  1. My father has offered to be my co-sponsor on the affidavit of support I-134. My question is this: Do I need my step mothers signature on the I-134 when we have it noterized, along with his signature? Or is it not needed, I will only being showing his income from tax returns and using his W-2's etc. not her side of the financials (they filed jointly during the past 3 years).

No, her signature isn't necessary. My brother-in-law was our co-sponsor and he filed together with his wife, and she didn't sign nothing.

    Good day

    Thank you good sir =)

  3. Wow, I didn't know there was anything like a military expedite...I always thought all petitions will be processed in the order they are received by USCIS. Good luck to you.

Only to those deploying, wish I had known about this before I did my deployment! But then again... we hadnt met yet

Good luck to you, hope your deployment goes smoothly and you come back well.

  4. My father and my step mother have both agree'd to be co-sponsors, but recently she has left the house on bad terms and I'm currently waiting on my NOA2. I'm waiting until after the new tax season to send in my request for tax information, my question is:

If they filed jointly on their past tax's then do I need both of them to sign the I-130? And both give W-2's + Tax return info? Or can we simply state somewhere that he is going to be the sole co-sponsor and then write down his half of what he made on the I-130? My SO is urging me to get her signature too, but this lady is a little flaky and I'd rather her not be a part of the process at all :help:

Your father can be the sole co-sponsor but along with the tax transcripts you will need to have copies of his W-2s so that they can see how much of the income he is responsible for. For example on the tax transcripts is your fathers and stepmothers income combined, so the W-2 will distinguish how much of that is your fathers. I am pretty sure you need the I-864 and yourself (the sponsor) and your father (the cosponsor) will need to fill one out.

Thanks for the helpful info, I beleive its an I-130 I will be filing though, I have a k-1 petition.

  6. My finance is filling out the G-325A and were stuck on one of the questions "All Other Names Used (Including names by previous marriages) if there is None put None" ( I am the petitioner and my girlfriend is from China ) When she got her first I.D. from the Government they used the wrong last character for her name (her name is 孙颖蕾 translating to SunYinglei, last, first,no middle name) but the officer who made the I.D. used a different last character and what is shown right now is 孙颖雷, they both translate into SunYinglei but were afraid that if we put "None" in the question field and they see the difference (shes getting it changed to the correct character) than they may think we lied, or we may get an RFE. Should we put None or add an attachment explaining? Considering they both translate into the same rominization I don't think it will be a problem but I wanted to make sure, thanks!
