  1. A lot depends on the officer as they have complete authority of who they let in. You do have some good things going on for you for example Taxes and the US based employment. What they look for are ties to the US, if maintained. Best indicators are immediate family still residing in the US, your house / property/ bank among others in the US.
  2. If they ask your spouse to go wait outside, he/she could go get a coffee and bagel OR go buy flowers by which time you should be done with your interview. Worst case scenario: They ask we need your spouse to come and reschedule it....
  3. I know I wouldn't be able to contain it. You'll be surprised to know one person a few days ago was wondering if they could go late to the ceremony since its way too long (4 hours). 🙄
  4. Let us know how it goes. <-- Fellow Dallas customer.
  5. What you said is the different story lol. And stuff like that would come to bite during citizenship interview unlike the one through marriage.
  6. I don't know if IO will create a huge deal about it but one just should generally take away reasons for them to get pissed off. You could write down that info and bring to the interview for them to correct. If I remember it right, online version doesn't even allow you to proceed forward if you have employment or unemployment gaps unfilled. False timeline is not recommended.
  7. I provided proofs of everything since day 1 of marriage. My stack of papers was about 7 inches. Another thing that some people don’t include is a timeline of pictures. 100 pics, 4 pics per page, dated, venue, names of people in the picture.
  8. Glad to hear. Try to overwhelm them with evidence. The heavier the stack of papers (Evidence relevant to the marriage), higher the chance of no-interview approval.
  9. Assuming your GC is through marriage: You could have been unemployed from day 1 till n400 filing (though weird and might raise a question) has no bearing at the end (Think of stay at home spouse/ mom/ dad - homemaker). The bearing would be on your sponsoring spouse (due to affidavit of financial support). However, every single day or your employment and unemployment, even weekends has to be accounted for in N400. GC through work is a very different story.
  10. Sunday, November 13, 2022 Is the earliest you could have filed for ROC. Its recommended that you give 2-3 day window just to avoid that rejection notice. Remember there is a difference b/w Rejection and Denied. You can file for it today if you wanted but def do so before your GC expiry date.
  11. Madness? THIS....IS...USCIS! Brother, I hope you have been gathering a LOT of marital evidence. They look at separately living couples with more doubt. Its a winnable case, I would recommend you hire a lawyer.
  12. As others advised, don't apply under 3 years rule. You will most definitely be denied n400 but also will face heavy questioning about the merits of your marriage, since you guys live apart. Play it safe and apply under 5 year rule. Has your I751 already been processed? If not, you would need to worry about that first. Also, get your ID/ DL changed. Some IOs really get pissed off if you haven't changed it when you should have.
  13. Its really strange that you are asking such weird questions...What's such a hurry for!? Why would you ever want to be late, only to cause problems for yourself down the road? You have come so far and are unable to take 4 hours out of your day for such a celebration that 99% of people are wishing for?? I mean you are going to a ceremony where you can ask questions not sneaking into a CIA office...
  14. Do let us know how it goes post interview and what they were stuck on. It might help people who may be in similar situation.
  15. Every state has its own speed limit cutoffs. I know that for FL 30 mph (20 mph for some other states) over speed limit is considered reckless/ careless driving and lands in the zone of misdemeanor. Did you have to go to court mandatory for your 100 mph ticket? Important thing as others pointed is that $500 is the magic number, over which they look at things a bit more closely. I would recommend getting / keeping all records of payments, outcomes, court judgements. Its a good chance that its going to come up in the interview.
  16. Bring the proof of payment with you and let he officer know you want to make some changes before he puts you under oath.
  17. I agree with Mike, one bad event such as a 500 ticket can turn your life in the US upside down (not always but a good chance). You never know how harsh the president is going to be and how he / she will affect your life. Get this over with so you never have to deal with them again…
  18. You wont unfortunately get an answer to the nose poking practiced here. But yes what you are doing is a great thing. It shows you really care for him. So there are about 100 Qs, they dont change. I am unsure if they still use the "Trump" (new version) test questions or the original 2008 civics. I remember for some time they did and would ask which question set you wish to answer. Either ways, he gets a second shot at it. If he fails again only then the application will be denied.
  19. Tuff situation. I can understand your frustration. Only way I see is to either wait for some time and then if still nothing comes up, contact them.
  20. I assume you applied on paper? If so then yea, one of the draw backs of paper filing combined with the inefficiencies already haunting them. Perhaps reach out to them after a week.
  21. "Decision cannot be made", stems from an underlying situation. There is something in your family member's case they didn't like or want to perform further investigation in. If you could ask them the problem they had in the past, some contributors might be able to tell what needs to be done. One sure shot way to get them to respond is to sue them. However, it can be expensive and should be done with a lawyer. GL
  22. i-751 is much more than that. Most people don't face a hard time in i751 interview due to the enormous evidence they presented at the time of application. However, for folks lacking evidence, difficult more personal questioning becomes the core of interview. At the end, the purpose of i751 is for you and your spouse to prove that your marriage (was in case of divorce) is real.
  23. I am unsure how things work there but shouldn’t one be able to obtain a duplicate or have it re-created? I’m sure you won’t be the first such case the Pakistani authorities are dealing with. When working with USCIS it’s always best to send everything possible and more.
