  1. Hello,

My fiancee arrived in the US in Feb 1. We married April 19, 2008. The reason I waited was because I wanted the marriage to be 2 years from the day we met. (April 22, 2006). 22 was on Tuesday and I had to work, so we made it for SATURDAY. Will the fact that I waited so long be bad? Her visa expires May 2nd-the marriage is witin 90days. My lawyer is filling out the info. Do the papers have to be in the USCIS office before 90 days(I hope not). The money orders that are required are: $930 - Green card application, $80 petition and $355 fingerprints. Is that correct? Are there any sample interview questions?

  2. Hello,

My fiancee arrived in this country in Feb. We got married on April 19 and her visa expires on May 2nd. We have to now prepare papers fot the lawer. I now have a wife and I am NOT going to seperate from her. I cannot believe how the government is involved in my love life. We have an apartment, a joint bank account and pay bills with the account. Is this all I need to get this interview approved? How many approvals do they need to have the immigatration realize that this is not a game.

  3. My fiancee just had her interview today. She answed all the questions that they asked:

    -When we met,

    -How do we communicate,

-why her visa was canceled(it was canceled because she came back too soon)

-has she ever stayed in the United States longer than 6 months.

After that they said all is good and they took her passport and the documents(proof of support, etc). At this poin t they said she will get everything back in the mail.

I am wondering what this meant. I was under the impression that they would issue her a visa card the same day.

Has anyone ever had the passport mailed to them?

Does this mean approval or what?

    Thanks

  4. Hello,

I am so nervous. My fiancee has her interview Jan 9 and the package(proof of support, original evidence, paycheck stubs, tax returns) have been sent yesterday because of delays with my lawyer. The package is going to be in Peru on Monday the 7th providing no customs delays. My question is:

if it does not arrive in time for the interview will they give her a chance to get the package? (I am going to fax her the receipt from FEDEX)

Also, if she answers the questions correctly, provides the original evidence, the new evidence(new pictures, phone records, copy of my passport and Instant Messanger conversations), and my support documents, what are the chances of her actually getting the visa?

    Thank you

  5. Maribel, my fiancée went to take the class today. She called and was told all she needed was 2 pieces of ID. From reading various posts here i told her to bring her passport, other ID,and pictures of us together. they asked for all that PLUS my mothers maiden name, what my degree was in and the yr,( these she knew) but then they also wanted to see copies of my divorce decrees. needless to say she didn't have them and i had to email for her to print out. Just thought I'd let others know it seems they are asking for more info than their own site says.

    Hello,

Can you please tell me what class you are talking about. Correct me, if I am wrong. Are you saying that the interview for the K1 visa is in two parts.

    -AOS

    - and Questions about that she must know.

If this is true please tell me the questions. If she gets some questions wrong-mybe because we never discussed them.

    Thank you

  6. Hi,

I have a problem. I visited Peru on Dec18-31. During that time my fiance recieved her Documents from the embassy in Peru. I returned to the US on Jan01 and she is having a problem with getting the police records because people are on vacation. The interview is Jan09. (one week). This is crazy - They make me wait 6 months and they schedule an interview when people are off. Does anyone know if the interview can be re-sceduled for the following week

    Thanks

  7. Hello all,

My i-129f got approved :) Nov 29. I am wondering if I have to provide the proof of support at the interview in Peru or when my, soon to be, wife is in the U.S.

Also, can anyone direct me in the questions they may ask my fiancee. I am getting more nervous than she is. I know she should not have a problem. But, I get nervous of anything. Also, how hard is the interview. Is there any trick questions?

    Thank you

  8. Hello,

The date of my noa1 is July 12, 2007 and it is almost Christmas and still have not received any NOA2 or touches. I check the USCIS website every day and do not see anything different than "case pending". To me, this whole thing stinks. Why shouldn't I be with my loved one without any government rubbish? I understand that they are have to be safe. But, my fiancee has been here before and they should know that she is nothing to worry about. But, I guess this is what happens when you have people following a set of rules without using their brains. Has anyone who filed in VSC in July got their NOA2 yet?

    Thanks

  9. Hello,

I have sent the I-129f in July and here it is Thansgiving and I am still waiting. Is this a joke. I am trying very hard to understand this rubbish. I cannot understand why two people who are in love and want to be together cannot. I wonder how those people who made this law would feel being seperated from their loved one. I can prove this relationship in two seconds. I already visited my fiancee in Peru and returning for Christmas. This is beyound stupid-This is peoples lives. Are they trying to get me to move to Peru? Has anyone who filed in July go their approval yet?

    Thanks,

    lixtifur

  10. Does anyone know if my fiancee having a canceled visa is going to be a problem? She has not overstayed or anything like that. She always was careful about leaving 1 -2 weeks before her visa expired. She just came back to soon. But, she left on her own.

My lawyer says it will not be a problem.

    Thanks

  11. I have sent my i-129f with all the evidence I had at the time. Which included:

    -Pictures with dates and names

-phone records from my fiance and I(we have a family share plan)

    -greeting cards sent by mail

    -letters from friends

However, we met in US and I didn't visit any other country. Since I sent the i-129f, I have even more evidence because I went to her country. Is there any way to add evidence after the i-129f has been sent? If I do get an RFE does my evidence I send in at the time start the waiting p[rocess all over again or does it go to the person sending the RFE?

    Thanks

Does the Non-citizen fiance(e) have a Visa Entry Stamp in his/her passport proving they were admitted into the USA. What about boarding passes from the airplane flight from their country t the USA. Usually boarding passes and a copy of All pages of the passport including the VISA stamp are helpful if not required.

Evidence from your meetings AFTER submitting the I-129F petition will not be accepted.

    Good luck

What do you mean they will not be accepted? Are you saying that they will not even send me an RFE. if I did not send enough evidence then that is it.

  12. Congrats on sending everything off! It doesn't matter where you met, only that you met in the last 2 years. Don't worry about sending more evidence, the appropriate time to submit more evidence is at her interview. After we submitted the I-129F we continued to collect evidence, I sent the new evidence along with the I134 to my SO and he brought them all to his interview. No problem.

No sure who handles what during RFEs but I've seen other VJer say that their processing resumed very quickly after they sent in the requested items.

Thank you. It is very hard being without my loved one

  13. I have sent my i-129f with all the evidence I had at the time. Which included:

-phone records from my fiance and I(we have a family share plan)

    -greeting cards sent by mail

  14. Anyone else file in July at VSC and still nothing?

I check the status of it everyday and it still says received and pending. Just how long does this take anyway. I can prove this in seconds and they are not moving. This whole process is rubbish. Why should I not be with my fiance. What makes me upset is the fact that there are illegal immigrants who come here and even get jobs and my fiance comes here, respects the law and they dont allow her in just because she returned to soon.

    Thank you

  15. All that is great evidence. Do you have copies of your boarding passes?

You should send the letter of intent with the I-129F package and then send an updated one for the interview.

Right now, I have copies of everything-Boarding passes, receipt from everything purchased in Peru. I even kept the labels that the airports put on the luggage. However, the lawyer has sent all the evidence I had at the time.

I think that pictures should be the best evidence. After all, Just because somebody goes to a country does not prove anything but they have been to another country.

  16. Hello,

My sunshine(fiance) and I met in the US in April 2006. She left for her visa in September 2006 and returned in Nov 2006 to see me. She left in Feb2007 and was going to return in April 2007, but was not allowed in the country- just because she returned to soon. :crying: I went to a lawyer to start a K1 visa in May 2007. It was finally sent to VSC in July and got my NOA1 on July 12 2007. Since then I went to Peru(her country) and got more evidence. I am going back in December to stay with her for Christmass and her birthday. I think that I should have waited to send the I-129f because I do have more evidence that I went to her country. Now, I am waiting for almost 3 months and I am scared of it getting denied. Does anybody know what the chances are if someone has the evidence below.

-pictures of her and I as well as pictures of her and I with my family

-greeting cards sent from her and I(sent by mail)

    -emails

-phone records from her and phone records from me(by the, we are both on a Verizon family share plan)

-picture of her with necklace and engagement ring

    -receipt of engagement ring

My lawyer said that a letter of intent to marry is at the interview only. I think I should have one just in case of an RFE. So could anyone please direct me to the correct format of the letter.

Also I filed in July, does anyone know what month VSC is procesing now

I have seen timelines that say "touched". What does that mean and what is BIOMETRICS?

Can anybody please tell me what she has to do in order for the interview

    Thank you

  17. I have met my fiance in April 2006 and have filed the i-129f in July 2007(a little more than 1 year). My question is when they say 2 years, does it mean it has to be atleast 2 years since I met her or does it mean that we must have met anytime within the past two years?

Has anyone been approved that have met less than 2 years?

    Thank you
