The evidence you listed looks good. I like the fact that you have evidence from before you got married. If you have health insurance, I would add that. If you are both employed, I would then add each other as emergency contacts at work.

My only question would be how she became a US citizen. If it was through marriage, you want to make sure that it was long enough ago. Otherwise, USCIS may have questions. (I do not know how long, though. It might be 3 or 5 years.)

    Thanks for replying.

I have insurance but that's for international students so I cannot add her to that insurance policy. And, for her, she has Medicaid so I could not be added to that.

She had her 10 year GC through marriage to GC holder and that marriage was back in 2004. But she received her GC in 2012. However, her N400 was actually based on she's being GC holder for 5 years. So I don't know if that would matter as she became citizen based on 5 years rule. And we got married after 1 year of her divorce. However, she was separated for like 2 years or more and also had order of protection against her ex husband for like 2 years.

  2. Hey

I got married in July of 2020, and preparing to apply for AOS in coming months. My wife and I have age gap of about 13 years, and she is being older. I am 25 she is 39. I have known her since 2015 while she was married we were just friends and I used to give her a ride as she does not know how to drive. But, in 2017 she was separated and in 2019 she got divorce from her ex husband. I helped her through as she is also an immigrant and does not have really good grasp of English. And we got closer and we moved in together in Jan 2020 we were in relationship before that. And later married in July 2020. So and below is what I have for evidence of bonafide marriage.

-- Lease from Jan 2020 through May 2021 from Apartment 1

-- Lease from May 2021 through May 2022 from Apartment 2 with both of our name including my step son who is 13 yrs

-- Both our names on Electric bill. Internet bill was on her name.

    -- renters insurance

--online bank account with both of our names however that's not the primary account we use we use that just for savings.

    -- 2020 joint tax return

-- some photos with my family as she does not have any family here. and other photos that's mostly selfies for both of us when we go to park or sometime at home and in the car

-- My name as an emergency contact on step son school

    -- Sam's club membership

-- She is an authorized user on my Credit card which she uses regularly.

-- have some call records that dates back to 2017

We do not have any wedding photos as we got married in COVID times and courtroom did not allow anybody in not even a witness.

-- she knows my family very well

-- I did buy her a wedding ring but its made out of gold so she doesn't really like to where unless we are going to meet our family for some function. And I don't wear it either as I don't like wearing stuff on my body.

she does not speak fluent English however she was able to pass N400 interview. So, if I were to have interpreter at AOS interview does that look bad? We do have common language that we both speak. And another thing is she is Muslim, while I am non practicing Hindu, and converted to Islam but has not changed name yet.

What else can we have that would be useful while I apply for AOS in upcoming months?

    Thanks for your help
