  1. we had changed addresses and we have received several things all ready at the new address but

we got approved for green card and have not received it....got a email from CRIS saying it was returned...

by postal service....we followed the instructions on the email and called and changed address although we had all ready

done this and filed a AR11 again....Has this happen to anyone else and if so....how long was it before your card was resent?

We also never received a approval letter....just an email.....is it necessary to have an approval letter?

    Any information would be helpful!!!!!!!!!

  2. My finacee had the exam before the interview as is necessary and now we are in the AOS stage and I am not sure about

the I693 form.....do we have to go to another doctor here and take the form he was given (a one page vaccivnation documentation worksheet

from Canadian doctor...the form says at the top...for Canadian use only)

and have a US doctor fill in the I693 form?

    Any information would be helpful???

  3. I am hoping all of these issues get resolved....and want to congratulate all those with approaching weddings...our is May 10th so

we are working hard to get everything in order!!!!!!!

We also want to sit down and look at the forms that need to be sent off after the wedding....the AOS stuff....right now I

don't want to even think about it...but I know the sooner they are sent off after the wedding the sooner we get this behind us!!!!!!!!

  4. The interview was straightforward....

they checked paperwork....did not ask for copy of 129f, letter of intent,....

They took the 134 sponsor and co-sponsor info....

    Asked about 5-7 questions.....

    all very simple.....

Said to come back tomorrow at 2:00 and pick up Visa!!!!!!!

  5. What happen....did he get there late and they wouldn't let him him????

The reason I am asking is my fiancee is supposed to pick his up tomorrow....and I would like to know if there is something

I need to be prepared for....

  6. I completely understand....our interview is tomorrow...and it is definitely a wave of emotions.....

PLEASE let us know the details of the interview....and the good news.....I am sure everything will go fine!!!!!!

    Congrats....ahead of time!!!!!!!!!

  7. OK....I got a letter from CRIS in response to our inquiry about our Application in January....well is said they had allready approved us....yeah we know

    that now...it has been2 months...

But what caught my eye was the following statement on the bottom of the letter...

Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and

who is over the age of 14 must also notify the Department of Homeland

Security within 10 days from when they move (persons in "A" or "G"

nonimmigrant status are exempt from this requirement). If you have moved,

please complete a Form AR-11 and mail it to the address shown on that form.

If you do not have this form, you can download it from our website or

you can call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283

and we can order one for you. If you move, please call us with your new

address information as soon as your move is complete. If you have

already called us and given us this information, you do not need to call

    again.

    OK....are K1 129f's an "A" or "G" nonimmagrant status???

Has anyone read seen this anywhere???

It's easy peasy! Smile, be nice, dress decently, be polite, have all your documents in a folder for easy access. Bring a magazine or crossword book, as the waiting around time takes up most of the appointment. Actually talking with the documents person and interviewer is around 15 minutes combined. I had my crosswords.

I'm still in shock over the questions they ask. How do they filter out "fake" marriages if they ask qs like: Where did you meet? How old is your fiance? I mean, come on! Ask me about his work, which school he went to, his favorite elementary subject, etc.!

But anyhoo, they want to see how you answer, not what you answer.

I don't know why people freak out over the interview. If you are seriously lovers, trust me, the "interview" is small potatoes. Make sure all your forms are printed off from the computer and not handwritten! I had handwritten the DS-156 and was asked to go back downstairs to redo them on the computer. That tacked on half hour to my whole appointment.

Parking is $3/half hour. I paid $12 in total.

Would you mind listing what you took to the interview??

And what did they actually look at????

Did you have to pay any money for the Visa....you used to have to and now I know you do the stuff at the bank....but I just want to make sure

that I have money if needed....

  10. WE put Vancouver which is the embassy we wanted and live within 80 miles of and and they sent it to the wrong embassy ( montreal on the other side of Cananda and we had a headache to change it....you can wait and see,

or you might want to try and contact the service center where it is and ask them to change it...they do change of addresses....when you have moved...

so I would probably go to that menu and see if you can get them to correct this now....

    Just my thoughts....
