VSC told me not to withdraw I-129F because it can cause problems for the I-130 petition process. It is his option to withdraw but there is not really a need for it. All he really needs to do is wait. Eventually the I-129F will be approved, sent to NVC, touched, and then sent to the embassy. The embassy will then send the spouse info. All the spouse does not have to do anything. That is where the I-129F will stop. Just move forward with the I-130.
Very good. Just do nothing and let the I-130 cruise on through. I was afraid that withdrawing the 129F might mess up the 130. My wife came here approved and has resident card and SS#. I am so glad that I didn't have to do the adjustment of status and all of that stuff.
many thanks

Hello,
I am posting this for a friend of mine who is in the process of bringing his wife here from Colombia. He is internet challenged. He has a K3 Visa application I-129F along with his I-130. He is wanting to withdraw his 129F and wait out the CR1 (I-130). Is this a smart thing? They are asking for a reason for his withdrawal. What should he say? Waiting for CR1 to be approved.
As for me, my wife 130 was approved before the 129F so it was not an issue. She is here with me now.....yea!
thanks

Hello,
I have all the DS-230 documents gathered translated and in an envelope ready to send. All I am waiting on is the cover letter. I am going to create that using the short cuts but have a quick question about the barcode......
When making the barcode do you include the BGT with the case number or just the number by itself?
Thanks

Hello,
I just have gotten notice that our application has been approved. Praise The Lord! I guess the next step is the National Visa center. More forms and Money. We still have an I-129F pending for the K3 Visa. Should I keep it alive or should I withdraw it.
thanks

Would it suprise you to know that I did a search. And the results were? Every profile that has the word touched in there timeline was pulled up. Which is every email post. I even read thriugh the mentioned gathered material and could not find my answer. I have been here for months and only have posted 2 questions. Both times it was only after I had put forth some effort on my on to find the question. NO definitive answer. So I come here to ask a question.

Hello,
I am new. I have been mailed my "NOA1" form I-797C back on the first of August. I have recieved nothing since. I see peoples timelines where there petition was "touched". What does that mean? How can you tell if it has benn "touched"?
Sorry if this is a stupid question. This whole process has made me feel like an idiot.
THanks ALL

Hello,
I have filed the I 130 petition and I know it has been recieved in Texas Service Center for I sent it registered mail with a delivery confirmation. I have got nothing back that says they have offically recieved it. I have been with the understanding that I have to wait until I have an official notice BEFORE I can file the I-129F for the K3 visa. I have read here that you can file both at the same time. Is this true? Even though I have allready sent off the I-130. Also, I paid the old fee of $190.00.
My next question is when does my wife go to the consulate to file for Visa? Is this not what the 129-f is for? I am confused. If I send in the I-130 and the I-129F What form does she need to file at conulate?
many thanks

Church wedding in Bogota on June 6, 2007 then a Civil wedding at magistrate on June 7, 2007. She currently lives in Bogota and I here in Georgia. I miss her terribly.

When Generating the bar code for the cover sheet. Do you use just the numbers or do you include the Alpha consulate designation? I cant remember..
