Hello VJ fam,
I’ve been doing a lot of research and asking many questions and I’ve been getting different answers. I got DQ’D in July with 2020 tax returns. I’ve read the i864 is valid and good for one year. Turning to the forum to see if anyone had personal experience to share.
1) Do I need to update my i864 before the interview? If so I have a sponsor that will assist. Do I have to submit sponsor i864 to CEAC before interview or can beneficiary just bring it to the interview? Also, struggling with getting a tax transcript with sponsor. Sponsor has 2021 tax return and can provide pay stubs. Is there anything else?
thanks for your time
any personal experience advice would be much appreciated

Our case is IR1 - DQ'd since May 2022, still waiting for interview letter. Join the US family visa Abu Dhabi Telegram group, you might get answer to your questions there!
I’d love to join! Any way I could get in invite?

Thank you for the response. Is there any way you could reach out to the embassy in Abu dhabi?
Also, what is your priority date?
I was going to try. I live in America so time difference is hard. Also no priority date as I am the us citizen. Visa is always available for us.

We have been DQ’d for a Cr1 interview since July. No interview yet either 😔 looking for more insight.

Hello VJ family,
I got a message on CEAC and an email saying that I am DQ'd however I was missing the front page of the passport. I submitted it the same day I got the email but it hasn't been accepted yet. Am I really DQ'd or is there a glitch and im back in queue again? which would be super frustrating as it would be the 3rd submission. I'm human it happens but just wanted to clarify.

No income for 2021???
yes, you are going to need a joint sponsor
Joint sponsor needs to fill out I 864a , provide IRS transcripts for 2021 and any W2, 1099 or 1099 R as Casa now demands those along with IRS transcripts
i would also think a letter of current employment would help like current salary , and start date and last pay stub as it shows YTD income
I had income for 2021 but caught covid at 39 weeks and gave birth in October. Didnt return to work as I came to live with my husband abroad with our new baby.

you will need to be prepared with a joint sponsor:
The joint sponsor will need to fill out for I-864 and provide tax transcripts and may be W2s (If they filled taxes as MFJ)
NVC accepted your AoS with the 2020 tax transcripts. The CO during the interview is who decides, and they will most likely ask for updated forms.
thanks you are always a great helper

Hello VJ family,
Im again coming to you for help. All my documents were accepted but I was missing one court record which I just submitted last week. I had uploaded 2020 tax transcript which was more than enough to cover my affidavit of support which was accepted. I recently filed taxes and didnt work all of 2021 as I added an addition to our family late in the year. Now I am currently a little below the new poverty guidelines for a family of 3 but above for a family of 2. Im waiting for us to be DQ'd and for them to set an interview. However I am worried about my tax situtation and what or if they will need more financial information. If I need to have a sponsor would providing their tax transcript be enough or would I have to prepare another affidavit of support? Would I need to submit for a sponsor even though they accepted my tax transcript for 2020? Anyone in this similar situation? please advise

First of all get the needed criminal report from dubai before he leaves if u have not already submitted it
second Moroc has 2 reports
1 for driving record even if he has no license and the other a criminal report to show no offenses
- Police certificate (fiche anthropometrique) and English translation
- Court record (casier judiciare) and English translation
and really no delay as u aren't dq'd yet and u can transfer as he is Moroccan citizen
thank you so much JeanneAdil I appreciate your advice

Hello VJ family,
We are currently at the NVC stage and NVC accepted all our documents but sent a message saying we are missing a court document from Morocco.
My husband is an expat here in Dubai and his residency expired so we figured its best for us to move back to Morocco to obtain the document. I was wondering what I have to do to transfer my case, and since we are not DQ yet, will there be a delay in case review? Will they send the packet to Moroccan Embassy when we are DQ'd or it will be before we are DQ'd? Please advise on what will be best. Thank you so much in advance.

I am a citizen and I had to show proof of travel within 2 days to get an appointment at a field office where they printed my passport right away.
you can try looking for an acceptance facility in your state and contact them for an appointment if you have travel within 2 weeks. There are major acceptance facilities in LA or San Diego. I hope this helps.

That doesn't really answer the question. Do they guarantee acceptance or do they guarantee approval?

Accepted or approved? Accepted is easy - just mail the correct version of the forms with the correct payment, even if they are full of mistakes. As far as I am aware, 100% get NOA1. If the guarantee is 100% no RFEs or 100% approval, then maybe it's worth something.
I used their service and I followed their instructions to the T and I didnt get any RFEs and my i130 was approved. So im just passing it on to help the next person. I liked them so much that I even filed my i864 with them. Its really straightforward and easy to understand.

I used citizen path to file for my i130 and my i864 really good pricing and pretty straightforward with the questions. also 100% guarantee that it will be accepted.

I submitted my 1-130 petition in 1-11-2021 and received NOA at 4-11-2021 from national benefits center (later emma told me i am with California service center) and i surprised that it didn’t go to texas or nebraska since i am a citizen
submitted my k3 visa at 17 dec (from 70 days) and the status from then case received no ( actively reviewing or other) and it’s at california service center too!
I am so unlucky but i want to know can i do anything to accelerate the process for i130 or k3 ?!
I am a USC and my service center was California as well even though I got my NOA1 from Potomac. I sent my i130 in April 2021 submitted a k3 in October and my i130 was approved in November. Now im currently in the NVC stage.

Ah okay, I understand.
You've got quite a wait ahead of you. NVC currently takes 95 days to review (https://visawhen.com/nvc), so you're looking at 2 months for that, and then afterwards the best estimate is 3-6 months for interview (this is based on my lawyer's feedback, and what I've gathered from different forums on the internet. It's most likely closer to 6 months than to 3, but it's impossible to say. The interview step is the least transparent of them all
Hope this doesn't ruin your plans too much. I know how frustrating this process is!
Thank you for the advice. I was actually surprised at how quickly USCIS approved of our i130. Our service center was California and based on USCIS website it says that it'll take 14+ months for approval but we were approved in 7 months without an expedite. Its just so random I guess. Im hoping it'll be just as fast here too! crossing my fingers.

Just noticed your visa category, not sure about that one, the 6 months is for IR/CR1 which generally has the highest priority.
Officially I don't think there's a difference, but if you see the times it actually takes, there seems to be a big difference in people applying from Iran/iraq/Afghanistan etc where there's no local processing of immigrant interviews I recommend you join facebook groups such as NVC & USCIS group you can find other people in similar situation there and the admins are quite responsive as well.
You could try to expedite the case, if he doesn't have anywhere else to go it might work. When did you get DQ'ed?
I didn't get DQ'd yet. I submitted my documents just last month for review. Thats why I was wondering what the timeline was, I know that as a USC I dont have to wait for a visa to become available. just wondering about how much longer id have to stay in UAE is all.

NVC takes about 3 months from submission, you can track it here: visawhen.com/nvc
And then it's another probably 6 months for the IL once you're DQ'd (assuming you're Abu Dhabi and a UAE resident), so sadly it's still a long wait
Well my husband is a resident here and his residency just finished so I was wondering what I could do to help speed up the process. I am a US citizen here on a visitor visa because I wanted to be with my husband for his interview.

How long did it take for NVC to review your documents? CR1 here for my husband and we submitted all documents in January. I was wondering how much longer I have to be stuck in UAE before I can return to America. Im hoping not much longer. Can anyone give me a timeline?

Hello VJ family,
for those who recently entered America have you received your green card? How long did it take? Is there a way to track it?
