Did anyone here receive an interview date without expediting and what is your DQ date and visa category?

My husband’s case was documentary completed on November 10, 2020. He is currently living in Jamaica and awaiting for a interview to be scheduled and also to do his medical. I however was told that by NVC that the US embassy in Jamaica is not currently issuing CR1 visas. I just want to confirm if anyone has heard about this? Before NVC received our case, he had applied for a B-1 tourist visa while he waited. He has an appointment on February 2, 2021, should we still keep this appointment for the tourist visa, since the embassy is holding off on the cr1 visa, or would this affect his case?
