  1. Changing address is nothing complicated, well it might get only if you have a pending application, because they keep sending stuff to the old address for some freaky reason.

You can file AR-11 online. Just make sure you print a copy as a proof and have a confirmation number. Your husband cannot file I-865 online, but once he sends the paper version, he should got a NOA a few days later confirming the change. As my hubby says, change of address was one of the easiest things we did with USCIS.

And always keep copies of it-- and send through registered mail.

Thanks for the info..Please correct me if im wrong. What i understood is that i can file change of address online and my husband(USC) dont need to file anything,is that correct?I have one more pending case,i am waiting for my son's greencard on mail.

Btw,we are renting here and we have a PO box number for this apartment.DO i need to put the po box number instead of the physical address??

    thanks again

He needs to file an I-865 - sponsor's change of address form.

    Thanks.Can the I 865 be done online too?..god bless

  3. Hi guys and gals..

We got our greencard and we moved to a new place.Do we really have to file ar-11?The previous address is a permanent one.We all have our uscis address listed on my mother in laws home address..Just wondering if it is okay to leave it that way considering its a more permanent one.We are just renting an apartment right now.Can we leave the address as it is until we find a more permanent dwelling place here in the state?

    Thanks

  4. Sophie,

    Our deadline was the 21st.

I hope someone who had RFEs can share their experiences about how long the case resumed (if they knew) after their RFE response was submitted.

    Goodluck to us! :innocent:

Congratulations to those who already their GCs and receiving good news from the USCIS!

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On April 16, 2009, we received your response to our request for evidence

It takes 2 days for stuff to get there from where i live, so it was sent around april 14th, so it resumes right after you send it.

Hi we had an rfe too for my son's aos.Just wondering if you get a touch right away upon their receipt or have the status changed right away after they received the response..thank you

  5. Hello VJ'ers!!

I sent the response for the rfe on my son's aos with delivery confirmation. It says on usps website that it was delivered.I called uscis to check if they actually have it and get an update on his case but they said it still says they sent out the rfe. They didnt confirm if they have the response on it.I was told it will take 60 days to get a response or an action on our case.Just want to know the average time as to how long will it take to get an update ?Is there any other way to get an information from them.I just want to be sure that they indeed have it in their hand or should i just sit tight and wait until we get an update.

    Thanks.

  6. Thanks eric pris and nicknick.

We had our medical in the philippines. My son (12 yrs old) had his tst and xray in the Philippines and was referred to state health department here in US as well after 2 weeks upon arrival here in US.They wanted a tst and an xray here as well, which we did.The I 693 form that we sent only had the vaccination part of it.So i guess they wanted the whole thing on the form I 693.

    Once again thank you..

    God bless

  7. I got the rfe letter for my son's aos who came here under k2.It asked for a new form I 693 and a tst.We included the I 693 form when we filed the aos except he didnt have the tst then.My son had his TST last month and an xray too from the state health department. Is it okay to bring that to the civil surgeon and have him put the result in the form I 693?Will he needs to have another TST and xray from the civil surgeon???

BTw,the rfe letter has a pre addressed envelope on it.Do they really want us to put the sealed envelope from the civil surgeon to that pre addressed envelope that they send?(I dont think it will fit there  )Do you have to send the rfe letter back to them as well???..

Thanks..Just want to make sure i dont make mistake along the process...

  8. OK.EAD and AP approved.yehey..just waiting for the GC to get approve.Gos is soo good

my wish came true. :) after a long wonderful weekend at Hot Springs, Arkansas a bunch of mails were waiting for us. I got them all today. What a nice way to start the month. :star::star:

I hope everyone will have a speedy AOS too.

    Jamesnrei..

We spent weekend at hot springs,arkansas..if only i had known we could have meet up there..been raining a lot there though..hehehe..congrats..

  9. congrats to all the March filers getting news. This is truly a great board and resource.

I requested my AP to be expedited on Monday, and my status just got updated on the USCIS website today. MY AP has been approved and EAD card production ordered today!

USCIS is really working fast to get our stuff out! Keep it coming! I hope everyone will get news soon.

congrats to all EAD cards approval/production. i wish i'll have mine soon too.

may i know how did u expedite your AP?

You need a valid reason to expedite your AP. I did not requested for an AP expedite, but it's already approved and sent to me last April 27. In my application, i specifically indicated that i will be travelling back to philippines by June 15. I indicated the particular reason why i have to return.

oh, ok. I really dont have any reason for now. I just observed that most AP that were expedited had their EAD approval as well. What I really need is the EAD cos I so badly want to work again.

all you have to do is call. they do ask you for a reason (mine was family medical - actually same reason that i listed on my original AP application "proof").

Congrats to all who got their ead and greencard.IS there anyone who could give me the number to call to expedite my AP.I will give it a try .Hoping they will approve my AP and my EAD soon..Thanks

  10. You can take your NOAs (just in case) and also, I was asked for some ID with the new last name (state or military ID, local driver's license). But if you don't have it, I think your marriage certificate will be enough. Good luck with your biometrics!

    Thanks julianDavid!

I dont have any idea that reflects the change in name coz texas state wont issue me state id without valid i 194 or ead.Anyways,il just bring with me my marriage certificate and thanks for reminding about the noa.Really appreciate it.God bless

  11. Thank you so much.May the good lord bless you all.Jade_arb i really appreciate everything you told and checkin the place for sure.

    Wish you all well..

God bless and good luck to us all

You are welcome, I live a few blocks aw ay from the place :D

I googled Pittsburgh and it seems to be a great, small place! I mean living in Dallas is crazy most of the times!!

    Good Luck with your interview!!

  12. I passed my written test the first time, but am having trouble passing my practical driving test. :crying: Really hate driving here in Texas with all those big trucks practically driving right behind you!

Now my instruction permit is about to expire in two days and I still haven't passed my driving test. Just venting.. I think I've been a city girl for too long in Makati where the bus and jeep was always accessible and over here you can't get anywhere unless you can drive!

I don't suppose anybody here has taken their practical driving test more than 3x?

Thanks everyone. We live in pittsburg close to mt pleasant. The address is USCIS DALLAS NORTH 10051 WHITEHURST DRIVE SUITE 200 Dallas texas.Anyobe familiar with this place..

    Thanks again..God bless
