You need to upload the entire return including all the forms.  You can break it up until smaller pieces.  Just make sure you name them properly.  E.g.,  Last Name 2020 Tax Return Part 1, Last Name 2020 Tax Return Part 2, etc.  Any logical naming will work.  You can use the form names.

 

If your return is in one large PDF, you can split it into parts using available tools.  I use FreePDFConverter.com.  It will only do 1 task per hour for free, so I signed up for $6 a month because I have had a lot of PDF work to do with selling a house and visas.  There are others but I found this the best deal last year.  Here is a screenshot of what it will do.  Very easy to use.

Following this because I am having the same issue! I'm wondering if we can split them into 2 PDF's and name the file very specific as to what it is?

Hi everyone - We are getting ready to submit all the forms and documents for my husband's green card to the CEAC site. I'm unable to get tax transcripts because I had to amend my 2020 return. The issue I'm having is the file is too large even after I compress the PDF. Does anyone have any tips? There are so many pages to my return but am I able to only upload the 1040 or do I need to submit the entire return? Any help is appreciated!
