i also believed that we submitted more then most people out there. it is possible that length of the relationship is the issue. everything happened really fast.

shes been thought a bad relationship once already. may be, they are looking at that as well.

sorry was using the word "denied". it is actually not denied. they need more evidence of ongoing relationship.

Lawyers are also telling us to write more personal letters, lots of emails, phone calls. they also mentioned that one more trip would really make the case stronger.

Our K1 was denied at Mumbai consulate last week and now I am heath-broken. It was denied b/c they thought “proof of relationship” was not strong enough and they needed more evidence. They gave her one year to submit more proof or the file will be cancelled. Please recommend something to me.

Below is the quick summary.

I am single and my fiancée is divorcee.

Referral: August 14th, 2007 (Phone and Email conversations started)

Met Via: Family Friend

First Met(person): 10th December 2007

Engagement: 14th December 2007

Return to USA: 24th December 2007

I-129F Filed: 4th January 2007

Her Interview: 22st July 2008

We submitted following documents for the “proof of relationship”:

1) Engagement Ceremony photographs of us and family members

2) Phone call lists

3) Email lists

4) Online chat conversations

5) Personal photos with each other

6) Greetings cards sent to each other

7) Ring, restaurant, shopping receipts

8) Boarding pass for my trip to India

Due to this, I am going to India on the 5th and coming back on the 21st. Our plan is to spend more time together, take more pictures with the family. Once I return, we will re-submit the file.

We contacted the lawyer and he also recommended the same thing.

My questions are:

1) Can I call NVC or DOS here and ask them what I should do and why I was denied?

2) Has anyone been though this and how did you deal with it?

I have been told that K3 Visa Holder DO NOT need I-131 since it is a multiple entry visa. is that true?

My spouse entered US on K3 visa and now we are filling out I-131 along with other AOS forms. I am stuck on I-131 Part. 2 (Application Type) Question. Following two will apply to me and it is asking me to check one:

a. I am a permanent resident or conditional resident of the United States and I am applying for a reentry permit.

b. I am applying for an advance parole document to allow me to return to the United States after temporary foreign travel.

which one should i pick?

1) Very first thing, I ______________, residing at……. do I put my Last name-first name-middle or First-middle-last?

2) Question 10, for spouse’s name ------ same question, last-first-middle or first-middle-last?

Should I just tell them that I will be sending in packet 3 or wait for a reply first?

I just called NVC and they received and forwared my petition to Mumbai Consulate today (Sept 19th). Guy even gave me "BMB" number over the phone.

I am so happy.

yup yup! mine is sitting on some pallet as well. guy told me that it will go out in few days and call NVC in two weeks to check on it.

He also told me that they hired some contractors to do the job and they are behind on almost all cases.

They need to hire Indians. We are fast and efficient.

Wait continues.....

NVC still hasnt received my i-129f packet from CSC. I feel like smackin' someone at CSC or NVC.

Do I put her maiden name or name after marriage? she changed her name and had the new passport issued after marriage. petition was also filed using her new name

Do I put her name here and date i-129f was submitted?

They haven't received mine either. Mine was approved and sent to NVC on August 18th.

no, NVC havent told me that they have received my case.

Last communication was an approval letter for i-129f telling me that they will forward the case to NVC.

My i-129f for K3 Visa was approved and forwarded to NVC on August 17th. My spouse is in India(Bombay) and she will be assign BMB number.

1) When will I receive my BMB number?

2) Who will send that to me? NVC or some other place?

3) How long does it take on an average to have that number?

i applied on Match 27th and i received my approval 797C on August 17th. I am planning to call NVC in two weeks.
