Thank you so much !

  4. 1. Are you referring to a visa for a foreign media representative under INA 101(a)(15)(I)?

    2. Are you presently in the United States? I don't believe you can use an I visa to enter the U.S. for the purposes of marriage.

    3. The only "90 day entry visa for marriage" that I am aware of is the K-1 Visa.

It doesn't matter what visa, if any, you use to enter the US for your marriage. If you're here, you can get married. What matters is the circumstances surrounding your "immigration". The visa that allows you to enter, and requires you to marry or leave within 90 days is the K1 visa. This visa allows you to stay and complete the immigration process after marriage.

Other visas allow the same, provided you didn't have the intent to immigrate when you entered the US. A tourist, or Jounalist who enters without the intent to marry then falls in love and gets married on the spur of the moment or receives a proposal from somebody they are already in a relationship can also stay and adjust status to permanent resident. (immigrate).

Again. Marriage is not a problem on any visa. Immigration is allowed only under certain circumstances. K1 is one of the legal ways to do it.

    THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!!!

i am curentlly in Romania but i will go to US soon with work .I have a visa for US on my pass that now is expired ...i got it last year and yes it is a I visa. I didn`t have problems , i came back on time ...i took the visa last year for a year but now its expired and i have to get another one to go back this year

AGAIN ...THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION !!!

Your response makes me nervous. I didn't say you could come to the US on an "I" visa, get married and then stay in the USA permanently. I said it was ok to get married. You would still need to know whether adjustment to permanent resident is allowed for I visa holders. I don't know the answer to that.

:))))))0 :whistle: Ok "Boss" ..got the ideea
