  1. Date she became a permanent resident = resident since date printed on green card.

The only exception is if she got her green card through asylum.

I don't know why her application was returned.

Her GC says resident since October 6th 2011, right?

She has only had 6 days outside of the US since that time, right?

What day exactly did she send in her application?

Her GC says resident since October 6th 2011, right? ---------YES

She has only had 6 days outside of the US since that time, right? ----------CORRECT.

What day exactly did she send in her application? ---------Jan. 30, 2015

In N-400 Application, Line #7: Date you become Permanent Resident: I put down, 11/14/2013, which was the date she received her 10-years GC. Should I put, 10/06/2011 at line #7 instead? Thank you.

  2. That's worded rather oddly... your wife is married a US citizen... is that you? You're the US citizen she married?

If so, look at her green card. It will have a "Resident Since" entry. Take that date, add three years and subtract 90 days.

That's the eligibility date. Don't apply a single day earlier than that.

This assumes that she meets all the other requirements (physical presence and continuous residence).

Note that on the day she applies, you have to have been a US citizen for 3 full years and you have to have been married for 3 full years. The 90 day early filing only applies to the residency requirement.

Her GC, "Resident Since": 10/06/2011. According to your explenation she met the elibility requirement for filing for US Citizenship.

But, Her N-400 was returned, reason: " .....You have filed your application more than 90-days before meeting the continuous resident requirement..."

Since 10/06/2011 she lives in the US continuouly, except two 3-days trips to Cancun and Jamaica.

On line #5 in the N-400 aplication, "Date you became a Permanent Resident": What date should I put here, the date she arrived in the US which was 10/06/2011 or the date which she received her 10-years GC was 11/14/2013?

  3. It appears for the past several months a HUGE amount of I-751's are being rejected as "the supporting evidence does not sufficiently establish that you and your spouse entered the marriage in good faith and continue to share a good life together".

I (Larry and Ella) submitted the deed (fully paid for) for our house in our names, sent the 2011 and 2012 12 tax forms, a joint check account for several months, two affidavits (notarized) Joint health insurance cards, joint auto club cards, deed in both names, insurance policy showing beneficiary credit card statements, etc, and a USB of pictures. My wife has over a thousand pictures with date and GPS coordinates in some cases,

USCIS stated: The evidence does not establish, in sufficient detail, JOINT OWNERSHIP of assets, Joint responsibility for liabilities, and/or an active co-mingling of finances "FOR THE DURATION" of the marriage. Supporting documentation must cover as much of the marital period as possible, and must also indicate joint financial responsibility and joint residency for that same period.

Larry: The key words appears to be for the joint and for the duration of the marriage.

So leases have to be rewritten? Cars that are already owned and paid for and you get a discount for being the original owner need to be re-titled, phone service, cable service, electric statements, and if you have any loans, must be in both names?

    Well, holy #######.

I had to send the entire bank statements for every month showing deposits or withdrawals on every account we had. Gee USCIS, do you really need to know I like turkey sandwiches at the grocery store?

What is so bad is that we both are almost joined at the hip we are so close to each other after 3 & 1/2 years of marriage and cannot possibly think of a time when we would wish to change that. She has her own car (hybrid paid for). We even have electric mopeds that we ride around. Her facebook page gets updates several times a week with new pictures. She really like pictures of herself or us, hehehe.

Anyway, If Visa Journey would like, I can scan my letter from USCIS. I did return USCIS asked for several months ago and still no word.

    Larry

What Is "a USB of pictures"?

  4. I brought my wife into the US with CR-1 Visa. She has two-year Green Card and it needs to be renewal in about 11 months. I seek information so I can prepare for the renewal and thank you for providing me with the information.

    My questions are:

Do I have to wait for the Immigration office to send me official letter to inform me before I can apply?

What kind of form do I need to fill out?

Anything else I need to do, please let me know.

Again, thank you for your help.

  5. You might be correct. I suspected the same thing because my cousin just sent in his package after paying his $404 fee about 5-business days ago and he and I tried to enter the NVC # and Invoice # a few times and the same message appeared.

    Thank you for your help.

Sounds like he might have transposed his numbers or something. He just needs to check his numbers again...

if he got an actual sign in fail because the case was complete he would have gotten a message that says something about nothing further to be able to do to the case. (meaning the case was closed and will be forwarded to embassy)

But his message sounds like he didnt put his info in correctly.

  6. My cousin applied for his wife's CR-1 visa. He was able to log in the NVC website yesterday, but today, he logged in the NVC website and got this message (below) and he asked me what does it mean? I applied for K-1 visa for my wife a few years back and joined the VJ forum. So I told him that I would ask this CR-1 forum for him. Thank you for your help.

The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered do not match our records. Please try again or click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you have forgotten your Case Number or Invoice Identification Number.

  7. "Xdog, may I ask why you havent see her since Jan '09? Does seem rather a long time, I can understand they are wondering why too. "

Sorry, Jan. 2010, not Jan. 2009

Financial constrains: I'm a divorce, have a mortgage, and child support payments, airline ticket costs ~US$1600 to South East Asia, total cost of a trip could be up to US$3000, job security (company currently laid off workers), therefore, work more off less, security clearance (visiting Communist Country, must notify and debrief when come back, visit too often, security clearance could be up for more reviews and revoke or cleared to a lower level, then no security clearance, no job).

I explained these reasons in a singed and notarized personal statement to the US Consulate Office when I was asked why I was not visiting often.

  8. Folks, I need your suggestions.

My wife's CR-1 visa has "been administrative closed" by the US Consular Officer. Reasons, not enough support evidences like I did not visit her since I applied for her visa in Jan-09, not taking enough pictures of both of us visiting places, not having separate engagement and wedding parties, duration of my visits were short (within 10days) etc..

Now what I need to do next?

    Thanks

  9. Please dont take this the wrong way, but everyone here has gotten thru, I have dialed up to 20 times and I get thru..if you are the beneficiary then have your USC spouse call...but seriously you can get thru...all of us have call early in the morning or very late at night...

I did get through in August and NVC told me that I should be hearing the interview date for my spouse in September for October interview date. September came and gone, nothing. I called and got through late September, now they said September was full. NVC said the same thing, October scheduling for November interview date. I called 603-334-0700 since last Wed., Oct 06, and I could not get through. I will try to call again but I'm afraid to hear the same message from NVC, November scheduling for December interview date:-(

i feel you in this Xdog.... what visa category are u? keep trying... hope youll get through them. just hang in there like us. goodluck and bless u
