Just read your post here and i will answer it based on my experienced when i travelled back home to Philippines with my passport still in my maiden name and gc is in my married name...

You don't need your AP since u have your greencard with you now. What you only need is a passport in going out the country and or entering canada and when u get back u need both your passport and your gc..passport to clarify it is you and your gc to prove that you are allowed to comeback to U.S. and your a permanent resident now..

I read some people before prior to my travel to bring your marriage certificate just incase they will ask it..i did bring mine but they never bother looking it but if you like to be safe just bring it so that you will travel worryfree but be happy on your vacation.

I understand your situation and i know you love him so much that is why u like you save ur marriage and as a filipina we know we're not really into divorce. But, were here in their country and ur still young and pretty u can find someone who will love you deeply and will care for you. I believe in Karma just let him coz u dont know what the girl will do to him but the problem if he will do the same with that girl too when the girl arrives here in US

Just divorce him and move on and enjoy your life in hawaii :-)

Yeah, the things i've been stated for joint we can prove those that were living together for 2 yrs and until now and we just bought a house and transferred here 3 weeks ago so we will be including the lease of the apartment so that we can prove we are together. We have envelopes addressed to us together, a copy of our church or renewal vows when we went home to the phils.

For the car insurance it is only my hubby's name since i do not know how to drive yet and he already have it before we got married and we don't have any life insurance.

Do u think its just ok? the bills is all under his name but do u think the mortgage loan and the house is both in our names is just ok?

We convinced my sister to apply for a teacher here since i think this is the best way she can go here and be with each other again.

She is one of the best teacher in our country and its even the Department of Education who look and find her and ask to work for a teacher. She is a cum laude for BS major in physics and chemistry and we find out their are lots of hiring for US.

My question is...is their anyway we can find an agency to help us find a job to a particular states and place here in US? We like her to work just near in my place or just in my area so that its easier for her for the finances. She don't need to pay her own monthly rental for the house, electric and everything and can just drop her off and get her after work while she is still saving money for her own car and taking a permit and road test.

If you have any ideas and know some agency and if you have the same experienced for going here as a working visa i appreciate it a lot.

I looked unto this type of work before, applying in an agency to work as teacher in the US. This was year 2003. The agency had this particular state and school. Applicants could not choose the state they want to get into.

OK, thanks for the info..if she will be hired is their anyway she could transfer a state in the future? or if its the same state is it ok she can apply to other school within the state?

Thank you so much for all the replies here i appreciate it a lot. She can really go here in US and easy to apply a job if she wanted to coz we really believe she can do it. But, if she will do it she come here to work for a teacher so how can she help me in taking care of my kids if she will do it? and aside from that she is afraid to work here as a teacher in US coz of her co-worker who happen to teach here and end up doing suicide coz of the bad students here in US.

My husband don't like me to work coz of the baby so that's why it came up with this idea. I really wanted to go back to phil and work there but i know my husband have a point too. So that's the reason why i tried to ask all of you here with regards to this topic.

Getting my mother and making her migrate here is not really an option for now coz she can't help me in taking care of my child coz she easily get sick and don't need to work so hard coz she will have an attack so easily.

How about taking a scholarship for masteral here? so what she need is a student visa? if she will go to school during afternoon and night time and i will work in the morning? do u think it is a good idea?

I am a permanent resident here in U.S. and have kids..I am planning to get my younger sister to help me take care of my kids so that i can get a job here. I really want to work here in U.S. but my husband don't allow me coz so expensive to pay for a day care and we don't like to leave our baby to other people hands.

So, just recently i am thinking of getting a filipina maid since it is cheaper i know everybody will grab for 20,000 pesos coz its already free accomodation and food. So instead of getting other people i will get my younger sister.

I just have concern if this will be a big problem since she is an intelligent woman a teacher of a science high school major in physics and chemistry and graduated as a cum laude in one of the reputable university in cebu.

Do u think it might be a problem of getting her? What we need to do so that i can get her? what petition or papers we gonna process?

Hope to hear people who is knowledgeable for this and can help me on how to do this steps coz i really want to work and help my hubby even just a little and at least i will not worry about my kids.

i think i read this before coz my husband search this it is written by a foreigner who married a filipina their is a website that ung mga foreigner they are sharing and writing their experiences to how their filipina wives act.

its sound funny but i really know that its really true most. we filipino knows na mostly mga pinay come from the province is married with a foreigner talaga..but as what i read before they are not trying to make fun with their wives but they are just sharing how they adjusted and thought their filipina wives.

I just read your pose..if you like to used ur money that your family just give you both i think u can go to the philippines if you like. 2k roundtrip ticket for both of you is good and philippine peso 48 peso depending how much is the exchange rate per day 48-$1 so it is good if you will have 1k or almost 2 thousand left its just fine..

As other filipino reviewer u can go to places that have a nice beach that is less expensive. dumaguete, siquijor, cebu have lots of beaches to offer! Boracay and palawan is more popular but for your personality i think u prefer more to the places i said to you.

No worries i am a good filipina working in DFA and attouch to DOT in Cebu City and i graduated tourism so i know more..i just want to help people here with regards to their travel since i am good in looking prices and searching good deals. Hello J, all i can tell is try all the links they gave you and try some other agencies too compared their prices and number of hours of travel before you decide and the routes how many lay over u gonna make. I always do that way before i purchase a plane ticket.

Now, were going home to the phils. and I purchase the ticket separately i went to www.cathaypacific.com for my jfk-hkg-ceb and i purchase in delta airlines for my roc-jfk its pretty cheap and i get a good deal for this price since this route for hongkong is a very expensive route. The prices or this one in other sites is 2-3k per person and we only paid 1,209 +199 each for total fare for us.

Just try cathaypacific coz i believe it is jfk, lax and san francisco origin of destination that they have lower fares so i think u can get a good deal like what we get.

Thank you for the 4 of you who replied to my querry. Since my piercing is new my husband need to follow what piercer said to us that not to touch or move it until 6-9 months coz its not safe and prone to infection. He just dont like to have a prob in the future so just decided not to take it off and if it will bp the metal detector that the time we will tell them that i have a belly pierce and bring the paper to let them know not good to take it off.

My concern now, if they know i have a belly pierce is this be a problem in going back or entering here in USA? I heard from a friend that i can't or hard for me to go back or enter here coz of the belly pierce;-)

I am so happy to go back to my homeplace and excited but mix emotion of this pierce thing that makes me afraid i can't be with my two love one specially to my 6 months old baby:-(

Hello i just saw your post now..if you will be having your medical better stay in cherryblossoms hotel its near robinson mall and just 1 or 2 blocks away from st lukes u can just easily walk from the hotel.

I got the idea for this for the VJ people and i paid 1,500 per night before including breakfast for two. It amazed me coz they have lots of choices for their breakfast and if you like an atm machine is just right there if you like to go to mall to eat u can just walk robinson it just right accross cherryblossoms.

I got the idea for this in searching here in VJ and then post and ask it to VJ memebers and do research before i booked. Tell you i am just the only one who stayed in Bayview that is cheap compared to the others who stayed there and i have buffet breakfast included na.

I am a type of person that is particular of where i gonna stay and i did researched all this things na before and compared to the different agencies and direct hotel rates asiatravel is cheaper compared to all when it comes to Bayview.

I have yet to see small things like ear-rings set off the metal detectors.

funny coz the last time i went back to phil, i was one of the chosen one, to use the body scanner and was held 10 minutes coz they saw a metal on my lower left chest... which there isnt no metal at all... i was pissed w/ mix of nervousness that i raised my tshirt and showed my skin (to the officers and to all the people in the airport lol) to prove im not hiding something lol... they finally let go of me but it was scary knowing im not an american (although hubby was w/ me) and i really wana go to phil that time. lol
