  1. A US citizen filing for a brother or sister (F4 visa) - about 11 years.

A US citizen filing for an unmarried minor child (IR2 visa) - no wait, a visa is available as soon as the petition is approved.

A US citizen filing for an unmarried adult son or daughter (F1 visa) - about 7 years.

A US citizen filing for a married adult son or daughter (F3 visa) - about 10 years.

An LPR filing for an unmarried minor child (F2A visa) - about 3 years.

An LPR filing for an unmarried adult son or daughter (F2B visa) - about 8 years.

Keep an eye on the visa bulletin. The times are always changing.

Is there an age limit when an LPR does petition for his/her son or daughter? I thought if son or daughter were over 21 years of age it took like maybe 8-9 years and if they under 21 3 years.

  2. Yeah, you can use the nadra birth certificate. nothing has to be attested by the foreign ministry. you can get a true english translation of your nikkah nama with agold seal for 1,000 rupees. ill scan and attach mine uf you want too see what it looks like.

Well the Nikkah Nama I have is one page with top portion in Urdu and English portion on bottom and both just talk about, husband and wife's name and who read the nikkah and address it is also has stamp from high court. It is not the same certificate they used to have in the past so I guess I'll send this in and see if they accept this.

Another question i need help with is when petitioning for parents to immigrate to USA do you file one I 130 for both parents or separate I 130 for each parents? Also when you have siblings in Pakistan should the sibling in USA do parents I 130 and do siblings at same time? Because they have one child at this time he is about 13 years old so parents will file him I guess when they become us citizen and the 13 year old will immigrate as immediate relative where as if the parents petition for their children it will take I guess same time for other siblings as a sibling doing it in USA. I'm confused over this right now, thank you.

  3. Hello All, When applying for Parents to come to USA as US citizen do you file one I 130 for both parents or you do separate for each one? Also when you have Siblings one brother at age of 13 years of age and other is 20 year and sister 23 and married how should one file them to come to USA? Should the petitioner do I 130 for siblings at same time of parents or wait for parents to come USA and file for their children's? which is quicker? Thank You very much in advance.

  4. I personally know this imam, he gave lectures in our mosque in NC before. His teacher got martyred in Lahore in his mosque his name was Sarfraz Ahmed Naeemi. I'm not imam but regulary attend mosque but the problem is no one has communicated such fatwa to other mosques. I believe if the fatwa document goes to each and every mosque in usa then you will see thousands imams signature on it. I guess only few imams attended the meeting to declare the fatwa. Last year the imams in NY protested against the talibans and terrorist who killed Sarfraz Ahmed Naeemi, but I can't find the article online.

By the ways if you go back to islamicsuperemecouncil web link on top you will see new names added of imams in USA who also endorsed the fatwa here is the new list.

    Additional endorsements

    1. Imam Sayyid Ahmed Amiruddin– Mississauga

    2. Imam Salim Chishti - New Lebanon, New York, USA

    3. Sister Khadijah Chmilovska – Muslim Chaplain at the University of Calgary

    4. Allama Imam Abdul Ghani Owaisy – Houston, USA

    5. Allama Imam Muhammad Amin Mujaddadi – Live Oak, California, USA

    6. Allama Imam Faiz Rasool Qadri – Houston, USA

    7. Allama Zubair Naqshbandi – San Francisco, USA

  5. Allama Imam Syed Mukhtar Naeemi – Houston, USA excellent !

    IIRC,

Usually an Imam in the head of a mosque, ya? So that's 20 mosque leaders that have agreed to honor the fatwa.

It's a start. I hope all of the mosques (IN THE USA ) will adopt and honor that fatwa by the end of this month.

Personally, I think it mondo cool that a Houston Mosque Leader stepped up.
