Hey there - We got an RFE asking for more documentary evidence of our "shared life."

We had sent a few bank statements and only one joint tax return - they wanted more.

We had also sent two affidavits, but no documentary evidence to back them up. So now we're sending them a deluge of emails between us and the people who wrote the affidavits, as well as photos of all of us together, documents from trips we've taken with those people, and so forth.

We've gotten two additional affidavits and are sending a lot of random "look at how we're a real couple" evidence. Emails and reservations for things and the like.

Any suggestions from anyone else?

Hi, no we didn't get a chance to call today. We're going to tomorrow morning. I keep going through the papers I sent and am trying to see what else I should send... A member in another thread that I had started gave me some good advice. He said since probably I had stated we purchased our house in 2010 and sent recent bills, the bills had our current address and not the previos one. He said I should send a few bills for every few months. We have put bills from the last couple of years together plus our lease from our old appartment. 2 things we're still contemplating is one the REF clearly states "do not send what you have already submitted for evidence". Should we send them again or don't... second thing is they sent us an envelope to submit our evidecne and it's a regular size envelope that it's difficult to get everything fit in it...

Also, did you send copies of your driver license... I read somewhere that some members had sent copies of their DL... we're going to add copies of our DL too.

I filed I-751 in first week of January and got the package back in first week of feb because i had not completed one of the fields on the form.I resubmitted the package in february first week .

I have not received any notice for biometrics? Does everybody get biometrics done? I had mine done when i filed for adjustment of status.

I am a little worried as its been one month and there is no update.

I called six weeks after NOA1 and the biometric appointment letter came in a week. So it doesn't hurt to call.

I had my Biometrics this morning... but there has been no update on my case online.. is that normal?

I had my biometric appointment on 1/11 but couldn't check my case online until 3/2. Apparently I was approved two days before. So don't worry about no update online.

Just looking for a general timeline of what we can expect...about how long after I send in the forms will the biometrics appointment be scheduled? Thanks!

Six weeks after sending in the forms but no biometric appointment I called USCIS and was told it took about 30 days. One week after I called I got the appointment letter.

Received GC today.

Hello everyone,

I haven't posted for a long time. Now here we are back again

We sent my husband's docs to remove conditions on 11/3/10 to California Center. We got our NOA1 on 11/15. And the biometric letter followed soon after (can't remember the date right now). It was scheduled for 12/29/10, which hubby attended.

I have tried to look up his case but the receipt number doesn't come up. On 1/19/11 I called the 800 # that was on the letter. First the lady who I talked to couldn't find the receipt # so she transferred me to another department. After waiting for exactly 58 minutes, we were told they have his biometrics and it's pending. Also, she said the receipt # is good and the issue is with the online service. Mind you the receipt # won't work on-line or thru the phone automated system. I tried it again last night & again stated invalid #. Has anyone have had this issue? I am getting concerned. Any thoughts would be appreciate it.

I had my biometric done on 1/11 but the case still hasn't shown up online. I called USCIS this morning and was told that the online system is not working well. Basically I just have to wait and call again if I have question. You can search on this website with "online status" and find that there are lots of people who can't check their cases on line so you are not alone.

Don't worry. From people who posted their timelines it looks like November filers are getting approvals now.

I applied my 751 on Nov 19th, and I haven't got any mail from USCIS. I made an info pass and they stamped on my passport ( Extension for a year). However, I took for almost 3 months already, and I still haven't got my biometric apt. Anyone has the same situation? Mine was sent to VSC .....What am i supposed to do right now???/ Give me some advice please!!!

After waiting for six weeks and haven't got any mail from USCIS, I called them (1-800-375-5283) and my biometric appointment arrived in two weeks. I don't know if it was coincidence or my call gave them a poke. But it doesn't hurt to try. Or maybe your local office is just swamp with applicants and they haven't gotten to your case for bio appointment.

Also, at the bottom of the NOA letter, it said to use the application number found at the top of the ASC appointment notice to check my status online. But the USCIS website asks for receipt number, not application number. I used that anyway and it said that my case cannot be found.

After about two years of calmness the activities pick up again. Our NOA date was 11/1 and there is a receipt number on the NOA. But when I check the status online at the USCIS website, it said the receipt number was invalid. It's been more than two weeks so I thought our case should be in the USCIS system now. Does anyone have the same experience?

My wife used the same AP three times. She has two AP documents also. The first time was going to Canada. Since she entered the US with her fiance visa so she only had 90 days on her I-94. When she went to Canada, her I-94 had expired and the Canadian Immigration officer asked her about it. So we told him the whole story about getting married and waiting for her AOS. She was allowed to enter after some checking. When we returned to the US, we had to go into the Immigration Office and the officer stamped her AP and issued her a new I-94 which is valid for one year.

The second time was when she went to Hong Kong and the airline agent took her I-94 as standard procedure. When she returned, the US Immigration Officer stamped her AP again and gave her a new I-94 which is valid for one year.

The third time we went to Canada and since her I-94 was still valid, there was no problem with Canadian Immigration. When we returned, she showed the US officer her AP and passport with the non-expired I-94 and she was allowed to come back to the US without anymore stamp on the AP.

So her AP has two stamps and she only need to carry one with her when she used it. I think they sent her two copies just in case she wants to use AP many times. As you can see, there are not many spaces on the AP for stamps.

You are doing everything by the book and legally. So don't worry. Just take a copy of AP and go.

Similar thing happened to us. We had our interview on 10/24. But the officer told us the US embassy in Hong Kong didn't forward the medical exam record to here and they need it. We had two choices: 1) Have them request it from Hong Kong, or 2) Get one here. We decided to get it here. So we went to International District and have the medical exam done by Dr. Kenneth Hong. The cost is $150 + $60 for chest X-Ray. We got the report in three days and sent it in. Now we have to wait for the decision. :angry:

After calling several Civil Surgeons on the list, I located two who will do the transfer of vaccination information onto I693A for $40. I used Dr. Kenneth Hong, (206)621-9919. No appointment needed. The other is Dr. Daniel Phan, (425)673-2572.

My fiancee's tourist visa was canceled on the spot during the K1 visa interview. So she has to use her K1 visa to come to the US.

My fiancee received her visa in the mail. I flew to Hong Kong to go to the interview with her. It was a pleasant experience. The staffs were so nice.

They did ask for tax returns at the embassy so make sure you have them.

I sent my application to NSC on April 23 and NOA2 was on August 29. I was touched only once and it was the same date as NOA2. You need to call them ASAP.

I just got a letter from NVC today saying that the approved petition will be forwarded to the foreign embassy within a week.

But when I checked this morning, the automated message still said they haven't received my case.

From reading other posts, it looks like NVC is processing NOA2 from late August now.

My NOA2 was 8/29 and I received a hard copy a week later. But NVC still has not received my case today. Also, when I checked online and called the automated status line with USCIS, my case is still pending with "On May 21, 2007, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice...."
