Hello and greetings to you all,
I am an American Citizen who have filed a spousal visa for my husband. My husband already went to his interview at the U.S. Embassy in Trinidad and Tobago on December 4 ,2020 . The only thing the Immigration Officer stated is that he needed a joint sponsor since I do not meet the income requirement for my husband. We found a joint sponsor and we sent the documents requested. Immigration refuse the joint sponsor because they also do not meet the income requirement, their income for that year was $10,200.00 .
2ND JOINT SPONSOR :
We then found a 2nd joint sponsor and we sent all the documents requested by the US. Embassy (I864 , Tax Transcript, file jointly with wife W2, US ID)
Immigration is now asking for the joint sponsor's wife since they filed jointly for 2020(w2, immigration status and I-864A, marriage certificate) I spoke with the joint sponsor and he told me that his wife does not have a w2 that she works freelance as a baby nurse , and as a wife she is a home maker. Their INCOME combined will meet the poverty guidelines.
The husband's income was $65,300.00 on the transcript their total income per computer is $95,300.00
THE JOINT SPONSOR WILL HAVE 5 PEOPLE TOTAL INCLUDING MY HUSBAND. I am not sure if the person at the embassy knows what they are doing! We don't understand how his annual income of $65,000 is not sufficient.
I NEED TO KNOW THE FOLLOWING :
- if the wife does not have a W2 and there is no 1099 . The only record of her income was on the transcript that the husband provided for 2020
- Can we use both sponsors for income, the husband and wife filed jointly and the first sponsor can I use their bank statement as assets?
- The 2nd sponsor sent me a letter to attached with his wife documents explaining why she does not have a w2
CONCLUSION
Will not having a W2 for the wife hurt our case? Do we still have hope if the Joint sponsor does send a letter to immigration explaining why his wife does not a W2.
HOW CAN WE WRITE A COVER LETTER EXPLAINING ALL THIS TO IMMIGRATION. ANY TEMPLATE IS APPRECIATED. THANK YOU

I did get a joint sponsor and we submitted the documents. on the CEAC site when I checked the status again . it says DOES NOT MEET 213A. I am getting frustrated! Our joint sponsor has an LLC. She is more than qualified.
What is going on?

My husband did tell them that I uploaded my assets on ceac . And I also emailed them to tell them that my assets were uploaded on the CEAC site. They replied back from the U.S. embassy to tell me that I had to reload it again because it did not appear. The assets are my 401k and my savings account
Maybe it's best I wait for a joint sponsor then. Thank you!

My husband did his interview on december 4th. The counselor told him that he needed a joint sponsor to get the visa. We were not denied , we just need to either show our assets are above the poverty guideline or we need to get an affidavit of support. I was told by the embassy in Trinidad to download the assets information and then I needed to send them an email once it is completed. Any advice? My assets are above the poverty quidelines. for 3 people I meet all the requirements because my assets are above it

The joint sponsor for my husband salary is $66,000.00 . My husband will the the 5th person as his dependant. His wife makes $30,000.00 . Immigration stated that with the wife as a Co Sponsor they will meet the poverty guideline, because the husband does not meet poverty guideline. I read about poverty guideline and for 5 people it says the poverty guideline is $38,000.00
How do you calculate the poverty guideline ? Please let me know if the husband alone meet the poverty guideline for my husband?
Thank you
