Hi! Sorry I wasn’t able to update this thread. All of our documents were accepted Feb 2021, and we waited until about April 23rd to email NVC if we needed to submit any more documents. An agent responded saying that we were already DQ’ed, but we haven’t received any official email from NVC so we were a little doubtful.

We then desperately tried to expedite our case on May 26th and thankfully we got approved June. BUT, we also received a Case FE review on the CEAC website asking for MORE documents (W2). After submitting, which took about 2 more months for them to review, we finally got DQ’d.

All in all, we wasted about 6 months having to expedite and constantly ask for updates. To say they are inefficient is an understatement. My suggestion is to try and request for an expedite or keep asking if they needed to submit any more documents.

That is good to hear. It is so sad they are working so slow, it is disturbing people's personal lives. I called NVC and they told me it is under Supervisor review because we uploaded a file in the wrong spot, but they said to not do anything or not re-upload anything because that could mess up our case and put us near the back again. They said supervisor review taks about 6weeks or less. Hopefully they get back to us soon and the DQ comes, because we did not receive any feedback or anything and it now feels like these 5-6 months went by waiting without even knowing what is going on with the case....

  2. Hey! Any update? Same thing happened to my relative and his spouse. All documents were "accepted' May 2021. But he still has not received DQ. We called NVC, but she said they reviewed but didn't provide a feedback and apologized, but didn't give me a proper reason as to why to. They are very useless people working. I even asked her if accepted automatically means DQ, but she didn't give me a simple answer

Yes I’m US citizen, you are right because of Covid they are delaying everything.

even for the greencard holders, I don’t think it’s effect if the interview already happened. For getting interview is a big queue for green card holders.

So For spouses of US citizens who have already been DQ, is it moving quickly to get Interview?

On march 6th its gonna be 13 months since we recieved our NOA1. We filed in texas cervice centre and seems like we're the only one from this center waiting that long for an approval. Is anyone else from the texas uscis center waiting 12+ months to get approved??😫😫

On March 10 it will be 13 months for me. I received my NOA1 last February 10, 2020. Mine is at the Potomac service center though. I've seen on other threads that Feburary/March files are getting approvals...but I'm not sure if they skipped over mine or what. They did not send me and request for evidence or anything either...so I am not sure what the delay is...

Hey guys. Our case was just approved today. It went to "case being actively reviewed" this morning and then to "case approved" after couple of hours. Thanks everyone for sharing your timeline and experience. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting for an approval!

Some insight into what I observed while waiting:
    1. When I received my NOA1 the letter said my case was in California Service Center.

    2. When I called USCIS to inquire about my case 2-3 months later, they told me it was transferred to the Potomac Service Center. I did not receive any notice neither through mail nor email.
    3. When I called multiple times to double check the location of my case, I've had multiple USCIS customer service reps giving me conflicting information, with some saying it's in Texas Service Center and some saying it's in Potomac. Apparently they have multiple databases where they check this information and may end up giving you wrong information. Eventually I spoke to Tier 2 officers and 2 of them confirmed that my case is in Potomac.

    4. When I called yesterday to inquire about my case I was told that there was an "evidence review" that occurred recently and that the case was assigned to an adjudicating officer. Today the case went to "actively reviewing" and then "approved".

Just thought I might share this in case you guys are in the same situation.

how did you get in contact with a representative. I'm still not able to do that. My PD was 02/10/2020...and when I check online there is still no update, it still says case was received and a notice receipt was emailed.

  6. Are the timelines on VJ accurate though? I filed a i-130 for my husband overseas in February 2020. I have an online receipt number (IOE), but when I got into contact with USCIS, they told me it was in Potomac. But when I check the processing time on their website they are still in November 2019....

Any one have any other updates?

I have the same. Feb 6th PD. I contacted them and the officer said that the entire window must pass before an inquirey.  Is this true?

The entire 14 months to clear your priority date?

I plan on calling them tomorrow. It is ridiculous if they are waiting that long...12 months (one year) makes sense...but over that is just too much. Let's see what they tell me tomorrow.

HI everyone, we filed February 29th and the NOA1 came from Potomac. When I inquired it looks like we got moved to Texas. I did not get a transfer notice. The case status check has shown " It is being processed at our E-Filed Case Processing Section location. The notice describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing " for a few months now.

Does anyone else that filed in February still have this same status mentioned above. We still have about 20 more days before we can inquire.

Yes!! I filed Feb 6, 2020, and my NOA1 also came from Potomac, but my case number is for e-file and I have the same status message as you. It is now Jan 2021....and it still says that when I check my case status...
