  1. Maybe someone can help me out here (maybe even somebody who went throught he Embassy in Frankfurt Germany?). A webside shows a copy of the instructions for K1´s. The it says that in packet 3 they want you to immediately send back:

    DS-230 Part I

    DS-156

    DS-157

    DS-156K

    Photocopy of data page of passport

    Now im confused. I thought you only fill out and send back the DS-230 (OF-230) Part 1 biographical data sheet and hang on to the rest till the interview ?!? :wacko::wacko::help:

  2. Our petition got approved :dance::dance: Im getting ready for the interview now and gather documents. Now i read something about the interview that better not be true. It says that i need originals of EVERY document that is in the package. Does that mean i need my fiance`s paperwork in original too or only mine?!?!?!?

    =>

    4.3.6)...What should I bring with me to the interview?

    A...You need everything from the checklist, of course, but you also need originals of everything that was originally submitted as a copy, even with the I-129F petition (except the US Citizens passport and the original I-797 approval notice). Original birth certificates, divorce or death decrees, and originals of any documents to support the I-134 fall into this category. The Consulate has the right to ask for the original of any document, so best be prepared.

  3. My best friend, who also applied for a K1 almost the same time as we did, hav problems with her fiance right now. What would happen if she would stop the process ?? Would she have problems going on vacation to the US again ?? What is happening if so ??

    The petitioner would have to withdraw and cancel the petition if they decided to split. This would not affect her entry upon the US whatsoever.

    Also please fill in your timeline it would help others!

    thank you for the information!

    i will do so tonight wheni have the entire paperwork (we all know how much it is) in front of me :)

  4. The day of my interview is going to come soon (hopefully!!!). I have a big package i gonna take with me, carrying everything in there in originals. But there are 2 things we do not have originals from (just copies), due to my fiance being weird about keeping his paperwork straight: His 2 divorce-decrees are only existing in copies...Do u think that will cause any problems in Frankfurt during the interview ???????????????????? :help:

  5. We are going through an K1-Process right now. My fiance had divorcement papers in german that we got translated by a friend who speaks English and German fluent. Now im scared: Does it haave to be an offical and certified translator or is it enough if my friend signed this paper along with the translation?????
