  1. UPDATE:

Done with my interview today in less than 10 minutes. It was just a breeze. The IO only asked me for my green card and went through my paperwork. I aced the 6 questions and the written test. Then, she congratulated me and handed me my oath-taking schedule which will be on July 2nd. That's it!

Congrats! So it took about one year? I mailed mine today.

    Thanks. Yep, pretty much.

I am still waiting, I made an appoiment with my local office 2 weeks ago and they said that "everything is ok", "you have to wait" "your papers are in texas yet".

    N-400 Timeline:

    Service Center: Texas Service Center

    CIS Office: West Palm Beach

    Date Filed: August 10, 2007

    NOA Date: Jannuary 15, 2007

    Biometrics Appointment: 02/06/2008

    Interview Date: still waiting

I'm sorry to hear that. Patience is really a virtue here. I hope you'll receive your interview letter soon.

Smartie it all depends on the center where you are sending in the papers and also on the local office...look at Baltimore, they are taking the oath there the same day w/ the interview...isn't that great? I understand that the processing at the national centers are way better now compared to 9 months ago...it is up to the local offices to catch up...Good luck to you!

    Crorona - CONGRATULATIONS!

Gaviria00- sorry to hear that... I've noticed from the other postings on this website that California was one of the most affected of the huge amount of applications, so they are working hard to stay within the promissed time frames... It's been and it still is a game of patience for all of us...

    Thank you, the2ofus.

  3. Thank you Crorona! Good luck to you at the interview on the 20th! I hope you are among the lucky ones that will take the oath the same day you pass the citizenship test..and that you don't have to wait months like me...

As soon as I have an answer on Monday from my local office I will post it here!

Have a nice rest of the week-end

Thank you. I really hope so. Please keep us updated on your end. It will be a great help to all of our fellow August filers.

  4. I think the August filers will be the next ones who will receive good news as the July filers are almost done with their interviews and oath-taking. I am getting anxious and at the same time mixed emotions for my interview on May 20th. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I know how everybody fields, because i am in the same boat, i send my n-400 on August 10, they received on 27, my FP were n febrery 5, and still waiting for the interview letter. I am in West Palm Beach, Florida, and I find people that filed their aplications in jannuary 2008 and the have they interview in May. This happend in Jacksonville, florida, This is unjust. :crying:

Hang in there gaviria00. I'm sure by now you probably have your interview letter.

I send my N-400 on August 11 @ Nebraska Office

Check cashed in on Oct 31st !!!!!!!! 3 MONTHS!!!!!!!

    FP were on January 14

Interview was in April 8...approved

No news about the date of the oath...they did say it will take between 4 and 6 weeks untill they will let me know

Any update? I hope you already had your interview done.

Congratulations!!!!! Hope my interview will be soon. I call FBI and they send my FP back to inmigrations on april 7, so i hope to heard soon about my interview

    Good luck, gaviria00.

I am getting ready to contact my local office.,..it's been 5 weeks since my interview and no notification for the oath..this is getting ridiculous!!!!

Good luck to you, too, the2ofus.

  5. :dance::dance: I GOT IT! I GOT IT! I GOT IT! :dance::dance:

I just went downstairs to inquire about something to the front office and decided to check the mail EXPECTING not to find anything as always and instead....

    MY INTERVIEW DATE WAS RIGHT THERE: MAY, 8TH 2008 H 8:40 AM !!! :dance::dance:

Needless to say I am beyond happy...Baltimore people and july filer (is there any left anyway?LOL :P ) there is hope!!!!

Thanks for all the good wishes!

    Congratulations, churipu!

  6. UPDATE:

At last, I've finally received my N-400: Interview Letter today, 03/27. My Interview date will be on May 20, 2008. Whoohoo!

    Congrats!

I am happy for the people who get approved but I also feel more and more frustrated... :(

I know what you mean, churipu...been there, done that. I had the same feelings as yours. It's just frustrating sometimes, but I guess we'll just have to deal with it. I hope you'll get yours very soon! Hang in there.

I know...don't get me wrong, I keep telling myself I was lucky afterall because my first good day to file for my N400 was the last good one to pay the old fees...then again i see people with interview dates who filed in JANUARY and I am like #######???

Oh well...this too shall pass... :star:

    Congrats again!

Yep, I hear you. I almost had a heart attack upon reading that some people, who filed way later than us (DECEMBER, JANUARY, or even FEBRUARY), are now getting their respective interview appointments. I mean, damn! How could that be? I just shook my head in disbelief...

  7. UPDATE:

  8. UPDATE:

At last, I've finally received my N-400: Interview Letter today, 03/27. My Interview date will be on May 20, 2008. Whoohoo!

COngrats!! so you most likely will vote in November, huh?

could you add your timeline no your signature here? and to the other forum too - i'm sure fellow Philly filer will appreciate

Thank you, Feliz. Yes, I will probably be able to vote on November, if things go smoothly. Let's see. Anyway, I've already added my N-400 Timeline in my signature. Thanks for the heads-up.

  9. interview date depends solely on Field (aka local) USCIS office (and of course FBI check) - so compare your priority date only with your own office, if you are behind then worry about name check

for example - you can find many cities progress tracking here: http://boards.immigrationportal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18

to find your Field Office by zipcode go here: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of....office_type=LO

Thank you, Feliz. The links you've provided are very informative. I also looked at the Philly District Office Timelines and it appeared to me that it would take me more or less until December 2008 to complete my N-400 Application. This is bad news to me :crying: I will not be able to vote on November.

  10. I've seen some folks here that they already have interview schedule when in fact, they filed later than me. Some filed on September, October, November, December 2007. And have their interview schedule squared away. Take note, they're also in Vermont Service Center. With this trend, should I be worried about not having an interview schedule yet considering that I filed ahead of these people? I can understand if they had different Service Centers than mine. But, for God's sake, we're in the same Vermont Service Center. I don't understand! :help:

The interview is held at your local office, so if they have a back-log then you will take longer to get a interview date than people whos local office is not so busy.....

    Kez

Thank you, Kezzie. You cleared my mind about this whole matter.

  18. UPDATE: It appears that the N-400 of Vermont Service Center is not moving from last week :(

    USCIS Application and Receipting Update

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) advises customers that, due to a tremendous increase in the number of applications filed, processing of fee payments and entry of cases into our tracking system is behind schedule. As a result, applicants can expect notices of receipt to be delayed. USCIS is working hard to deal with the increased volume.

Delay in fee processing and data entry will not affect an applicant's Change of Status or Extension of Stay eligibility if all other eligibility requiements are met. USCIS continues to process Premium Processing Service requests within 15 days.

USCIS will honor the actual date that an application was received in our mailroom; this date will be indicated on the receipt (in the Received Date box) when Form I-797, Notice of Action, is mailed. Until this situation is resolved, USCIS will provide these weekly updates on progress in issuing receipt notices to our customers. We appreciate your understanding.
