  1. Just curious about the letter of intent that needs to be given at the initial petition stage...

everyone says "original" does that mean, not the example letter given on this site? Iv'e printed that out for us both, changing the wording slightly, signed my one...will that be ok? or does it need to be something else?

  2. Got a question on filling the forms out...

Where it will say "names of prior spouses" I put none, do i need to then put n/a in the box after?

or is it ok to have none..then blanks after as they dont apply anyway...this goes for borth forms...

or do i need to put n/a after each box with none in?

    someone help cheers.

  3. Ah, thanks...

Just I read on here some people got rfe's relating to more explination on how they met relating to Q 18 ?

So wasnt too sure on that.

Also dont want to risk getting an RFE at all ..So being overly cautious should help ;) lol

Also have another question regarding the G-325A...Now it asks about previous employment, i did some work for a company in the U.S from home for around 2 years ..should i put this in the "show last occupation abroard" box or not? (i was receiving checks from the company)

  4. Hi all,

Me and my fiancee are preparing our k1 petition and had a question regarding question 18 on evidence of meeting etc..

Roughly how long does this need to be, should we describe details as to when i asked her to marry me etc? stuff along those lines...

Iv'e visited her twice in the u.s ...One thing is i dont have any boarding stubs or an intinenary from the flight for last year, there is however a stamp in my passport and i have bank statements showing purchases in her town etc, will this be fine?

Also have pictures from last year ...

From our recent visit I have, boarding passes, passport stamp, intinerary and bank statements, pictures...

I'm taking it that will be more than enough?

Also...in certain cases, do you put "None" in every single box pertaining to a single question, such as children, previous spouse etc?

  5. Hi all,

Just here with a question and some advise!

My fiance is a USC and is currently 16 (legal age to marry where she lives with consent p.s we have it) I'm under the impression everything is fine for us to file the k1 visa process? that is one of the requirements that you are simply free to marry and it's legal where you reside...

we are aware that she needs to be 18 before she can sign the I-864 support forms (she turns 17 beginning of next year) but with the length of visa processing and the initial 5-6 months before you need to enter and then another 90 days before getting married that it wont be a problem?

(someones bound to ask..i'm 21 as of today)

  6. Yes my fiance is a us citizen and i'm british, so theres no possible way that the visa application can be filled in before she is legally able to marry ? hmm that isn't good ...I'm really stuck with what to do, we want to get things out of the way as soon as possible, it will be another 6 months before she is legal..may have to look into other things.

But this seems the best way about it.

  7. Understandable, we have most of the prequisite evidence, photo's and such, we have known eachother almost 2 years and been together for most of that, problem is she is having such a hard time with me not being there, i'm very eager to push things foward as quickly as possible.

    any other suggestions are welcome.

  8. I've just got done visiting my fiance in the u.s for three months, we decided to get married about 6 months ago now that i have returned we need to start work on filling stuff out for the k-1 visa, the only problem is she does not turn the legal age to marry until feb 1st of next year, we dont want to wait until then to start filling out everything, so is it at all possible to get the process underway now before then in time?

    thanks all
