  1. Its strange and funny at the same time, the way our feelings and dreams are tested. Accepting the fact that your loved ones is not as important to your country as a foreign worker, makes one doubt the values that this country is imposing. Perhaps it's just autumn weather acting up but doesn't it seem that every time you see your other half and get separated, to just come back and wait, it becomes harder and harder?

I wish everyone best of luck and pray that everything gets better for all of us! After all, it always does! :)

  2. USCIS .....Keep em coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starting to look like they caught up to the other backlogs and now they are catching up to our backlog!!!!!!

I'm not sure why you have reached that conclusion but I hope you are right.

The Iraqi approval is irrelevant because it is a special situation. The news that you and some others have been told that your petition is on someone's desk is encouraging, but I am not going to get too enthused until I see a nice steady pace of approvals. Hopefully that will start real soon.

I agree with Bill. We had a dead week and until there is a steady progress in processing time, being too excited is a bit premature but not necessarily a bad thing. :)

  3. As much I want to have things speed up and us to be reunited, I wanted to ask an attorney whether it would be advisable to have a Congressman involved. I am pasting the answer I got back below; I do realize that everyone's case is different, hence do not take it as anything more than just information. :) In my case, the Congressman's name is Barney Frank.

    ------------------------

Unfortunately, you and everyone else who filed a fiancee visa petition are missing

their fiancees. So you can try a call to Barney Frank's office, but I can tell you right

now that because your case has only been pending for 4 months, there isn't anything

they're going to do for you. I think it is much wiser to hold off on asking for Barney

Frank's help in case you need help from him later. Embassies are known to do crazy

things, and we may truly need his help then. So my advice is try to be patient, and

not call his office right now.

  4. We´re may fillers, and we got our NOA1 on june 1st. and still nothing, even no touch. We´ve to wait until all people who had gotten their NOA1 on april, gets their NOA2.

But it´s beginning to be unfair, we´ve been 102 days, and once we get our NOA2 we will have to spend another 3 plus months (more or less) till I get my Visa..., this is not fair at all. Here in my country is the opposite, people who marry gets their Visa days or weeks after (and I´ve to say that this is NOT the best way too, because we have a lot, lot of problems with massive immigration due to this). I think it has to be a third way to make this things, not give our visa in 1 week but neither in 9 months

Whatever....lets hope this week will be better for all of us.

What's funny is that we both got our NOA1 on June 1st, however if your timeline shows estimate of Sept. 25th, mine is showing Oct. 1st. I think that algorithm used to calculate the time is not quite accurate. :)

Don't loose hope and look at the bright side - the time has not stopped and everyday you get closer to being with someone you love!

    Good luck!

  5. Congrats for the people who got approved!!!!

I just checked the processing times at vermont, before it said february 13 not it says 6 months  WhaT? I don't get it.

Petition for Alien Fiance(e) K-1/K-2 - Not yet married - fiance and/or dependent child 6 Months

I think it's USCIS's easy way out. This is madness!

I just called VSC, using the RFE Trick, No help :( They told me they don't check case status there...haha! It seems that the RFE Trick doesn't work for me....Can you tell me what is the first thing you say to the person who answers the phone!?!?!?! haha! Maybe I'm saying something wrong.

After that, I called USCIS, since they updated the website and now it says 6 MONTHS, they told me it is going to take 6 months from today......Whatever, I'm done with this.....It is really annoying and sometimes I just want to give up and forget about all this.... :crying:

    --MIRLA.

Same here, I just called in, and was told that request to have an inquiry into the case status cannot be done until 6 months of the date they received the file. I think it really all depends who one talks to; as always, they have no consistency... This is absolute rubbish! :protest: :protest: :protest:
