. So, I would say to include some of you guys looking happy(of course they're all like that right) and as many that you have of you and his family.

You know what's really funny...I have been married over a year and living with my husband in Egypt, but there is only like one picture of us taken together since the day we got married. We are just not really into taking pictures (of ourselves). I wonder if this will cause a problem when we start our filing process. We also don't have any written communications with each other no cards or letters or emails or chats - we've never done any of that either. Is the "photographic and chat" evidence needed when you are not residing in the same country with your spouse or is it needed every time?

It's really for people living apart.

If you live with your spouse then there is no need to show that you email/chat/call everyday hee.

But I would DEF start taking pics together. Im sure you have a lease with both of your names on it and such? Basically your evidence of a bonofide/ongoing relationship is that you live together. You need not worry about chat logs and stuff, but do take pics and have all of your docs that show that you do indeed live together ready for the interview :)

Wow. I never thought about it before. There is no lease. My husband lived in this apt unleased for 7 years prior to me moving in. We were just joking about the picture thing...might have to do like the characters in Green Card did - we will go out on the roof and take a bunch of pictures changing our clothes after every one! LOL

'Y's_habibitk'...did you take letters from your friends and family to your interview? We've got our interview in a few weeks in Jordan and I am so afraid that I am going to miss something that might be necessary.

Kenza...Congratulations on your interview. I wish you the best!!!!:dance::dance:

tell ur spouse not to panic at all, and during the interview should have a smiley face and not to look so nervous..

its easy and cool... answer the questions with a little explnations :

for example if ur spouse been asked :

what does ur wife/husband work? the answer shouldnt be just :NURSE!! should say: well, he/she works as a nurse in bla bla momerial hospital! and so!!

and i guess the firset question is : how did u meet ur spuse?

    good luck

  15. We used manilla folders with acco fasteners, because I had heard that in most consulates, the binder wont fit through the little window opening.

We organized by type and then chronologically. Like one side full of print screens with emails and chats, the other side with letters and misc communications ect ect. There were I think 3 thick folders crammed full of evidence, I was a little OCD lol

Im excited for you Kenza, good luck!

and added the yahoo phone calls to the calls folder,, and made a folder for the misc stuff.. such as the apt lease that we rented in jordan , letters from family, life insurnce policy etc etc

and a folder of embassy forms and the medical test! the other three folders that " (L) LISA (L) " sent me had the rest of the evidnce and i printed out screen prints of my yahoo inbox .. about 1200 emails.. 25 emails on each page!! lol

    and 2 albums of pics,,

u can see my review on the embassy ... and all i have been asked to show is 2 pics!! " SHOW ME A PIC THAT INCULDES YOUR WHOLE FAMILY WITH UR WIFE"

    good luck

  16. Iam trying to figure out an easy way to say goodbye.....Its so hard, I want to take him home with me but I can't. I can't leave him and Iam in tears everytime I think about it. How do you get through this? Iam leaving my heart on the otherside of the world with him. Please if anyone knows how to cope with this please let me know

thinking that u met the love of ur life and the happines of that may help,, and thinking that u will see him again after this whole process and life happily ever after,,, have the faith that u will end the process very soon and just listen to ur heart,,,

i spent 15 months and 13 days without my wife,.,, a whole year and 3 month,,, a very hard time if that is gonna help,, but i had the faith that this is my love and i am gonna fight for.... have faith in ur love and be in a daily connection with ur hubby.

    good luck with ur journey
