It took USCIS 1 month to send me the I-130 Receipt Notice. This delayed the I129F(K3) filing because you need the receipt notice from I 130 to file for I 129 F.
And USCIS approvals are for sure based on I129-F Notice dates, unless you tell them that you only file for I130 (CR1). So CR1 is a better visa than K3.
My I129-F was sent to Embassy but USCIS website still says "Case Pending" so you can imagine how accurate this website can be.

Thanks, Urge To Race, pushbrk,
Regrading K-3 to AOS (file-I-485) it takes 6 months according to USCIS timeline.
So K-3s one in the US cannot get a Social Security#? correct?
When we apply for I-485 can my spouse also apply for "Tempory Employment Authorization " ? Because if we get an EAD we can get a SSN? correct?

I have mobile phone service with Verizon Wireless and I'm having trouble text messaging (sms) to my wife's mobile phone in Siberia. I recently called Verizon and had them switch on international calling feature and I added the $3.95 per month international calling option as well. But I still can't send her text messages. I'm pretty certain she can sms to a relative living in the US so I don't know if it's her phone service or mine that's the problem.
Anyone have some help or advice to offer? thanks!
Hi,
I have been calling and sending SMS to my wife for the last 5 years in Siberia. I have T-Mobile and don't know what company she have. What I do know is both T-mobile and phone system in Russia use GSM and SMS is instant. Sometimes I even travel in the US/Europe and she text me and those are SMS are instant.
Maybe Verizon got CDMA which may have an issue with the gateway to GSM. Try a GSM phone (Cingular, T-mobile) and see if it works.

yes
Then yourcase should have been forwarded to the embassy. Try check embassy website appointment schedule. It may show up there.
Could you please post your time line. What date you got K3-approved?
Thanks.

sorry I mean when they are sending the case to the embassy
thanks
Does your NVC letter has a number with the three letter code for the consulate?
-
Hi all,
Does anyone now how much money (cash) should be in a bank statement when we show statements at the interview?
Do you know if the embassy or NVC do a credit check to see loans, mortgages etc?
Thanks

looks like people who got touched last week but case "pending" on the website may get hardcopy my mail soon becaue I saw some folks in May filers forum had same situation.
Thanks for all you guys for valuable comments.

Yes they are decresing but the people who applied in Late April and Early May are stuck without any approvals....this is so typical of USCIS. What about the folks from VSC...back in April their applications came to CSC an still waiting but now VSC approves in 3-months....
One week they approve a whole bunch and then they sleep again..... and when they wake up and approve again they do not start from where they left off so always an unlucky bunch get stuck....

Hi,
I did some analysis of approval data and please take a look at the attachment.
It looks like, approvals are based on I-129F NOA1 date and not I130 NOA1 dates. You can see that when approval date is increasing, I-129F NOA1 dates are increasing orderly fashion even though I-130 dates are all over the map.
However, gogo, iray and me are stuck in the middle and June approvals are coming too.
-
There was another approval last week that we can count towards the timelines from NOA1 in June.

Hi All,
Looks like no approvals this week.......
Could there be a link between CA fires and huge surge in approvals last week?

8:18AM Update : Due to a problem accessing our system, you would have to call back later...
Hi gogo,
Did your Touches are due to a phone call?
-
Looks like there are not too many or any approvals this weel......
-
Great!..Congratulations!
-
Hi,
Good Luck for those who got approvals in your next phase.
Looks like most people in this forum from April got approvals. I guess this forum is a small sample but most of you got approvals so prbability is that last week they approved a whole bunch of cases.

Yes Way over 180 days.....I see one approval from May/June so I hope we won't be left behind to be picked up later after Senetors' intervention.!
Wife's new passports
in K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
My Russian wife got a new passport as weel but before we applied I-130. Also since we have been married for 5 years and lots of traveling (due to this priority date mess with green cards etc.) she had to change 2 passports both previous ones with my last name.
Also my wife told me that there is a special passpot catogorty for Russian citizens planing to immigrate to other countries. I'm not sure about all the details. Something to look at.
So I do not think this passport number is an issue but you need to give all the previous passports to embassy at the time of the interview.
