  1. Congrats!!! Time to plan her new life. Start studying a driver's manual and get her drivers liscense as soon as she can. Her time at home when you are at work will make her bored out of her mind.

  2. Everyone, tell your wives to eat all the dog while they are in Vietnam.

There was a steak place I ate at a lot that imported their beef and it was an aged steak. I forget the steak house name but it was next to windsor or something beginning with a W.

  3. Most of the vegetables my fiance cooks with are common...cucumbers, tomatoes, okra, onions and carrots. She will have to do her best to substitute the other things, like some of herbs and spices. She likes heat in her food so I will introduce her to jalapenos. I am pretty certain that she will like Mexican cuisine because it has many of the same characteristics of the food she cooked for me. We both love to cook so it will be another thing that we can bond over....maybe make a Mexican/Vietnamese fusion dish

My wife does not prefer mexican food. She said the cheese kills it for her. I like cheese but like many asian people we are lactose intolerant. Mexican rice is too different for her and she doesn't see anything special in soft tortillas. When she goes she likes the chips and salsa though. The only thing she eats at mexican restaurants is fajitas. My wife doesn't really like jalapenos, she said it's not spicy enough for her. She prefers habaneros over jalapenos.

  4. Thanks Curtis! No problem. The number you probably have is when I use to live in Oklahoma. I use a Houston number now. It's all good now. I am just happy all that immigration stuff is over with.

    We'll cross paths another time.

  5. eh - i think it started in Palacious circa 1974 after the first boatlift. Of that, I have personal, detailed knowledge - I stayed with families down there during my summers, working on the shrimp boats. There was some turf war for shrimping, but then it escalated. IIRC, all got settled round 1987, and the racism has settled down to almost 0, there.. But probably an isolated incident, albeit a big one (shrimping is big business in Palacious)

I wonder if all the non vietnamese nail shop owners are racist towards vietnamese people?

  6. :dancing:If you want to be happy for the rest of your life :dancing:

:dancing: Never make a pretty woman your wife :dancing:

:dancing: And for my personal point of view :dancing:

:dancing: Get an ugly girl to marry you! :dancing:

My wife is hot!! She's a 9, I am a 3 (being generous to my self). I know I am lucky as hell. I am lucky we are both catholics and have the same views on divorce. We built a big tree trunk with our marriage. Thats the key for us to be together for good.

  7. Those guys are trying to get some coffee money out of you... I got my mental test done in Houston at King Soloman also and those papers worked fine for me in Dong Nai. Maybe you need help from a dich vu place to grease the wheels.

Edit oops I seen it's been suggested...
