  1. Does anyone out there know the answer to the above question? 🙏

For the I-129f..”list any other names you have previously used”

“provide legal evidence of name change”

the name change was actually just a correction of a misspelling on previous name before becoming a USA citizen. And the name change happened during the applying for naturalization...Years ago..

would a copy of the naturalization certificate count as proof of legal name change? If the name change was done to simply correct previous wrong spelling on first name?

  2. Hello,

Is it possible to mail extra supporting documents after I had already mailed application for K-1 visa just last week?

I found a new piece of evidence of name change that was not mailed with the application, is it too late to send it before they send my application back for RFE?

I’ve only send it a copy of naturalization certificate as evidence of name change, but to my surprise I found a court document for petition for name change. I changed the spelling of my first name on the usa naturalization form. So I wasn’t sure if the copy of the naturalization certificate was enough legal evidence of name change.

Please help! this is all very stressful and any information on this matter will help.

    thank you

  3. Hello,

I have a technical question, can I submit a payment for K-1 visa using money gram from CVS? If so, would two separate money grams for the total amount be acceptable?

The filing fee for the K-1 visa is $535 and I have two separate money grams ($500 and $35). I got the money grams from CVS and $500 is the maximum amount you can have per CVS MoneyGram order policy.

I am not sure if Sending the payment for the fees this way would be acceptable or not since I am technically sending the total amount in MoneyGram order(s) to the US department of homeland security. Any insight on this would be invaluable, thank you so much in advance.

  4. i'm filing a petition to bring my fiance to the USA, I'm a naturalized USA citizen, and im filling the i-129f form for k-1 visa, there is a section that asks to (provide all names used in the past, including alias, maiden name and nicknames). the name im using to fill the form is the exact same name that is on my naturalization certificate and USA passport. HOWEVER, In the past, i had a different spelling of my name on the green card. i corrected the spelling when I applied for naturalization and now that's my legal name on my passport and USA naturalization certificate. Is this considered a name change? if so, do I need to provide legal proof of the name change? and lastly, would a copy of naturalization certificate be considered legal proof of name change?
