  1. Your spouse is first an immigrant and is counted as immigrant only. Later if you were to lets say, sponsor your spouse's parent, after your spouse become a citizen, or if your spouse has a child that may immigrate in a year or so, then your spouse would be counted as a spouse.

    DO NOT COUNT SOMEONE TWICE.

So to make sure I understood you correctly. I should count her as an immigrant and not my spouse even though we ARE married?

    I appreciate your help.

    YES

    MUCH obliged!!

  3. I am preparing an I-864 Affidavit of Support for my wife that is in Colombia.

For line 21. A. I am to enter the number entered on line 10 = 1

    B. Myself = 1

    C. I am married so I place 1 for my spouse= 1

    Household Size is 3

I'm confused here because line 10 is the number of immigrants I am sponsoring. The problem is My "spouse" IS the immigrant and the form is counting them as seperate people. My household size should only be 2.

What am I doing wrong here? Can someone please guide me?

  4. hi guys

i really need your help guys here , i want to go to jordan to get married there to my fiance , and i cant be the only sponsor because i dont make enough so my friend want to help me and be the sponsor but he is not from my household he is just a friend so which form he should fill so i can take with me , thanx alot guys

    its really a sweet site

My understanding is that each joint sponsor has to fill out an Affidavit of Support Form I-134 /I-864. Try checking out the instructions to these forms. They should explain what you need.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

  5. I sent ALL of my immigration documents to my husband via EMAIL. And the rest I took with me to the interview. I signed all the forms for him (Biographical forms) with his consent to avoid having to send them back and forth. That's my suggestion for speedy transactions.

    Andrea

How were you able to sign for your husband? Do you have a power of attorney or is there an easier way for you to prove that you are authorized to sign for him?

How did you email the forms that you can fill out on line and print but not save? (Boy that drives me nuts.) The best solution I could come with is to print, scan and save, but the quality is not that great.

    Thanks!

    Bill

I was wondering about this as well. How did you go about this?
