  2. Just got the same email a moment ago.

Got my 4th CRIS email today on Approval of EAD. So this clarifies my question that they do have a notification of EAD approval status, after "Card Production Ordered" status. Anyways, I'm happy yeah!!!!!!:dance::dance::dance:

  3. Thanks. One more question. Do I write this in a form of letter?

Some of the people indicated that they prepared for this. What is it? Please help. Thanks.

They want to know why you believe that Advance Parole needs to be considered in lieu of waiting for Green card approval which would be used for reentry purposes. We just kept it simple. For my wife, I wrote that she needed to return to Brasil ASAP to make and finalize all our wedding plans in Brasil so her family can participate. Then, after 4-6 weeks, after our wedding in Brasil, she'd return to the US.

We got our AP in no time - 35 days. Three weeks later, her Green card arrived (57 days)!

  4. Thanks. So is it true that we have to get a TB skin test before submitting I-693?

Yes, but it is my understanding that the new requirements are enforced for medical exams done after 7/1/08.

We are K-1 holders and we have all three required vaccinations (MMR, TD and Varicella).

There are a lot more than 3 vaccinations that are required. You can find the list on the CIS website.

    From the USCIS website...

    Date of Medical Exam

Do I have to submit the revised Form I-693?

Does the medical exam have to be done in accordance with the new TB requirements?

Do I have to receive the new vaccines (if age appropriate?)

    Before June 1, 2008

    No

    Yes

    Yes

Yep, the new vaccination requirements are in effect for EXAMS done after 7/31/08. If you already had your medical exam before that date, you do not need to have the new vaccine requirements done for your I-693. Just follow the directions for the I-693 for K-1 visa holders and fill out only the required areas.

I think what Kid Brooklyn was trying to say is that the list of vaccinations is large: just be sure with the Civil Surgeon (CS) that you have all required vaccinations. They will let you know if you need anymore. My husband needed a second round of MMR to be in compliance, for example, before the CS would sign the paper as being in compliance with all vaccination requirements.

You will definitely need to shop around for a CS who will do the transcription from the DS-3025 to the I-693 at a cheap price. Many are trying to get K-1 visa holders who've already had their medical in their home country within the last year to do the entire medical again...
