  1. congrats, u2rsobad.

couple of q's. how did you get a hold of CSC, i thought there was no contact info for them? what phone # did you use? what exactly did you ask them?

the reason I'm asking is i just got off the phone with a USCIS customer rep person. I used the 800-375-5283 number. she was really nice, and she tried to help me as much as possible, but all she told me was that as soon as it's approved from CIS, they send it right away to NVC. i tried to ask her when my case was sent from Cali, if it was sent. she said she unfortunately doesn't have that info. i tried to ask how often CIS mails files to NVC and she said she doesn't know. all she said was keep trying to contact NVC or try to contact the US embassy closest to beneficiary.

It's been 3.5 weeks since NOA2 and I've called NVC a couple times, they keep giving me the same old "2-4 week, or up to 90 days".

Your help would be greaty appreciated. If you know the # to California Service Center, that'd be a great help too. Thanks.

Finally!!! After speaking to 3 supervisors at CSC, USCIS and NVC..they finally found our paperwork. NVC received it last Friday and it's leaving NVC for Tokyo today and I got my new case number. I'm so excited!! What a rollercoaster of emotions over the last few weeks, I'm so glad this part is over! Thanks so much to all of my friends here at VJ for your support! (I just realized that I spelled "finally" wrong on the other thread..too excited to type I guess  )

  2. Hey hanna321,

1- Question #2 where it says "... and resided in US since (date)..." I was born in the US, lived abroad for 3 years, then moved back in 1989. Should I list my birth date or since I've lived in US continuously?

    Just list your birthdate.

2- Question #7: "I have on deposit in savings banks in US..." Do I put how much $ I have in my bank (it's actually a checking account, not a saving account- does it matter?)?

If you're earning above the poverty guidelines, and have sufficient evidence to back that up, you do not need to answer that question.

3- Also question #7: "I have other personal property, the reasonable value of which is..." Can I list the value of my new car, which is paid for in full?

    As above. :)

    Hope that helps! ;)

    Hey rambaldi,

thanks for your help, much appreciated.

  3. Hey everybody,

I'm just trying to get a headstart and work on my I-134. Few questions I had from looking at the form:

1- Question #2 where it says "... and resided in US since (date)..." I was born in the US, lived abroad for 3 years, then moved back in 1989. Should I list my birth date or since I've lived in US continuously?

3- Also question #7: "I have other personal property, the reasonable value of which is..." Can I list the value of my new car, which is paid for in full?

Thanks for all your help, I appreciate it.

  4. Hey everyone,

I hope everyone is hanging in there.

I was forced to change my password to login into the USCIS case status webpage. Unfortunately I don't remember what it is, and the I don't know the answer to the question to reset my password (well I do, but i don't remember the combination of capital/lowercase letters and the numbers I added to it). I know, I feel pretty stupid myself!

Any ideas who to call to have my account "reset"? :help:

    Thanks.

    I did the same thing!

Sign up again with a different email address like yahoo or Hotmail.

The only problem is that it says "duplicate accounts will be deleted". I'm afraid that might happen to me.

  6. Hi All;

I keep reading that one of the requirements for the affadavit of support is to include 3 years worth of tax returns/w-2's. I've just started work a few months back and my income is well above 125% of poverty. This year will be the first time I file for taxes since my highschool summer jobs (>6 yrs ago). Any suggestions on how to circumvent this problem? Thanks.

    Take care y'all.

  7. Hey rebeccajo,

to what 800-number are you referring? Thanks.

The bad thing about not having your NOA1 is you can't see if they have your name and address correct. Sounds like the NOA either got lost in the mail, or your address is wrong with USCIS.

Call the I-800 number to confirm your address and other details with them. It seems they have your case and are working on it. But it would be good to know if they have all your information properly recorded.

  8. Hi All,

I sent my i-129f packet in early-mid June, check was cashed on june 25, according to the Case Status website, the last time my file was "touched" was june 24. I still have NOT gotten my NOA-1 in the mail? I sent my packet to Nebraska and it was apparently forwarded to California. Should I worry at all? Should I email them and tell them that I haven't gotten my NOA-1?

    Thanks,

    Worried Filer :(
