  4. hello my vj family, i just got home and i was in a hurry to share this good news :D we're approved and i got pink slip  yehey!

was up very early 4am actually i didn't even get to sleep last nite, i was wide awake, so excited and at the same time was a litte nervous and anxious about the interview!

5am took a cab and got there (u.s embassy) 5:45am, waited and then 7am was in line and got inside!

inside--- another line for your number, i got my number 7024 and waited again.

about 30 mins.--- saw my number flashed on the screen.

    my pre screner--- window 17, she was nice and asked me about 10 questions like;

    ---what's your name?---

    ---your petitioner's name?---

    ---how old?---

---i gave her my nbi and bc and phil's w2,itr and i-134

---i forgot the other questions hehehe  ---

and then she told me to proceed to the next window, window 16 for finger scannning---finger scanned!

waited again for about two hours i guess--- after two hours of waiting, number flashed again says room 30

while waiting for my turn, i was praying :D

    ---meeting the consul--- eto na

hes very nice, blue eyed guy, kinda bald, in his mid-40s, kept on smiling at me and asked me to raise my right hand,

    asked me my;

    ---name---

    ---petitioner's name---

    ---birthday---

and he was like "okay tell me about your love story" and smiled at me so i told him a little bit about "our love story"

and he uttered "oh that's wonderful, i want to see your pictures together" ---saw our pics and he was smiling and read all the captions

and i was blushing  and smiling :D when he told me "good looking couple" i said thank you :content: (payag na rin kayo  'wag na kayo kumontra)

and ofcourse te famous last words..."your visa is approved congratulations, wait for your name to be called and pay for visa delivery"

  5. Time has flown so swiftly. 3 months after receiving our visa my kids and I will finally be leaving our hometown, our birthplace, our family and friends. This will be my last post which will originate in Tagum City, Philippines... Congrats to all the approval, all the visa and all the happy reunions... Good success to all who are going for medical and interview soon.:thumbs::thumbs:

So far we have had 4 separate despidida (farewell party) already. One courtesy of our cell group in church (august 17), then one from the women's in our church (august 24), one from the kids teachers and classmates in school(august 29), and one held here in our house last night... now that I think about it, i am wondering if these people connived to make sure we do leave and not come back again that is why they planned so many different despidida :rofl: .

I have cried barrels of tears already and I don't wanna cry some more. so, last night, I tried cracking up jokes everytime someone would give their well wishes for us. For the most part, I was successful in turning a mushy speech to one tinged with laughter but some of the guest just started crying (the ones really really close to me) when they were about to leave... gosh, I hate it when somebody cries coz I can't help but cry myself... and jokes just can't stop the tears from flowing.

Tomorrow, me and the kids will be off to Manila so we could go to CFO on Sept 3.. then finally off to North Carolina on Sept 4.... but before leaving, I will still be meeting two of my closest friends who are based in manila. One is a cry baby so I am sure it will be another tear filled get together. As they both said, even if we don't see each other that much at least we are all in the Philippines, just an hour by plane away... yeah, they already made me cry from the first moment I told them we got our visa and we'd be leaving in a few months :(

My relationship with my fiance has survived, flourished and got stronger in the past 3 years inspite of the distance... I am sure, the mountains and the oceans will never truly separate me from my family and friends here... months and years of separation will never severe the family ties and the bond of friendship that I have forged with them for decades.

I hate goodbyes.... but I also welcome "WARM HELLOs"... and I know, though we are saying farewell to our friends and family here, we will also be saying Hello to our new family and new friends in N.C.

As one of my kid's friend said, it is not goodbye but "Au Revoir, till we see each other again.".. and kita-kits na lang sa friendster.

have a safe flight w/ your kids.

hope to see all of u soon here.

    madami na tayo...

    GOd bless

  6. My husband and I are soooooooooo happy!

Everything went smooth and easy (from passing the DS Forms upto finger scanning) til i reached the pre-screening. I thought the pre-screener was nice and friendly caz she started to greet me good morning. She then asked me to hand her the NBI Clearance, Marriage Certificate and Birth Certificate but then she became rude when she saw that the receipts were still attached to the papers. She asked me "why do you have receipts here? are you going to reimburse this papers?" but then i answered her in a nice tone "oh sorry caz i thought it is needed". The second thing she asked for is the Tax Returns (2007) and Affidavit of Support. She asked me on why is it the Tax Returns has only 2 pages. I nicely replied "that is what the IRS sent to my husband but i think the 3rd page you are looking for is at the back of the 2nd page" she looked at the back of the paper and never said anything. I was waiting for her to ask the W2s but she didn't asked for it instead she asked me questions:

congrats pink, alam mo that's what the pre screener told me, that i can't reimburse the receipt. hahaha. but anyways, you're done na sa interview.

next thing u know, your visa is coming to your doorstep.

    God bless..

  7. i don't want to add your worries but just to be sure , tell your fiance to send another affidavit of support through fedex.

coz that happened to me also , a month and half before my interview my husband sent the papers through USPS. and after 2 weeks i called our philpost about the package letter and they can't tell details about that. so after a month, i asked him to send another copies of affidavit using fedex after 5 days , i got it .and the others docs such as ITR,w7, employment letters,he sent a copy online and i just printed it out.

oh btw, they delivered letter notice for letter envelope to my house at the philippines when im already here in US . so while you still have time, do something.
