  1. My husband's family has a magic jack. Sometimes the call quality sucks and sometimes it's ok. Problem with those is, they have to have the computer on all the time which my husband's family has a problem with. So we'll have to get a phone card to call them to tell them to turn the magic jack on. Or he just waits until they call him and then they give him hell for not calling. :bonk:

We have magic jack too. You cant mail the magic jack to them, cause Egypt will send it back to you in the Usa, saying the Egyptian authority has not approved it. We had to take it with us when we visited Egypt on the plane and then they wont take it cause its your personal property. So his family plugs it in the computer and calls everyday. It is a usa number so I can call them back if the quality is not good and that usually makes the quality perfect. Its worked for us so far everytime. So just say let me call you right back and try that for perfect quality.

  2. My husband is from Egypt and they dont have last names, so they gave him a name 5 fathers long. He wants to change it to only 3 names long and make his 3rd name his last name. His name on his passport and then on his visa says Amr Elsayed Ali Badaway Elfakharany. So they said when he got his conditional residency card a lady there said he could just go change his name at the court house, so He changed it to Amr Elsayed Ali with Ali as his last name. They wont change his ssn until he gets his permanent resident card and removes conditions. My question is , when we file to lift conditions, what name do we put????? Or do we put he name on the conditional card and then tell them at the interview he went to court to change his name?? I have not took Elfakharany as my last name its to much like meet the Faukers. He He.

  3. This is so sad!!! It very well could be he went to tell them and they threw a fit and tore his papers up. So he followed through and was glad you called him a scum, it made the break up easier for him to blame you. He is probably on yahoo invisible seeing if your online. I doubt he is coming to usa. He still would need to show up for interview here to get his green card and it would be a mess trying to come here without anyone. Most come here and get that permanent card first if they are using you for a visa. Just give it to God. Things happen for a reason and we dont always know the answer, just roll with life and hold up your head. You are still for now his wife and as a muslim man, I would tell him that he has failed and hurt his wife and God will judge him on that and the fact he obviously LIED to you about his family accepting. Let him ponder the fact he lied and how God will judge him on that and you were never given a chance.

  4. Yes mine is like that!!! Egypt is the best and egyptians are the best HAHA. We went back the first year and now that helps his mother not cry anymore. She was upset for first 3 or 4 months and always cried on the cam. Then we started planning our trip so she could count it down and she got so happy. He got here March 08 and we visited March 09. Now she is happy all the time because we are planning to go again this year. Last year when we visited Egypt it was so great. I was the one crying when we left and he was laughing. He never cries... I think he is not human. Oh yea, He is Egyptian and tough. HAHA

  5. Well my first few months with my husband was horrible. Not from him but from me. I took a Depo shot for birth control that I had never done before just a few days before he came. Im not good at remembering so my mom put me on this shot. It made me crazy, I hated him and everyone else. I told him everyday that I didnt want to be married to him and wanted him to go back to Egypt just for no reason at all. I cried and cried and was depressed for no reason. I had never lived away from home so that was stressful but this shot made me crazy!! I was almost suicidal at times. It was so bad it didnt take long for us to figure out what was wrong. It takes 3 months to wear off this shot. We found Depo shot horror stories all over the net but it was too late. So here he was in small town USA with a population of 30,000 in the hills of Kentucky. He learned to ignore my moods and hang in there and count the months this shot would go away. I would be so mean and he would be so sweet, then I would cry and say whats wrong with me. I think in a way, it helped him to adjust because he was definitely having to hold me together. He had to be the man of the house with no help from me because I was a mess. I was always sick feeling, or mad, or nervous or sleeping, so he did everything. He got his drivers license quickly. It did take 4 months to get to his work permit and find employment, this part was hard for him. My shot finally did wear off thank god, and my sanity returned. If he didnt leave after all that, he is staying for the long haul I believe. He would just get mad at my mom every time I would go crazy instead of me. I would tell him to go back to Egypt... and he would look to my mom and tell her he was going to kill her for giving me that shot. HEHE. Now its been a year and we are going to visit Egypt next month to see his family. He has been on the computer alot this past year, talking to his family all the time. He works all the time and I go to school we just make the most of the time we are together.

  6. I would just drive him crazy right back , when he asks crazy questions that he knows you dont know. Ask him crazy questions right back.. like why is one minute in Egypt really mean 30 min or 1 hour? or how much is a bmw in Egypt? or where is the cheapest gas in Egypt? or How many Egyptians immigrated to the usa this year?or What cities do most Egyptians choose to live in here and Egypt? or how much does Egyptair pay for lost baggage?

Thank god my man is totally on his feet, he got his permit right away and my mom taught him to drive and he passed his test right away, now he is working 2 jobs and gives me shopping money.

  7. FYI Amr went to a medical review for his k3 visa before going to the Embassy. He paid money to get all his shots up to date according to the embassy. They did xrays, blood work, gave him a shot, and filled out the paper and put in the sealed brown envelope. I always wondered why the sealed envelope... Now he is in the USA and goes for the AOS interview to get his green card and thats when the sealed brown envelope appears again. GUESS WHAT THE FORM SAYS SIGNED BY THE DOCTOR HE WENT TO THAT WAS REFERRED BY THE EMBASSY. It says that his shots are not current and didnt have any checked but his old shots. Now he has to go to the doctor again here and get all those shots again!!!!!!! I hope it dont hurt him to have MMRs again etc and cause him to be sick. I cant see that it would be good. The doctor checked on the embassy form that shots were not up to date. So he paid money for nothing in Egypt..........The doctor knew why he was there, he gave him the form. He is the embassy doctor listed to go to, so he should know he is there to have everything required.

Which doctor was it from the list in Cairo? My wife to visit one last week just for a pre checkup, since she wasn't feeling well it cost her $50. She use one from the approved list a lady doctor that teaches at the University, now she wants to charge $300 for the required medical + vaccines. Just curious.

His name was Amr something... His name was Amr too

  11. I think they might ve forgotten they have the passport!! wait n sooner or later they will realize they have it!! im so sorry u re going thru this insha Allah everything will be fine khalas ure at the last step  hang in there!

Sign up for DHL tracking online and see if they are delivering it. He should have the DHL receipt number to track it. If that dont work then call your local Congressman and they can contact them directly for you and advise them they have his passport etc.

  12. Call free to USA home phone or cell for free. You have to use your computer and download www.oovoo.com

I wish i knew about this earlier, as my guy had to keep getting credit to call me and we could only talk for 2 min.

Now that he is here in the USA and found out about this, all his friends and family call our house all day and they talk and talk. You cant call from USA there, it is calling into the USA or Canada. So tell your guys to download this and call you tonight for free. The sound is great. When I answer the phone, his brother sounds like he is next door, instead of in Egypt on a computer.

  13. Hi all,

My husband and I are gathering the papers we need to file the I-130/K-3. Our friends and family have written affadavits for us to help us prove a bona fide relationship.

My husband is in Alexandria, Egypt. He is trying to find a notary to have the affidavits signed. We have discovered that is no easy task.

Is there anyone out there in Alex that has had their affidavits notarized? If not, is there an alternative to the notarized affadavit?

    Thanks,

    Linda

I dont think you need that kinda stuff notorized to prove relationship. We didnt send anything like that, just a few photos and emails that dated way back, and my mom wrote a letter stating she was there when we married. At the interview is where you might need alot of things to prove relationship, but they didnt ask him for anything to show at the interview either but some people they do. Have you been to Egypt many times, that for sure helps. Phone records prove it also.

  14. I have checked all the different forms, nothing specifically says A number is.....

I checked on his visa, there is nothing with an A, on the i 94 there is no number with an A.

on the I 130 approval there is a receipt number but it doesnt have an A

on the I 129 F approval notice, there is a number in the block with Beneficiary's name that has an A089 462 etc just above his name in that block. Is that it??

  15. My husband is on a K3 visa. It asks for an A# and he didnt get one or we dont see anything with an A number, it asks for a ss number and he cant get one until this part is completed. On the I 485 part 3 it asks for a nonimmigration visa number. Where do we find that. There are 3 different numbers on his passport visa, and it doesnt say which on is the non immigration number, or do we even have one yet?

On the I 765 for form my question is on part 1 it asks for name and Which USCIS office with a date. For What? What is it asking me? Which USCIS office i am sending this to? Do i put Chicago lock box, or what?

    ?

  16. well the other day me and my queen were talking about the halal meat in USA

she lives in Granite falls , NC so we have to go to Charlotte to get the halal meat its about two hours far from her home

she was so upset when i told her i can't eat your meat or chicken or turkey........

cause I'm Muslim i can just eat halal meat . and she really loves the Egyptian meat more than the American meat . now i have some bad news about the Egyptian meat :-

last week An Egyptian butcher has been arrested for selling donkey and horse meat and passing it off as beef, press reports said on Wednesday.

the arrested butcher used to pick up dead or sick animals from canals, swamps or garbage dumps in the Giza area near Cairo, popular with tourists visiting the Pyramids.

He then skinned and cut to disguise its source and sold it to a frozen meat vendor for 5 Egyptian pounds (0.90 dollars) per kilo.

The vendor reportedly mixed the meat with spices and potatoes, added a chemical substance to cover up the smell, and sold it for 20 Egyptian pounds per kilo to individuals and fast food restaurants.

the vets says its kinda hard to know the different between the donkey's meat and the cow's meat

i was thinking maybe if you start to bray or to kick it will be very good sign that you ate donkey's meat LOL

thanks GOD cause I'm almost vegetarian and i don't like meat so much and i don't like the liver either

my egyptian husband, checked before coming here to usa, and we live far from any hala grocery stores. They told him that meat is imported anyway like Mcdonalds in Egypt, when you eat there, it is imported and not hala meat so he eats here any meat except pork.
