  1. Hey guys,

Wife received letter scheduling interview for Dec. 10 . . . . yay . . . . but the checklist with the letter says:

Status of the completeness of the attached I-864.

The attached I-864 has been reviewed for tecnical completeness and correctness.

We are returning the attached document to you, because the following items are incomplete, or missing. Please disregard the unmarked paragraphs.

    These are checked...

    I -864 completed and signed.

the following page or section is incomplete or missing.

    --- #25 of page 4

Individual Federal income tax returns for the most recent tax year,or explanation if there is no tax returns to submit.

    --- 2006

Hmmmm, everything was okay and fine when the NVC reviewed it, all of our paperwork signed and in order --- what else could they possibly want?

    Now what?

    Thanks for the input.

  2. Hi all, wife in Japan got another letter from the NVC, AFTER case was completed on Oct. 20. We've called the state dept., and they say that we are just waiting for letter from Consulate to schedule interview. But the letter wife received today says the following:

The following information pertains to your interest in immigrating to the U S A.

The NVC has completed its processing of your case and forwarded your file to the designated American Embassy. The American Embassy listed below will contact you with further information in regards to your visa interview. Note that certain visa categories will not be sceduled for an interview until the case's priority date is eligible. Please do not the phone the Embassy where your case will be processed. You will be contacted when your priority date has been reached and a number is available. To check on your priority date, please use

http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi_bulletincurrent.html or useour automated service at 202 663-1541.

All beneficiaries that have a sponsor filing the form I-864 on their behalf, are advised to bring the most current tax documents and supporting financial proof that is current at the date of the visa interview.

    Case number TKY**********

    PA name **** *****

*Preference category IR1 Spouse of united states citizen

    Your priority date 12FEB2007

*If your preference category is IR 1 or CR1 and you are immigrating with your children(under age of 21) or your preference category is IR5 and you are immigrating with your spouse please read the following information carefully. If your family member did not recieve this letter with their name next to the PA name field, you must bring the original approval notice for their petition to the visa interview. Unless your family member's petition has been sent to the US embassy, there is no guarantee that your family member will be interviewed with you.

So . . . I called the phone number AND visited the website . . . . and still am very confused. What does all of this mean?

Thanks in advance for your help, and a 1,000 points to anybody who can explain it to me !!!

  3. It depends on the type of money order you bought. Is there an 800# on your receipt? Since it's been over two months, you can get a new one for the $70 and cancel the other one you sent back in June. It is not normal for the NVC to not have recorded your payment two months after you mailed it in.

Okay, talked to them today, ironically they did receive the money order and cashed it in July. Guess they couldn't tell me that when I called TWICE last week. Hmmmm.

BUT, they still have no record of the Affidavit of Support, so they are sending me another one to fill out and send back to them.

Is there anywhere that I can download this thing? That way I could print it out and mail it back to them probably before I even get the one they are sending in the mail.

I looked but I found 2 that say they are affidavit of supports, and now I'm even more confused. There are 2 affidavit of supports? I-134 and I-864???? Jeeze, have I screwed up royally or what?

    Which one should we send?

Sorry for being an idiot, my fault totally.
