  1. Hello all

Im sorta new to this forum, Ive been reading all those comments and advice for like 2 days and I found them really helpful. My husband is US Citizen, we got married last month in US. We had been engaged for almost a year before we decided to get married. I went to US on my tourist visa when we got married. After we got married, I had to go back to my country because I have to continue working. My husband filed for I-130 last month, on July 27th 2007 and it was accepted on July 30th 2007. He filed it to Texas Service Center. We havent got any news from them since then, can anyone tell us whats the approximate time to have it processed and approved??

I really miss my husband a lot but it seems that its too risky to enter US while the petition is still pending. I still have my tourist visa with me but I dont think it will be easy to get thru the immigration if they know im married to a US citizen and waiting for I-130 to be approved..

I really need your help...thank you very much ...we really really appreciate it..

Hi! You'll be fine!! Don't worry! We sent our paperwork July25th and only yesterday we got our NOA1..the NOAs are taking longer time now then the normal after the fee had increased in July30th.. Did you guys send check or money order? I'm not sure about your case, since it's spouse visa, but I believe that if you sent check you have the reciept number on the back.. do you have the confirmation that they recieve your pettition? I agree with you when you say that's better not to enter the US during the process.. I also have my tourist visa but I think it's better wait... Hard, isnt't it? Keep in touch! :)

    Dear Camila,

Thank you for encouraging ...now we still have good chance for that hehe ...Yes, he sent check and yes, we got the confirmation from the post office that they received our petition. Well, some people succeeded entering US while their petitions are still pending....I might do the same thing if this process takes a loong time, well, lest cross our fingers it wont! hehe ...but its just tormenting being away from your husband, isnt it? Anyways, did your husband file it to Texas Service Center too?..thank you Camila ...

Hi! My fiance sent first to California and it was transfered to Vermont.. I believe if we had sent directly to Vermont we wouldn't have such a delay to start the process.. anyway.. God knows the time for everything! :) that's really really not the most confortable situation to be far away from who we love and want to spend the rest of our lives with.. but I'm trying to see the good part of it! :) this situation more than proves a great love, don't you think? It's a difficult time we spend but I believe it'll strengh our love even more!! You're from Colombia, right? I'm from Brazil!! Neighbours, haan?!!! :)

  2. hello, to be able to help you, i will recomend to fill your timeline!! :time:

That's gonna be hard for you to get a number just calling them.. I heard some stories that they got but it's a chalenging thing to do! I think u r in time! My NOA1 arrived at my fiance's house 34 DAYS after we had sent it!! We sent in July 25th and we got the hard copy in August 28th! I know that sounds crazy.. it's not good to spend so much time without know that u are in the process! but you'll be fine, ok?

Hold in there fellas you are around the corner!

BTW I filled TSC but was xfered to VSC

    Regards,

    Josh

 CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That's really a great feeling, isn't it?? Now we can really feel we are in the process!! Mine was also transferred to VSC. Do we consider the time they recieved it or the date they send it back?

  5. I was always considering NOA1 the date I got my receipt number, but I guess it is the date "received" on the USCIS website which would be 7-18-2007.

    I still don't have a NOA1 Hardcopy yet...

Weedebz, can you change mine from 7/21/07 to 7/18/07 ?? Thanks!

Hi! Do you know a way to get the reciept number having sent money order?

  6. Hello All;

I am new to this board and am just beginning the process of applying for a K-1 visa for my Lady.

I have spent the last three weeks researching the process and paperwork necessary for the application

I believe I have almost all of the required documents, had some hand dilivered from Brazil last week by a returning friend.

My problem is reassuring my fiancee in Brazil that the process is ongoing and takes wuite some time.

She speaks virtually no English and I speak Portuguese enough for basic comunication.

I am looking for s web site that she can got to to have here questions answered by people who unnderstand her concerns and her language.

She is very frustrated and confused that i can get a visa to come see her in 2 weeks and it will take six months or more for her visa.

If anyone could help me out I would greatly appriciate it.

HAve you started the K1 process already? If so :time: here --- > Timeline

That's make it easier for you to ask for help with your process.

She can join us at the Brasileiritchas thread that Mononoke28 posted above the link.

    Good luck!

I have not started the process yet, still gathering the paperwork.

Thank you very much I think this link will help her to get a better understanding.

Hi! I'm Brazilian and I love a community from Orkut called: Visto de Noiva k1 (wich means Fiancee Visa K1). The girls are really awsome and everybody there is ready to help in all sense! answering the doubts or even when we are anxious about the process... they give us the best support! Where's she from? I'm from Belo Horizonte and she can email me if she wants: camila.colomarte@gmail.com

    Good luck! :)

  7. Well, I've got some friends from work in town for a few days so I think we're off for a nice dinner. Gee... I wonder what we'll talk about at dinner?

Contratulations guys!!!! :) wow!!! I can imagine how excitted you are!!!!! AWSOME!!!!

Camila... I'm sure that within a few days you'll have confirmation that they've got your package and you too are "on the journey" Hang in there... I know how you're feeling right now (just read my last ten posts). It's going to get better. Try to keep your mind on things other than the wait. Come in here from time to time and just let it all out to us... we're right there with you.

    Jeff

Thank's so much Jeff! :) u know how I feel.. Well.. I'm even more worried becouse I've seen a lot of people who sent the pettition after me recieving their NOA1.. Like you for example.. you sent July 29th right? We sent July 25th.. :crying: I was praying God and putting everything on His hands..including the date He wants us to recieve our NOA1.. but now I'm asking Him to deliver our NOA1 this week!! I hope He can do it for me!! :)

  8. I really love it here.... you know after all us July Filers all get married we're going to have to have a big ole' picnic somewhere (well somewhere warm anyway). Oh, did I mention...

    :dance::dance::dance:NOA1 ARRIVED, NOA1 ARRIVED :dance::dance::dance:

I'm so excited to be in the system... and to think I always hated Big Brother

  9. oh and as another note....thats a fair few of VSC's over the half way point of supposed 90days NOA1-NOA2. In 12 days time I'll be at the current CSC half way point!!!!!! Not too bad so far!!!!! My biggest worry is what if we book everything and then it goes kilt up and we get declined or something for some stupid reason. ARRRRRRG now I've gone and got myself all super stressed.

Hey, don't get super stressed... I know how you feel.. I didn't have a good day today and I must say that it was really really hard to work!! and I don't even know if I'm in the process, as we haven't recieved the NOA1 yet..... You're almost there!!! Soon!!! And everything is gonna be all right!!

  10. Camila...which SC did you file at?

Sorry weedebz.. but what's SC? I feel I'm kind of lost in this process.. that makes me nervous.. if you mean for where we send the pettition.. we sent it to Texas as we read before.. but someone told me that the correct would be to send it to Vermont... is that right? My fiance lives in Atlanta - GA

SC = Service center! Got it! Thank's!So.. we sent it to Texas.. but now I'm in doubt about what we should have done.. and what we're suppose to do now.. considering that we sent money order and bought it from the post office... we can't track it..another detail is that he didn't send it express... so.. do you guys think it's taking more time to get there and also to keep processing our NOA1 due to it?.. help??

First, please fill out your Visa Journey timeline. It will help us help you and will also help make the VJ statistics and projections as accurate as possible.

Texas will forward your petition to either Vermont or California, depending on when it was received. The fact that it was transferred will probably delay your NOA1. I don't know if this will also delay your processing. It depends on if the service centers sort the petitions by the date they were physically received or by the date the NOA1's were issued (i.e. Notice Date). We are going to try to get an answer to that question.

If you cannot track your money order, I think you will need to wait until you receive the hard copy of your NOA1 to know for certain that you are in the system. If there is a way to get USCIS to give you your case number over the phone, I am certain that someone will let you know how.

    Welcome and good luck!

    Thank you!!

  12. They received our petition in CSC on July 18th. Still no NOA1 Hardcopy.... anyone else having a long wait for the hardcopy like this??

Hi! It's the first time I'm posting here.. I hope you can get it! When did you send your petition? We sent July 25th and until now we have no idea how the process is going on.. we send as money order.. so we don't know if it was cashed..

From what I gather anyone filed mid-late july are having to wait quite a while for NOA1. It seems the SC's are bogged down due to pre fee increase rush. I just hope things speed up. By the end of this week I'll have taken the plunge and booked my wedding date!!!

Is there anyone else who filed mid-late july still waiting for NOA1?

I sent mine off on July 21st, arrived July 24th. I was issued my NOA1 on August 2nd, but i still have received NOTHING in the mail from them at all. I only know that I was issued my NOA1 because I called them.

And how did they give you the number? What did you say? My fiance called and they just say that we must wait at least until 45 days from the date that we send the petition..

  13. They received our petition in CSC on July 18th. Still no NOA1 Hardcopy.... anyone else having a long wait for the hardcopy like this??
